Friendly staff, spacious clean rooms, centre of Clonakility

Lovely traditional historic hotel centre in the heart of clonakility. upon arrival we were very early, but were checked in by a lovely woman and given our key, so we went to lunch near by and then the room was ready on time. very clean, staff extremely friendly and its what i expect from an Irish owned hotel not a franchise so well done to all working there.

Felt a bit institutional. We were told to say we were residents when we came down for breakfast. People who walked in for breakfast were free to move around but 'residents' were instructed to wait and be served. We stayed Friday night and Saturday morning was very busy but they didn't seem to have sufficient numbers of staff.

Left at bar with no drink while the bar man went over to a table and had he's dinner, room was very dated and shower was bad, doors banging all day that could be heard from room

A wonderful hotel. I hope it never changes.

This hotel is full of character and history. It is comfortable without being pretentious . It is a family business with the family members having a hands on approach to the running of the hotel. It isn’t only in the community but clearly an integral part of it. Great trad music session. The staff are all down to earth and genuinely friendly( not just hospitality training course speak!)

The hotel car park is very small but the adjacent public car park is not as restrictive as it may seem at first sight. The cycle storage facility is a bit cluttered with nearly all of the space being taken up the community cycles
