Location v.good Breakfast v.good Clean and friendly Proper milk to make a cuppa

Shame about the hot water for a bath or shower Needs attention. Also shower in the single bedroom needed mending. Just spoilt it for us to return.

Very friendly place where you feel at home

The Breackfast was gorgeous and really set you up for the day with plenty of option The location is easy to find and close to many walks and attraction. The room was clean and tidy.

No bar or evening food so had to go else were but there are plenty of options some within walking distance

Fantastic stay, definitely will be returning when next in the area.

Carol and her team were the most welcoming and friendly of hosts. Great location and easy to find from the main road. We enjoyed meeting their friendly, cute cat too! The view from the b&b was beautiful. Carol greeted us when we first arrived. Although it was an only a 1 night stay as were travelling back home from a holiday, we throughly enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was amazing, one of the best we’ve ever had when staying away. It was delicious and such friendly service. Great sized room with lots of character. It was clean and spacious. Loved the biscuits,mints and the fresh milk option. Honestly one of the best b&bs we have stayed in. If in the area, stay here you won’t regret it.

The bed was a little hard but more of a personal preference.

Wonderful welcoming B&B.

Carol the owner is a lovely lady, nothing is too much trouble, made me and my friend feel very welcome. The cooked breakfast was expertly cooked, and the fresh fruit WAS fresh. Bed was very comfortable, and my room (no.5) had beautiful, uninterrupted views of the distant hills. Hayfield is a 10 minute walk away, along the Sett Valley Trail which you can get down onto from the main road. I would highly recommend this place to stay.

Reasonably comfortable and well located for our needs.

Location, staff, fresh milk available for tea/coffee in rooms. Breakfast was good fresh fruit yogurt cereals and toast. Nicely cooked hot breakfast.

Decor was tired and rooms needed smartening up. Shower was a bit problematic.

Handy gem of a place for overnight stay.

Lovely scenic area. Plenty of parking space on site. Breakfast was excellent and organised by Carol the owner, seems a really well run and friendly B&B.

Comfortable little gem with great personality , very welcoming and relaxed

We were mad to feel very welcome, Carol was wonderful , the room nice and comfortable . The location is stunning , lovely garden , looking over towards kinder scout . We had the vegetarian breakfast, it was really good ,plenty of choice. All in all it is somewhere we are hoping to return to , very central too for so many activities.

Lovely!

We were welcomed by the lovely owner and made to feel at home. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a nice selection of teas and coffees etc. We were told lots of useful information about the local area.

I couldn’t really comment because we were very satisfied with our accommodation.

A warm welcome, fantastic room with beautiful views. A bed that was like sleeping on a cloud. Superb breakfast served by the best bubbliest hostess ever. If you stay you have to ask how it got its name .... it's hilarious 🤣

Exceptional

Beautiful location overlooking Kinder Scout. The bedroom was spacious and looks as it does on the photos. Loved the roll top bath. Perfect after a day hiking. Carol the host was so much fun and really welcoming.

The friendly and caring host,the views and proximity to beautiful walks, the breakfasts.......the fact nothing was too much trouble. Really made to feel welcome.

Nothing it was lovely, We just need a king-size bed next time we stay but that's my mistake not the B&Bs.

Exceptional

We were met by the owner, who was extremely friendly, and helpful. The rooms were comfortable, and warm. Carol even provided extra heaters as it was really cold. Walking distance to restaurants. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the Italian restaurant in town. Breakfast was great. Absolutely recommend staying here.

A relaxing place to take time out and wind down

we were warmly received by the owner who made us feel very welcome even though we turned up a little early for check in

we loved the quietness and peace although it was only a short walk into Hayfield and some lovely places to eat and drink. Breakfast was exceptional. all freshly cooked and plenty of it too.

Perfect if you’re looking for a comfortable homely base to explore the area.

comfortable spacious room, fabulous views over kinder scout, perfect location for exploring this part of Derbyshire. The fabulous Carol and her crew made us feel welcome and at home, additional touches like the availability of fresh milk each day made a real difference. Carol is a fountain of knowledge about the local area.

Nothing about the property but didn’t like pulling out onto the road mostly because cars went so fast along it and poor visibility.

Lovely b&b in the beautiful country side with nice food and lovely staff.

Views from the room, size of bed and room, breakfast was tasty, staff were friendly.

The hostess was exceptional. She couldn't have been more welcoming or accommodating. The cooked breakfast was delicious.

The only thing that wasn't perfect was the water pressure of the shower. Living in Cyprus I am used to very highly pressured showers.
