Superb

A super-friendly welcome - a gracious and generous host immediately sharing our interests in birds and nature. Stayed one night in a twin room - although not the one featured at the time of booking. Very clean and cozy room rustic decor, with compact bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Lovely rural setting - peaceful and quiet. Very relaxing. A delicious simply homemade breakfast with local products. Hope to return and stay a little longer...one day.

We were offered a cabin which was a semi detached shed Very basic in poor condition with leaking smelly septic tank Very poor as the picture on Booking.com showed the hotel but we had to pay before viewing our room Extremely disappointed and the price most definitely did not reflect what was advertised. Leaking roof over small 'seating area' No wi fi as advertised! I request a refund!

Definitely will stay again

A real escape into the countryside with open fields a view of the surrounding mountians and a lake. Despite this it is close enough to the town to quickly get to restaurants and bars. Comfortable room and functional bathroom. Excellent breakfast.

Did not have the chance to spend another night.

Marvellous Eco Lodge with attention to detail, efficiency, care, smiles and dedication.

Everything was fantastic, yet foremost the owner Miguel. Extremely friendly, foresighted, efficient, full of information, knowledge and direct experience about the history and the wildlife of the area. The room was efficient and practical, quiet, and i absolutely love the dining room view. Each meal was delicious and my dietary requests were attended to and surpassed.

Everything was amazing at Casa Gerbe, We should have more places like this who really care about the environment, local customs, regional and seasonal food, energy consumption, authentic holistic experiences in nature.

Good location for ornithologists with lovely host.

Miguel, the host, was very friendly and helpful with nothing too much trouble. The location is incredibly peaceful with great views of the Embalse Mediano. It is very easy to take a lovely walk to and around the reservoir. The guest house has an excellent common area/lounge with views to the reservoir and a great wood burner, which Miguel set for us despite the temperatures outside probably not requiring a fire...but it made for a wonderful atmosphere. WiFi in all areas excellent.

The room we had was very small and basic and the bathroom tiny.

Lovely quiet location far away from anything

- the bed was very uncomfortable. It took my wife 2 full days to recover from back pain. - the wifi did not work most of the time. When it did, the signal was very weak everywhere in the house.

Beautiful, peaceful, tranquil...............

Miguel was very accommodating. We had a gorgeous view of the lake. All was as you would wish for .... in a rural hotel. Lovely location. Peaceful setting. We loved it................ definitely go back and recommend it. Only 5 minutues out of town too.

Mattresses and pillows a bit hard!
