The rooms are stylish and the bed is comfortable. The views of Megalong Valley are priceless and the atmosphere is amazing. All this followed by an excellent breakfast in the morning.
Road works outside are annoying at the moment.

absolutely nothing. one of my worst hotel experiences ever.
Do not stay here it’s not worth the price. At $589 a night I expect a clean hotel with friendly service. We booked a Garden View Room, you can see it was a view of the bins, air conditioning unit and busy highway. The rooms are dirty and so old and tired. We had a cockroach run across our bed one evening which my partner had to kill. The service is very average. I did say on our booking it was our Babymoon but no one seemed to care, it’s like everyone has just given up. The breakfast, as stated by another guest in a review below is beyond average. It’s not well thought out and is not worth $39 per person. The restaurant was the most disappointing meal of my life, most of the food I didn’t eat, but I’ll leave a separate review of that. If you are coming here to celebrate or looking for a relaxing getaway book Lilianfels which is cheaper and MUCH nicer in every way.

Excellent location with beautiful views. The staff were attentive & professional. All the furnishings were very comfortable and everywhere was perfectly clean. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and fresh.
At breakfast I would’ve liked the option of having poached eggs. The venue would benefit from additional facilities such as a pool. Being an old building there wasn’t a lift you our room level

Loved the view the rooms are a little on the small side. But the block out curtains and conformable mattress made the stay so enjoyable

Our view was beautiful
Dirty marks on the wall, several stains on the chair, the shower stall had 2 chips out of the floor & a black hair on the shower stall floor, neither my husband or I have black hair. Very dissatisfied with the table under tv, it is broken & sticky taped together, very DISSAPOINTED, I expected far better quality for our money, as it was a special occasion for us.

The friendlies and kindness of the staff. Also beautiful facilities.
In need of a paint refresh in some areas inside and outside.

Loved the atmosphere in the lounge area and reception looking out over the mountains where we sat playing cards and reading books while having drinks. Friendly staff.

Having breakfast in the same lobby as people who are trying to check out is disappointing and makes no sense. There are partial views from the lobby, but it's very dark and designed more for evening drinks. People who pay to stay at the hotel should be allowed to eat breakfast in a light bright room with a stunning view but instead that is reserved for high tea only. Having to eat breakfast in a dark and crowded room with low small tables seems like an oversight. Staff were patronising. Probably would save money and stay somewhere else as there are no real benefits of staying at this hotel unless you want high tea.

A Beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The food in the restaurant was delicious too.
No lift. Breakfast was ordinary for the standard of the hotel.

Good views
Small rooms, beds advertised as extra large double beds but they are regular double beds. Man at front desk said we had a king bed but it was just a double bed. Not much hotel exclusive access to views but the windows in the lobby. Not many options in bar facilities and buffet breakfast was lacking. Save your money and stay somewhere else!

Not much
When we got there, there was no record of our booking. Even know we had the confirmation from booking.com. The people talking to booking.com should be sacked. This was the second time.
