exterior was exactly as expected. well maintained and lovely
interior was less than ‘rustic’. contact paper on kitchen table and around stove top peeling off. remote for air conditioner didn’t work due to missing spring in battery area. no paper towels or tissues provided. no dish towels for drying dishes -had to use bath towel used bath towel as hot mitt to remove tray from toaster oven

Really nice garden and beatuifull black sand beach right in front of bungalows.
we had portable AC in the bungalow, it was very loud, stromg wind. without quiet mode. A lot of quick fixes in bungalow as they are old. Need a renovation.

It is very secluded and has a nice private little beach. The host was extremely nice and took great care of me. I also liked the dog on the property.
Nothing. It was amazing.

The bungalows are well equipped and right on a beach. Ideal for a couple or adults with kids. The little dog Fare is adorable and very good at digging for crabs.
Just make sure you have plenty of insect repellent and if you wish to sit outside in the evening you will need coils to burn.

This accommodation totally met our expectation and hopes. It was private, quiet, right on a lovely beach, good size, great deck with a view of the sea, comfy bed, lots of hot water in shower, central location. It was a bit rustic, but that suited us fine. We were able to buy groceries and have a simple meal on the deck and enjoy a bottle of wine in the evening. For people reading this - it was not a posh resort style accommodation - with daily room servicing, fresh towels, polished new furnishing, etc, but that is not what we were looking for. We stayed 5 nights. Unexpected bonuses: air conditioning. TV with Netflix, good wifi
Honestly, there was nothing we didn't like. That is not to say it would meet everyone's expectations, but we were very happy with all aspects of our stay.

The most authentic stay we ever had not only in Tahiti but in all Polynesian islands we have visited. We will never forget the big beautiful smile of Hina, who was not only happy to help us with our stay but also to share with us her knowledge about her country and culture and to find the best ( advices, tattoo artist, day trips etc) for all our requests. The great hospitality of the owners who organized an unforgettable delicious bbq for all the guests. The heartbreaking sunrises during our breakfast in the beautiful yard, the relaxing moments listening to the waves while sleeping. the convenient location between the two parts of the island ( Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti) and last but not least the great value for money.

excellent landlord Carlos with his wife as well as Hine, the local manager. Our stay was exceptional as they went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable. Early check-in after 2 days of travel, cake and fruits in the fridge as a welcome bonus. Carlos came over with his wife and did a barbeque session on the beach for us and they also took us to explore the inland with their 4x4 vehicle. He gave me a ride to Papeete to pick our care and also got discounted ferry tickets for us. Hine was always very helpful and kind. Excellent value for money and we really enjoyed the tranquility and basically a private 1km beach right in front of our bungallow. Great place for a family with little kids.
maybe the kitchen could have been a little bit cleaner but that is the only thing that did not reach excellency during our stay

Hina, the on-site manager was fantastic - knowing some basic French will come in very handy! She was so helpful and always very friendly and warm - especially to our kids. The location was great - on a beautiful black sand beach, outside the hustle and bustle of Pape'ete. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony. You will definitely need a car to get around as there are not shops or restaurants in walking distance but there is a great Carrefour grocery store and restaurants 10 minutes away.
I would consider this to be a "rustic" stay as the bungalows are in poor condition and in need of repair, ours had a leaky roof, and was not fully protected against mosquitos. We were disappointed in the overall comfort as we were travelling with two small children. The pillows and bed were very uncomfortable and the sheets did not fit the mattress. The bungalows have a lot of potential as this is truly a beautiful spot - but definitely would have liked to feel more comfortable staying here for an entire week.
