Great stay as always. We had the private dining room in the evening (group of 8) and the food was excellent, nice breakfast in the morning too. It's a fantastic property with a lots of character and lovely views overlooking the coast. The piano bar is a great touch too. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Cowes!

A bit quirky on first impressions, but very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, and great location.
Nothing. Nothing at all!!

Pleasant room and great views.
Breakfast was cooked to order.
Our room was in an annexe and we assume there were public rooms available but we weren’t invited to use them at all. Access and layout quirky.
Fine for an overnight stay.

Fascinating hallway, wonderful lounge area with generously stocked honesty bar, beautiful sea view room with fluffy white towels & bathrobes & Elemis toiletries. Great breakfast, with a view of the sea, and lovely staff (especially Jay who carried my bag upstairs!)
Nothing.

Nothing about the hotel did we like, old dated dark and dirty!!! We checked in and left after 5 minutes, definitely not worth £160.00 I wouldn’t even pay £60!!
Everything!!!

Such a privilege to stay in an historic house like this one, full of sailing history and real charm. The is a soul in this hotel that must be respected.
If modern facilities are your thing, you might struggle to find it in the IoW, so be prepared to enjoy the Rothsay for what it is: great comfort, personal character and a loving service from the owner and staff

Margaret and Jay could not do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Beautiful, clean room with an ocean view. Authentic Victorian furnishings and sailing memorabilia created a wonderful ambiance. Lovely breakfast selection but would recommend the delicious full English. Would not change one thing about this hotel.
Nothing - it was ideal.

Up graded balcony room was superb, the views spectacular, wonderful for ship watching
Superb Full English Breakfast with delicious local produce.
Car parking a little restricted when the hotel is busy

The breakfast was very good. The chef was on holiday when we were there but the mother in the family cooked for us some of the best fish and chips we've ever had. The location of the hotel was fine for us as we had a car but it is some way from the centre of Cowes. All the family were so pleasant and helpful.
it would be hard to find anything that could be better.

Lovely little place, beautiful house, very friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to help me.
Nothing - it was all great

Very welcoming. Margaret and her team were fantastic! Highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is a period building with lots of beautiful antique furnitures. Toby the property manager is super helpful. We brought a bottle of champagne and he immediately arranged for glasses and cooler be delivered.
We stayed at the top floor and the water pressure of the shower is a little low (but manageable).

We had a wonderful stay in a very nicely furnished hotel. With very nice staff and a great breakfast! We would love to come back!

No lift. But we knew this when we booked so it wasn’t surprise.
