Place is very chilled and inclusive. staff is friendly. Rooms are small but comfortable. Shared kitchen is well equipped. And it is very close to Main Street with shops. Outdoor area is really nice and peaceful overlooking some greenery.

Excellent setting amongst the trees with beautiful scenic views out to the rainforest and valleys from the balcony. Staff very friendly and the shared kitchen area is well equipped! Rooms very comfortable and even though the bathrooms are all shared, there is plenty of them so you are not left waiting and they are cleaned to a high standard.

Nothing
We did not stay at this property. When we arrived and saw what the place looked like we felt that it was totally misrepresented in the photos online. Entry was via a narrow and dark back lane. The only bathroom that was featured in the pictures was an ensuite. There was no photo of the shared toilet facilities, which we felt we would have been extremely uncomfortable with. Both my wife and I have medical issues which would have made this even worse.
WE WERE REFUSED A REFUND EVEN THOUGH WE HAD MADE THE BOOKING MAYBE HALF HOUR EARLER AND COULD HAVE RESERVED RATHER THAN PAID UPFRONT BECAUSE THE PICTURES DID NOT MATCH THE REALITY.

We loved the quaint and quirky guesthouse. The gardens were beautifully well kept and we loved the many beautiful spots to sit and admire the gardeners hard work.
We would have loved more time to explore the library, yoga room and surrounds. It’s definitely a place we’d visit again. So easy too, with its location to eateries etc
We would certainly recommend it to others.
Unfortunately our stay wasn’t long enough to have any complaints. It suited our needs perfectly.

Amazing building in the best location you can imagine, comfortable room and lovely common areas- an opportunity to meet people from all around, in the heart of this magical town.

Location was handy to Main Street. Parking was a bit difficult.
Shared bathroom was not very clean. Mould on walls and ceiling.

Beautiful large verandah at rear of property
Noise travelling through from bathroom and other rooms, guests coming and going thru the night and talking in foyer.

Noisy pub next door but suddenly became quiet at 11pm

Beautiful view, convenient location, clean amenities.
Awkward atmosphere in shared spaces, tiny rooms and uncomfortable beds. Wouldn't stay here again.

Good for a simple stay, close to the local nightlife, clean bedrooms and shared bathrooms, helpful staff who assisted our check-in past 6pm, and useful shared kitchen area with fridge!

Location grand. Nice to talk to international travellers at breakfast.

Location was fantastic though initially it was a little difficult to find. The deck area was spacious and the outlook from there amazing
No where in the bathrooms to put your things - in 2 showers it was the floor and in the other on the toilet. I was in the room across from the garage and it was a nice early noisy start. The room was also super hot but you couldn't leave the curtains open at night due to the street light right outside. Was asked by the people in the next room to take the map off the wall as with the fan on it kept banging against the wall

I just keep coming back. Love the proper shared bathroom with toilet instead of dorm style.

the guesthouse has beautiful decked areas with an incredible view and it’s only five minute walk to the river.
the position is very central but the pub is next door. really loud music until late and a lot of noise. Our room was super hot even with teo fans on

location is great. can travel easily to most places. beautiful little town.
No air conditioner, it was very hot, even though we were given an extra fan on the second night, it really did not help.

The vibe was friendly and so were the staff. it was clean and breezy and right in town. It had a magnificent outlook onto trees and the river.
The part I found very challenging relates to my disability. When I made the booking it said the entire bottom floor was wheelchair accessible. it wasn’t. It could have been if I’d asked them to move large couches around, but that’s not what accessible means to me.
Also, being placed in the accessible room on the ground floor meant that it was directly opposite a noisy mechanic’s shop. Unfortunately, noise really aggravates my disability. I compromised by hanging out on the couch on the verandah, but what I needed was actually quiet darkness, which was kinda funny because when night fell the street lights came through the curtains and guests were in and out of their car right at my window well past 10.30pm.
When I realised I was having an issue with the noise I approached a staff member, who was very friendly, but didn’t know how to help. In hindsight I would have been so grateful for them to offer to have booked me accommodation elsewhere - a task I was not capable of at that time due to my disability being so aggravated by the noise.
I’m not trying to go full Karen on these lovely people. I might stay there again, at a pinch. I just wrote this to let you know if you have a disability, call them first before you book and ask specific questions, which admittedly I should have done. Just keep in mind when the lovely hosts are responding, I don’t think they have as much of an idea about disability as they do about other diversity needs. THEY ARE LOVELY HOSTS, THOUGH. AND MEAN VERY WELL.
