Great full English Breakfast.
En-suite would be good but it was no problem not having one.

Maybe too much furniture

The property was in an excellent location between Rostrevor and Kilbroney park. It was comfortable, clean and Pasquelina & Stefano were the best hosts you could hope for. Breakfast was fantastic and my daughter even enjoyed a special welcome surprise for her 10th birthday. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay, the location was beautiful. The B&B was lovely and the hosts so friendly. I would highly recommend. My only regret was we weren't staying for longer, will definitely be back.

Amazing breakfast - so much choice and very accommodating to gluten free

Pleasant and welcoming host. Short walk to village centre and pub for evening meal.
My interpretation of private bathroom is en-suite, but it wasn't, it was across a corridor. To be fair they did provide dressing gowns. Parking is on-street and it's a bit narrow, there's not a lot of visitor space. The bed, at least ours, was uncomfortable and "spongy". Breakfast was all microwaved and a bit limited.

Very comfortable and spacious, and near the sea and mountains. Pasqualina was very friendly and accommodating and made us fabulous breakfasts.
Noisy road nearby but not a problem at night.

The Location is fabulous overlooking the lough. We were welcomed by Fran, who I think may be the housekeeper ? She was really friendly and welcoming and gave us suggestions of where we could go that night for a bite to eat and a drink as we were celebrating my husbands birthday. Thanks Fran !
I booked our overnight after looking at the photos on booking.com and decided it looked lovely. Our Deluxe King Room had a roll top bath, the shower was an attachment above the bath with a shower curtain. However, it was near impossible to get the mix of hot and cold right for a shower, and safety wise , it’s an accident waiting to happen . No handrail to help you get in or out of the deep roll top bath after a shower. We are in our 60’s and due to this ended up leaving without showering which was really disappointing. The chairs were also not the chairs in the photos , quite drab in comparison and uncomfortable.
The roof terrace is blessed with beautiful views over the lough but unfortunately it looked tired and neglected with weeds. Also, the garden furniture needed to be updated .
We have stayed in many B&B’s throughout Ireland . This is the first time we have ever felt the need to leave negative comments on a stay, which is a pity. Rostrevor is a beautiful place to visit , and we will certainly be returning but unfortunately not to this particular B&B .

This is a small B&B on a scenic area. There are many other options in the area. The room was clean and tidy, with a nice little selection of instant coffee, tea and biscuits. You have your own electric kettle. The bathroom is spacious and well stocked.
The rooms are small and heating is only turned on upon request. The room was freezing when we arrived, but other areas were warm. The shower did not work propery, going cold and scalding during my bath. The claw-foot bathtub looks lovely, but showering in it is complicated and the bathroom got all wet from lack of grouting around it. Decoration is questionable, with a scary sculpture of a chicken in the bathroom under an antique sewing machine. Not really my taste. Lastly, there was a strange smell in the room which we found was a pot of herbs. It was too strong but once I put it in the bathroom and closed the door, the room was ok.
There is no parking and street parking is hit and miss.

Brilliant location for the Lough and the main town. Hosts are amazing. Gave us a lift on New Year’s Eve into town as it was raining. Made to feel like it was home from home.

Location beautiful. Host fantastic. Room a little bit tired. Breakfast very good.
More wardrobe space. A little bin in the bedroom would have been handy.

Perfect location just a short walk from Rostrevor’s magical nature walks and exciting pubs and restaurants. Perfect staff - I have travelled most of the world and Pasqualina from the Oystercatcher was the friendliest most welcoming host. the room was comfortable too.

Amazing location, great being able to bring our pet dogs, nice decor and great bath. Bed and covers were good quality and comfy.
It was very noisy. There needs to be some insulation added or something because noise from the host's family and/or other guests kept us up till past 4am on the first night and almost as late the second night. That along with being woken up around 8am both days meant we were tired for the trip. Because all the floors are wooden and the toilet for upstairs was above our bed it genuinely sounded like somebody was peeing stood next to you. Could hear every last drop of pee and TV/talking. Wouldn't mind of it was a cheap B&B but for the price you expect a good night's sleep

nothing I didnt stay
Staff rude and blamed me for a service issue. Abrupt, argumentative and impatient, completely unprofessional. Made me feel like I was an inconvenience and a problem. Despite them being unable to honour my booking they told be I "maybe"/ "might" get a refund. Thought a cot was suitable for 3 and 1/2yr old. Ruined my birthday and somehow made me feel like I'd done the ruining so massive gaslighting from the owner there. Spent rest of night very upset with an exhausted toddler finding alternative accommodation and getting to it. Very very unpleasant experience
