Zero attention to detail and may have been a self service stay,mostly super unimpressed

Beautiful looking property the outside did not match the inside.

Welcome was average we found our own way to our room which smelt terrible.Toxic synthetic room spray. All water ran out of bath as plug does not seal. Food ordered was not up to standard or as described on menu.insect in salad,we went to bed hungry. There were no staff available at check out so we let ourselves out.no breakfast available as staff did not answer phone. Dismally disappointed will not stay there again.service gets 1star,no idea how you are rated 4star.

My stay was excellent

I came from Eastern Cape to attend my graduation, I requested an earlier than normal time check in, they agreed. When I arrived around 11am all the rooms were ready. The reception I received from Thatho was out of this world. The rooms were perfectly neat, big and spacious. The bathroom was big and clean, hot shower water. The atmosphere woooow,

It was a pleasant stay. It’s a beautiful place, but a hotel would have suited me better.

It’s a beautiful place, very charming

I feel like it’s a bit in a distant dark spot to arrive at night time, very far to walk with baggage from car to reception and then to the room. For the price I would’ve booked a hotel instead.

Perfect stay in a perfect room.

Beautiful venue. Rooms spacious; heated floors; Wi-Fi fast, staff quick and friendly. Perfect stay.

The parking was a bit far from our room but I only felt the distance because I’m on crutches.

Nice for that shirt drive out of town for a short staycation. The grounds are pretty.. Hospitality can be improved.

the aesthetics. the buildings and garden are appealing.

I was initially checked into a room that didn’t look like the picture when I booked. it looked smaller. When I asked to be moved one of the staff members asked if I had touched anything in the room yet - implying I’d I did I wasn’t going to be moved I had. That was unnecessary.. because even if I had sat on the bed before asking to move.. they could always “freshen it up” again. Also to bath tub in the new wasn’t that clean.

The break fast was okay, tomato size was too big . I didn't understand why that big cut.

a better facilities as advertised with all relevant finishes ,DSTV recorder was not even working.Electric blanket nit working, electrical multi plug on the wall , SANS10123 of electrical wiring not met

It felt like it was far from the society and everyday life.

Just communication that there would be noise due to an event taking place on the property.

Disappointing

The carpet was dirty and caused the room to be stuffy. Housekeeping knocked just after 8:30am. A lot of maintenance work was taking place early in the morning - grass cutting, flushing of gutters which resulted in a lot of noise.

Franschoek feel in Irene

The beautiful gardens, dinner was delicious, the excellent customer service, we got from reception up until the restaurant was amazing. The aesthetics of the place is georgous. I was pleasantly surprised.

The room we were in had dampness on the wall making it stuffy and had some mould in the shower.

The location is beautifully secluded. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The landscape is beautiful with well manicured lawns.

Its location, type of setting and the executive rooms were quite nice, river , natural settjngs around it. Power back up excellent

We checked in at 16:00 and they had a function with loud music until 23:00 Never again! Waste my money as we traveled far with no rest.
