Old and quirky
Comfy bed
Good breakfast
Small spa, again, old and quirky
Antique mahogany furniture and items around.
It could do with some updating of decoration
We were the youngest people there, we’re in our late 50s🙂

Location
What was advertised and precooked was not available. The pool closes at 5pm. We were to meet and dine with friends so precooked a table for 6 to dine at 7pm. When we arrived at 4pm we were informed they did not do food on a Sunday. No bar or facilities or lounge furniture coffee We always look at the bookings website pre booking. It did not state no food on a Sunday nor that the pool closed at 5pm

Smelt awful of fust . All my clothes stunk of fust . All my family in different rooms said the same. My son and his wife refused to stay and booked hotel Opposite Was attending my Granddaughter wedding so could do nothing about it . Came from Spain to daughters in Bournemouth and drove through to Driffield. Price was over 200 pounds which we paid .didn't have time to ask for a rebate. Breakfast was very good but dinning room smelt . My family booked Sunday lunch for 12 of us but canceled because of smell fusty . Mr. Fewster .

Friendly attentive staff. Good location
Bathroom a little tired. Seal around bath perished.shower controls loose on wall. Inadequate lighting in passages along with poor signage

Location excellent in the heart of this lovely town very close to good food outlets. Excellent gym - not new and glamorous, but large and with lots of sturdy well-used and maintained equipment. Quirky small but fun pool and jacuzzi in basement area. Charming older property. Very obliging and friendly staff. Tea coffee making facilities in rooms. Good size bath.
Due to its age the property has poor to no soundproofing. If you are a light sleeper you will struggle, even with ear plugs. I would suggest the manager puts up signs in the rooms asking guests to keep noise to a minimum but even then conversations in other rooms can be heard and if next door flushes the loo in the night or puts the taps on the sound is very obvious.

Breakfast fresh and very well cooked, just the right amount of choice
Car parking was difficult, but sorted in the end.

Lovely place altogether.
Got lost in the corridors a couple of times, but that was my fault. 😂🤣
4.5
The cooked breakfast was great value and enough to last the whole day. The staff were really friendly. I liked the ambiance of the hotel with its very old parts.
The car parking is a bit tight, largely because cars have become wider. With limited space available, its difficult to see how this may be improved. Because of the age of the hotel, the bedroom floor was very creaky, its probably fortunate that no-one was in a room below.

Nice size room, hotel has 2 feature wells, fascinating pictures, objects, ornaments and furniture, lots of history, excellent breakfast and evening meal, and benefits from a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
Parking a little tight but manage to park both nights. Staff very helpful and lovely and friendly.
Happy to stay again in the future.
The wardrobe/ closet area only has one socket,so the kettle has to stand on top of the trouser press, which is not quite wide enough,so could do with an extension lead or a small shelf for the kettle to sit on better.

It was very hard to find rooms/directions, the hotel lacks any kind of signs to help you.
The car park is not fit for the hotel, I appreciate it was made for horses and carts but needs to be made clear that parking is slim to none, especially when shared with the spa.
4.0
The hotel is perfectly placed in a lovely town. The building itself is great, so much character and original features. The staff were cheerful and helpful.
I think for the price we paid breakfast could have been included. And we know it isn't the hotels fault but the carpark was a challenge.

I didn't like anything.
No tea, coffee facilities in room. Carpets were absolutely filthy. Every single floor board in the hotel squeaked. The only way to open a window was to force it open and put the bathroom bin in the window sill to keep it wedged open. The bedroom door didn't close unless you pulled it really hard, if you thought it would close behind you, you were wrong. Trying to sleep whilst the people in the room next door walked around and the boards creaked so bad it was terrible. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this was just awful. No parking for the guests, yet the owner had his van parked in their. I had to park across the street where the hire car might not be safe and was then advised that if I didn't get over their and put money in the meter by 8am id get a ticket. It was filthy. And I couldn't even make a cup of tea. The reason I stayed here was because it was a best Western rated hotel!! Seriously you need to sort that out.

A lovely old building. the decor and furnishings in keeping with the age of the hotel.
clean and well maintained.
The spa facilities are amazing.
staff are outstanding, helpful and friendly.
Fabulous Full English , bar meals good standard and reasonably priced .
The car park is tight . there are two large concrete obstacles in the entrance to the carpark which make the entrance narrow.

Stayed one night in an Executive Double Room. We loved the room, it was very big and decorated in an "Old World" style. The bed was also big and we had a very comfortable nights sleep. As a guest of the hotel we could use the spa facilities for free (excluding treatments) which was a bonus. The staff were all very friendly and polite. We had a very pleasant stay.
The room was a bit on the chilly side. It was a large room so it's probably hard to heat such a large space. We did try adjusting the valves but it didn't make a difference. Once tucked up in bed it was fine.
Didn't like not having a fridge. It's nice to have somewhere to chill drinks. We were only staying one night so not a big problem. There was plenty of space (our room had a seperate sitting area from the bedroom) so a fridge could be installed.
Coat hooks....somewhere to hang coats rather than on the backs of chairs would be great. This is something that many hotels overlook. Our room was big so a free standing coat stand could be put in the sitting area and would be in keeping with the decor.
The bathroom suite was clean and functional but it could do with an update.
2.5
Staff very courteous and tried to help wherever possible.
Room was spacious, bed was nice and comfy.
Breakfast was excellent, very tasty.
WiFi in room 14 was extremely poor
The WiFi signal strength was very, very weak and it continually dropped out, to the point where I was unable to send or receive emails without my email program timing out.
Smokers collected outside the back door, quiet close to room 14 windows and were rather noisy at times
4.0
The organically features of the hotel.
Nothing.
5.0
The staff were amazing, the room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable.
Nothing, it was amazing.
