Perfect.. Best place to stay in Paignton!

A great guest house... attention to detail, friendly, super clean, modern with sympathetic attention to original features... Room was great and ideal for family - as it was two adjoining rooms (not a large room with lots of beds) Bathroom was small, but perfect. Great shower! I can't fault the Devon House Guest House.

Had a lovely break just me and the kids. Guesthouse very clean, central to all facilities yet in a quiet area. Carl, the owner, extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Lovely owners who are always looking to point you in the right direction and keen to see what you had been up to that day made my daughter feel really happy. The room was really nice well decorated and clean, the beds were comfy as can be and the shower had plenty of pressure and heat. Easy access to the sea front and pier

Perfect Guesthouse in a beautiful area

Very close to the pier for the children and there is a lovely park over the road which my children also liked. The facilities are lovely. Continental breakfast was very pleasant. Overall a very good base to travel to different locations in Devon.

Unfortunately there is no free parking you do have to pay to park in the multistorey car park. Victoria is the closest at the bottom of the road. We paid about £26 for 4 day. This no fault of Devon house just a slight inconvenience.

Lovely stay in a great guesthouse.

Exceptionally clean room with everything we needed. Carl was the perfect host and gave us lots of tips about the area. If we are in Paignton again we will definitely stay here again.

Pillows a bit firm for us.

Delightful

Staff were extremely helpful, especially with the parking which was in the garage about 1 block away. Also, they let me store some items in the refrigerator in the common area.

The heat was on a bit too high at night.

had a really pleasant stay and would defo recommend it if you want to be in the heart of things but still peaceful

great location, lovely decor and very clean and welcoming

our bedroom was on the small side and lacked any surfaces to put anything. shower curtain was rather annoying as would just cling to you in the shower. the TV was tiny.

Fabulous traditional historic town house, our room was spacious, with character, everything you need for overnight, quiet and stood out from the rest of the road by a mile.

Nothing, no immediate parking but full car parking facilities 2 mins away, wasn’t an issue at all

Nice place, would love to come back.

I got a text from Carl on the way down to check my ETA which was a nice personal touch. Room was nice, and it was very clean. Bathroom was lovely. Carl was very friendly and helpful in terms of recommending places to eat. Enjoyed walking around Paignton; really nice that the park is just opposite the property.

Although really nice, the bedroom was a little bit small, especially compared to the pictures online which seemed to show bigger rooms. There was no desk to do work from which is always useful on a work trip.

Perfect for us

Karl was so helpful, the room was very comfortable and modern with plenty of space for 3 of us.

Parking on street is limited but the multistory 2 mins walk away is great.

Miserly proportioned room and fitout, although clean and has lovely art. Hinestly, I’d skip this town next time and go

Lovely furnishings and art. Large bathroom space and comfortable bed. Clean. Nice park across the road. very near to ocean promenade.

Booked a “King size” room. It would only fit a King size bed if you didn’t want to walk around the bed, which is why it only had a double bed in it. The room was much smaller than anticipated and did not have a view, so felt claustrophobic. The television is actually the size of a laptop and made us laugh. The tea cupboard, sink, and shower are all a bit small which made things less comfortable. We were freezing as the heater is on a timer and turns itself off at 12pm.

Great last minute short break.

This was one of the cleanest and brightest B&Bs we have stayed in. The continental breakfast was excellent with a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, croissants and fresh toast and marmalade. There was a wide choice of teas, coffee and chocolate in the room. Of note, there was a jug to fill the kettle, very useful when taps have little room to put a kettle under!! Our hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming. Great value, it is the small things that make a difference. We will stay again if in the area. Many thanks.

Lovely clean room, lots of tea making packs

The shower, we couldn’t bend the head. We had to take it off to use it. If you wanted your room cleaned , you had to let them know. It wasn’t done automatically.

extremely well presented and appointed greeted by Carl who was very friendly and genuinely pleased to show us to our room which was nicely decorated and absolutely spotlessly clean. politely explained house rules and was very knowledgeable regarding local places to eat and entertainment. we enjoyed our short stay and absolutely recommend.

Extremely pleased with the stay, and couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

The owners were most hospitable and lovely in accommodating my girlfriend and I on our first holiday together. They were very friendly and always offered their help for anything we needed. The breakfast was fantastically tasty — exceptional for the price. The room was more than adequately sized, the bed big enough and very comfortable, and was spotlessly clean. The property was in the perfect location in accessing the seafront and main high street within a few minutes walk, and a large multi-story car park adjacent. Overall, the most top-quality, premium guest house with the best service you could ask for. I would recommend Devon Guest House to anyone looking for a proper place to stay. Extremely satisfied, and pleased! Thank you!

Eagerly awaiting my stay next year because this year was so AWESOME!

Absolutely everything. Room was amazing, facilities were brilliant, and the hosts - Carl and Tace - were exceptional. They were absolutely on the ball with any snags we came across, and I drove home feeling that I'd made 2 new friends! The continental breakfast offered on-premises was always more than sufficient, with a range of croissants, toasties, cereals and juices available. And the on-premises breakfast is completely optional, so you're welcome to nip offsite to grab a fry-up.

Honestly, nothing to report here. This experience absolutely knocked my socks off. Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Seriously, if you can get a stay here, you won't regret it. An absolute gem.

Excellent stay, highly recommended.

Excellent new guesthouse. Near the beach and the rail (steam as well) station. Very clean. Large room. Recommend to take the breakfast, which is great and very good value. Owners are very sympathetic and helpful. They helped us a lot to have the best out of our trip with detailed information. We would not be able to enjoy our trip to Devon as much without their assistance. Loved the dogs...
