Nothing
Terrible place, we have been waiting for 2 hours on the street full of homeless people and trash for someone to open the door or pick up the phone. Finally someone arrived and told us the owner is traveling and doesn't care about the hostel. She tried to convince us to stay on the phone for the full price not even offering breakfast that was in my initial booking or any kind of compensation for the waiting time. She was really rude on the phone and was shouting that we could go to sleep in the favela instead if we don't like her conditions (which was nothing what I initially booked).
Stay away from this place if you don't want to have your night ruined and have no place to stay in the middle of the night!

The hostel is located on one of the main street, very good position. The rooms and the toilets are clean and also the kitchen is big and well organized with stuff. The included breakfast is delicious with fresh fruits and natural juice. Neuza is a very nice person, I really felt like at home, very good energy between guests. Highly recommended!

the people were very friendly and accommodating
the sheets weren’t that clean and one of the beds was like a table. but we were only there for the night so it didn’t matter.

This place has two secret weapons: the downstairs area (kitchen and garden), and especially the owner, who is just delightful, wise and helpful.
Conversation moise on the street started at 4 am and continued steadily.

Breakfast included.
Booked a private room which wasn’t private at all. Its just a small plastic wall that doesn’t reach the ceiling that separates you from the dorms. It needs to be advertised differently.
The whole hostel is a bit worn. There was no sign or warning that the walls had been painted and I got paint all down one side of my jacket. The volunteer got it off with a chemical but I had to wash the jacket myself with my own funds and it had faded the colour of the jacket.

The lady was nice even though she doesn’t speak English at all. She did some efforts to offer other rooms but none of them were nice.
Everything was very disappointing.
The whole building requires some maintenance. The bathroom were disgusting to use, especially the shower, where there is no hot water.
The private bedroom wasn’t private at all. It’s just a fake wall lock with a small locker that doesn’t even reach the ceiling.
We could here everything in the building from the streets to the stairs and upper floor.
We were the only guests and it looks like an abandoned place, we really don’t understand the reviews.
Also we were bitten by some small insects we can not identify.

Really enjoyed the location (a short walk from Pelourinho but not in the middle of all the tourist chaos). My room had an amazing view of the ocean and sunset. The best part was spending time with the owner Neusa. She is super sweet and made me feel at home. She left me breakfast every morning and gave me great recommendations of things to do while in Salvador that I would not have found otherwise. The cost-benefit was great!
Cleanliness could be a little better. The halls and my room were kind of dusty.

The People working here are Nice.
The private room is not closed with real walls but with boards that do not go up to the ceiling. So other people sleep close to you without real privacy. Hostel not compatible with the description and not clean at all. Very disappointed.

The owner is really welcoming with all the guests! The historic building has a real history.
The mix dormitory has a wonderful view on the sea.
There is people who clean few times a day with chlore to keep the toilets clean and I really appreciated that mostly in covid time.
It's in the city center perfect to explore the city

My room (shared) didnt have a door lock and it was too noisy. Bathrooms are incompleted (no door in the shower) and need improvements. Plus this, they said they have breakfast but none was served.
