The ambiance of the hotel. The pool and overlooking the sea.
More options for breakfast menu.
3.0 / 5.0

Nice view from upstairs
Close to tagb
Away from tourist traps
Mostly western visitors and food
But has pinoy meals
Dinner tasted good
Price is borderline
Overpriced for quality of room and amenities
Needs update and maintenance
Pool has zero grout in most places . Broken tiles
Flooding rains , floods the patios in dining areas
No aircon in food areas . Sweaty even with fans on high.
No elevators!!! Not handicap friendly in most areas
No hand rail in pool
Too many stairs
The power was off , no emergency lights at all .anywhere . The generator took 5 min to start up.
Aircon wasn't very cold .
No towels on check in
TV had a really bad signal and channels poor
No cover on remote .
Toilet area had no soap. Shower had no soap
The guard moved bags not bell hop
Breakfast buffet was poor . And ordered meals poor
Could be better if it was updated and service was better .

The location is great. The staff are lovely and always helpful. Only one of the pools were opened and that pool was great. The other pool was closed for maintenance the whole time sadly.
Our room should have been boarded up for repairs. A massive mould stain was on the roof. The smell of mould was overpowering, the staff had to come and spray fabric softener twice a day to mask the smell of mould and mildew but whenever we would wake up or the staff wouldn't spray, the room was nauseating.
The first night we arrived, our body towels, hand towels, bed sheets and bathmat ALL had BLOOD on them. We had to ask the staff to change the sheets and towels but we were too scared to change this throughout our trip so we refused new linen or towels.
My cousin and her partner stayed in another room at Ocean Suites at the same time and her room was fine, in fact there was no visible mould and no mould smell.
When we told the staff about the issues, the staff advised that there were no spare rooms for the duration of our stay and they insisted that we PAY for an upgrade to another room which was actually not available the entire duration so we would have to go back to the mouldy room on the last few nights.
As this was completely outside our control and as duty of care in hospitality business, Ocean Suites should have provided us with any other room that was not a biohazard while they closed our room for repairs and work.

The view is amazing. The staffs are warm and hospitable. The room is spacious.
Our room was not clean when we checked in. The floor was untidy and has not been vacuumed as I have seen wrappers of gum still lying on the floor.
The breakfast is extremely basic and boring. We ate cold meals (fried rice, meat, typical filipino breakfast) every morning. The continental breakfast was limited to cereal, pancakes, bread and some cakes. They also had water melon and pineapple.
They cramped in a birthday party in the limited space by the pool/dining area. All the invited guests to the party occupied the whole area for the pool and restaurant, leaving no room for the hotel guests. We had to eat dinner in our rooms and could not access the pool. This went on for several hours at night and the hotel guests were not even notified that the space (restaurant and pool area) will be packed with people (or essentially closed). In fairness, the staff said we could still use the pool and also suggested we use the pool downstairs, which was closed for maintenance for unforeseeable future that suddenly became in operation for that night. This won’t be an issue if the space can accommodate all the hotel guests plus the party guests without over crowding. Clearly something is not quite right im here.

Staff were amazing and facilities outside the room were great
The room was just damn smelly. Some sort of plumbing issue. The bed and pillows in particular were super firm and not overly comfortable. The rooms and sheets could have been a bit cleaner for the price paid for the deluxe rooms.

The views and the overall kindness of the staff is what really made the experience. They have 2 pools and a cafe within the hotel.
4.0 / 5.0
Location, the view, restaurant chef and food, swimming pool, great staff, good room size, firm matrices, cable channels.
Bathroom toilet doesn't flush.
Door noise when shut in other rooms which is disturbing especially early in the morning.

The food in the restaurants was really nice. Amd the staff throughout the resort were awesome.
The aircons in the rooms down stairs could do with a clean. They smelt a bit mouldy

free upgrade
no bathroom towels provided during our first day. dirty towels on the second day. blood stain on duvet
3.0 / 5.0
The view from the pools. Loved to work from the second one because in the night it does look cozy. Overgrown caffe is the best.
The food from breakfast is not really for breakfast (for example it was served fried fish with a few types of rice). Our room was dirty and outdated, but the worst is the aircon which was way too noisy therefore you can’t use it while you are in the room. Not worth the money at all.

The location is good but it could do with a good spring clean and re painting there is ants everywhere which could be sorted immediately.
Its good the set up is nice with 2 pools but a good clean it needs decorating.

Lovely oasis. 2 pools. Quiet. Comfortable large bed. Modern renovation. Helpful staff.
Breakfast very limited, especially if you don't eat meat (e.g. no cereal)

The building, view out to the sea, warm infinity pool, balcony sea view. Just wonderful.
400 peso fixed fare for reception taxi to Tagbilaran is far too steep. Local Tuk Tuk drivers will only charge you 100 pesos.

Almost everything, no complaints. Delicious breakfast, room service, staff were excellent, nice pool and sitting area and more
The events on christmas eve and new year were average and boring.. Just a singer and few hotel guests. If they opened the hotel for visitors it would've felt more like a celebration

The hotel is new and clean. Staff were very friendly and polite.
Booked an ocean front room. but was told upon arrival that that room is no longer available, which was upsetting. I had to pay extra to secure another ocean front room. Other than that, my stay was very good.

The location for me was fine as I wanted to be in that specific area. However, there was not much within walking distance and the road was busy.
I had organised and paid for a "premier" room. I arrived late in the evening. the room was at best a bit dingy.
Very tired, and while not dirty could do with repair and a refresh. There was a bucket placed in the bathroom to catch the drips from the leaking shower and the Air conditioning made a squeaking noise all night. I did complain and was moved to a lower and smaller room....no refund was offered.
At breakfast I was given the bill. I explained that I had paid for breakfast with the room. I then had to repeat this to the reception staff and then a manager. I showed them the booking confirmation and was told that it was a mistake from Booking.com. I insisted and was not charged further.
