Prima plek om natuurgebied boven Matagalpa te verkennen

Nette ruime kamer, goed bed. Als je de koffieplantages of het woud wil bezoeken is dit een goede uitvalsbasis. Er wordt een eenvoudig ontbijt van pannenkoeken met fruit geserveerd. Dit zit niet bij de prijs in. Er worden in het hotel wat unieke lokale producten verkocht uit de omgeving van Matagalpa om de lokale bevolking te ondersteunen. Er is warm water in de douche. Dit is niet overal gebruikelijk in Nicaragua.

De inrichting/ indeling is beneden wat rommelig. De z.g winkelruimte zou beter een lounge ruimte kunnen worden. De verkoop van lokale dingen kan dan naar de receptie balie en de boekenkast naar de lounge ruimte. De ruimte bij de keuken kan dan echt als een eetruimte worden gebruikt. Daar staat nu een tafel met daar tegenaan gepropt een bankstel. Er is geen privé parkeergelegenheid.

El hostal estaba muy bien situado, cerca de la catedral y de varios bares y restaurantes. El personal es súper amable, te ayudan con todo. Incluso tiene una tiendita para comprar artesanía típica de nicaragua

Great stay

Loved the proximity to downtown and other businesses. The room was quiet, comfortable and staff was very friendly. We felt that instructions were good and very clear. Staff even let us store a few things in the shared common area, which we had not noticed or probably overlooked.

We just walked out!

From the outside it doesn’t look too bad

This hostel is nothing like the photos.We booked a double room.It had no windows (we were told none of the rooms do. There are no locks on the doors to the room.You are supposed to put valuables in a locker at reception.The hostel is grubby, crowded with junk and generally not nice. After 5 minutes in our prison cell of a room we just walked out.We are not fussy or high maintenance people but this was poor

As above. They need to fix hole in that kitchen ceiling for health's sake

I liked the area and nice lady running the hostel.

Unfortunately I can't give my experience here any higher as the rat incident in the kitchen ruined my stay here.

Great place to stay in Matagalpa

Nice and spacious rooms with good hot shower. Very. clean.

Rooms facing the street are very noisy all night (bring earplugs)

Very Good!

Good dorm, huge bathrooom and lockers. Everything was clean. Good kitchen. Very friendly family that gave us good recommendations and furthermore always tried to help us as much as they could. We enjoyed our stay there a lot!!

Cute hostel in Matagalpa

Location is very great, in the middle of the city center. Liked, that they were very helpful with giving recommendations, helping with reservations, sharing information regarding the city and places to go, etc. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed that it was a little fresher during nights, compared to León, Granada, etc. Really enjoyed the platform, where I did yoga twice :) Also there is enough space (balcony and terrace) to just relax or get some stuff done.

It is a little bit strange to share the kitchen with the owner and that there are seperated using areas. Makes it not that comfortable preparing his own food if you are not sure what you are allowed to use.

Superb

Big dorm room, huge bathroom and basically a closet for the lockers. Very nice owners and felt like staying at home almost, even if just for one day. Also checked in at 8 am, skipped the night in Leon cuz the heat was unbearable and they were gentle enough to accept my request for early check in!

Wifi signal couldn't reach everywhere

The place is very nice and spacious

The staff was unfriendly, and behaved as if they were doing me a huge favor every time I asked for something. As a backpacker you don’t really have other choices in Matagalpa, and they clearly take advantage of that with their service and attitude.

Nice stay in Matagalpa

Nice stay in Matagalpa, central location, big comfortable beds. The lady did not speak a lot of English, but we managed with some basic Spanish skills.

We had some problems, for two nights we did not have any water in our room. Seemed to be a problem in the whole city of Matagalpa, and they gave us a big bucket of rain water to clean ourselves. Needed to pay extra when paying with credit card which is not mentioned on booking.com (but because of the water problems, we did not have to pay the extra fee, thank you!)

Great location, super friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, nice rooms.

Wifi was spotty at times, but definitely not a big deal and I think typical for the area.

Well worth the money!

Incredible place! Clean, large private rooms with king size comfortable bed. Lots of places to sit and socialize, or quietly read. Very central location - easy to walk to the market and restaurants.

You need to be lucky with the rooms

Spacious rooms, clean, friendly staff and good location, with restaurants and cafes around the corner.

Breakfast included is average. We had 2 different rooms during our 2 separate stays. The first room was perfect, the second one was noisy due to the street and the smoke from the people smoking on the terrasse constantly entered the room - really depends on the room you get.

Stijn was kind and helpful with our travel plans. The room was spacious, clean and the linen very crisp and fresh :)! A plus is the hot shower. I can recommend this place.
