Un po’ di polvere nella stanza e manca una finestra .. c’era il finestrino

Good breakfast
Lovely spa area and jacuzzi pool, on a sunny day
Lovely grounds
Receptionist asked on arrival if we would like fresh towels and wind down service which never happened.
The kettle in our room full of limescale.
Only 2 small bottles of water in room for 2 days.
The toilet seat closes on you.
Shower tap difficult to use, I had to have a scalding hot shower as the tap wouldn’t turn cold.
The steak at dinner was like a frozen brick.
You can not use the spa once you’ve checked out.
No banister on the stairs.
Tired looking hotel.
Scratched, dirty doors and walls.
The recommended taxi from reception left us stranded at as he couldn’t wait 5 minutes.

Breakfast good , location good , spa very good
Abit of noise during night , people keep opening and closing doors

Lovely hotel with good facilities.
A fridge in the room might be useful. And the three hour limit, one time visit to the spa should be explained before booking so people know what they are paying for.

A late check in but still a warm welcome from the staff. They checked me in and then sent my bags to the room so I could go through to the bar for a drink after a 4 hour drive.
I was in 35 which was a very long walk away from reception down numerous corridors and up and down stairs

Friendly staff, comfy bed, decor, jacuzzi.
Even though resident not guaranteed entrance to spa. Communication from reception. Room didn’t look like pictures on site. TV didn’t work. Chef left sunday night when we sat down so couldn’t order food!

Staff very friendly and helpful, hotel clean
Used to serve a freshly cooked breakfast but have now switched to a hot buffet. This was a differentiator for me but no longer sets it apart.

It was a stunning property and when we arrived we received a surprise upgrade by the lovely lady on reception. The room was divine and I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Small amount of tea and milk in the room. Had to wait for buffet breakfast and when arrived beans were cold

Absolutely loved this place! Great view, great location and very clean. Amazing attention to detail. A very posh place!
Most of the staff were very dull, not smiling or looking to help, not making any conversation. we went there for our wedding night but did not find anyone very impressed. The next morning after breakfast we had a second coffee after checking out and we finally saw one of the staff who seemed to be of more authority that smiled at us and asked us how we were. Maybe it was just a bad day for some of them but I just found their approach kind of cold.

From the moment we walked in to the hotel we were warmly welcomed. We had a snack in the bar that was excellent and the room was very comfortable and spacious.
We found no faults during our short stay

The room was lovely (although no great view). The food was fine with my gluten free requirements generally well catered for.
I always think gluten free sausages should be available at hotels. They are not difficult to get hold of! . Gluten free bread was available but gluten free toast was not offered other than putting it through the toaster used by everyone which would not be a good idea.

Very comfortable bed, lovely pillows and cotton sheets
Good lighting, very very clean room, I would say exceptionally clean.
Plush fittings and deep pile carpets
Felt safe & secure, as a woman on her own
I personally think the shower should show which is the ‘on/Off’ button and also the temp button, I sort of had to guess.
I also think the shower controls should be nearer the shower door, so that you don’t get wet before warm water comes through.
But i am struggling to find anything negative!
There is nothing else that I didn’t like

The value for money was very very good, the room was spacious and very clean. The staff were polite and helpful.
There was room for improvement with breakfast, the bacon was slightly over cooked, the sausages were slightly burned, the beans weren’t hot they were room temperature.

Lovely hotel with lovely friendly staff. Enjoyed the room - it was fairly spacious. Nice shower. Comfy bed. Lovely grounds. Nice bar, cocktails and restaurant - food was good.
Hospitality tray was a bit basic but adequate. I think when you have two people sharing a room, you should give two packets of biscuits. I'm not a fan of the Nescafe sachets, I think they taste a bit cheap and nasty but I know this is the go to for a lot of hotels. Good that they provided bottled water. A mini fridge would have been perfect along with a coffee machine.
4.5
The staff were very friendly and the room was easy to find and a good size space.
There was a smell of drains in the bathroom.
The pillows on the bed were very high, not the most comfortable to sleep on.
4.5
Very convenient location. Great service. Exceptionally well maintained old hall.
Drinks at the bar quite expensive but can't say I haven't seen other places more so.
