Excellent
The room and facilities
5.0 / 5.0
The room was stunning, like stepping into history. Bed was very comfortable, I had a good night's sleep. Donatella and Rafaelle are very welcoming - they clearly take their hosting very seriously, and showed me true Italian hospitality. The breakfast is amazing - homemade baked goods on top of everything you would usually expect - there was so much food out for just me, I wish I could have stayed longer for more. The setting for breakfast outside in the garden was perfect in the warm weather.
The residence is only 5 minutes/8 euros in a taxi from Chiusi station. Chiusi itself is a charming little hilltop town with spectacular views and worth visiting, especially convenient if travelling between Rome and Florence.
Next time I am in Tuscany I will not think twice about staying here again.
There was nothing I didn't like!

ONE OF A KIND HOSTS IN JEWEL OF A GUEST
The hospitality and kindness of Donatella and Raphael has no limit. Every need of guests are handled with ease, special requests quickly satisfied. All of it comes so naturally to these consummate hosts. A ride to the train station, suggestion for a wine tour, a recommendation for a special restaurant made our stay a memorable experience. These are truly beautiful people who provide a memories not just a room for sleeping. Five star service!
The historic guest house is as special as are the hosts. Every sleeping room, the lobby, sitting and breakfast rooms are appointed with wonderfully presented antiques. Bistro tables in the garden are an outdoor alternative for enjoying Donatella’s breakfast pastries prepared daily. A trained pastry chef her delights call for second helpings. Walking in the gardens cause guests to decompress. This is a peaceful and unrushed retreat located within steps of Chiusi’s primary attractions.
If planning on overnighting in Chiusi do not miss the very special Resedenza Dei Ricci. We have committed to return next year.

Not worth the high price.
Breakfast not as rich as the comments led me to believe.

What a gem of a find. I was traveling randomly through Tuscany along with my spouse and we stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to spend the night. The accommodation looks exactly like in the photos. Any of the rooms offer this aristocratic and authentic vibe. It's located close to the quaint city center and parking is available within the generous garden. I'm going to forever remember the homemade lemon cake I served in the garden during breakfast, almost made me cry. Mrs. Donetella is a true master pastry chef.

The B&B is in a beautiful building with a lovely garden and seating area.

Our stay at Residenza Dei Ricci was absolutely phenomenal. The rooms and grounds are lovely, comfortable, and clean. The owners are kind, helpful, and accommodating (and their three dogs are friendly as well!). Breakfast included some of the finest pastry that we have ever tasted – easily on par with the best hotels in Europe’s larger cities. Guaranteed access to private parking is a major perk. If we return to Chiusi, this B&B will be at the top of our list for accommodation. Highly recommended.

The breakfast included homemade pastries and a great assortment of breakfast items. Rooms were very authentic and comfortable. The host was awsome. And location was great.
This really a bed and breakfast. I definitely liked the feel but some may be expecting more of a hotel based on the website.

It was simply beautiful!
Nothing really.

Breakfast very fine. The place is both elegant and comfortable. It is located in the most interesting part of Chuisi which otherwise a very ordinary town. There are two museums with in a short walk, other historic buildings, and very good slow food restaurants.
I liked all of it, but not appropriate for anyone who has trouble with stairs.

The owners, Donatella and Rafaelle, were incredible hosts! So helpful and generous. The gardens are a beautiful place to enjoy your breakfast (including handmade pastries by Donatella!) and just relax. The palazzo is beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. I can't wait to stay with them again!
Nothing. Everything was spectacular.

Excellent location, in the middle of small beautiful city. Finally not so crowded with tourists, where people greet each other on the street. Great hospitality, everything for the guests convenience like mini bar with cold drinks, jakuzzi and sunbeds in the garden.. Both Raffaele's and Donatella's kindness and helpfulness. Donatella's cakes in Toscan style at the breakfast, we simply could not resist tasting all of them. Feeling like nobles in the green room. All details were in place. Surprisingly there is a lot to see in Chiusi, they even provide a great map for discovery.
Everything was perfect. The owners do not speak English very well but it just made it even more enjoyable.

The decor, owners, breakfast, a special wine tasting dinner in the garden, the hammocks in the garden, the location, the free parking, the amenities in the room, the comfortable bed and spacious room, the well stocked bathroom, the charming town with a fascinating history.

I'm not in the habit of posting glowing reviews, but our stay at Residenza Dei Ricci was the best accommodation experience of our entire trip to Europe. The hosts, Donatella (quite a cook!) and Rafael, could not have been more welcoming, gracious and accommodating. When I think of them, I break out in a smile. Our room, with its spectacular 'zodiac' ceiling of the planets, made us feel as if we were living in a palace. On our arrival we were greeted with glasses of Prosecco and bites to eat. Breakfast was delicious and filling. And a 5 minute walk away is the town's piazza and two exceptional restaurants. For anyone, who, as we did, will be experiencing a long flight to Italy and in need of a restful place before beginning your exploration of Tuscany, Residenza Dei Ricci is the ticket.
I'm at a loss to offer any constructive suggestions, let alone criticism. OK, the town's bell tower is nearby and strikes every hour until midnight. Just rack it up to the 'charm' of Tuscany.

The owners, Donatella and Raffaele were excellent hosts. Super nice and cheerful.
They told us the house history and it was amazing. Historical decor was so beautiful.
And she is Patissiere, so the morning delights were fantastic.

This historical B&B is in ancient Chiusi. The owners bent over backwards
to make us feel comfortable and share the amazing history of their home. They recommended a restaurant Zuppa that was the best we’ve experienced on our trip so far. The King-sized bed was very comfortable and the shower accommodating. Excellent, excellent!

Period residence, with really nice ceiling frescos original from the 1700, rooms filled with antiques. Breakfast served in spacious garden. Parking available in the property, a real asset in the most central part of the medieval town, near the best restaurants. Friendly staff will do everything to please you.
Nothing really.

Residenza Dei Ricci is a beautiful old palace right in the middle of Chiusi. The owners, Donatella and Raffaele, are wonderful, full of information about the palace's history, Chiusi and the area. The conversations we had with them were a delight. It is not like staying in a B&B but being invited kindly into a family home. Every room has its own character and history, even the furniture. The breakfasts are delicious, every morning there is a new cake, pastry or something special made by Donatella, in addition there are tomatoes, figs and even a greeting of roses from the garden. The garden is huge, leafy and a lovely retreat on a warm afternoon. There is also a large living room at the guests' disposal. Chiusi itself is small, friendly, with stunning views and a perfect location for exploring the whole area. There are quite a few parking spaces around the centre, if one rents a car, and the station in Chiusi Scalo is on the main train line from Rome and well connected to smaller towns as well. We were sad that we only had two days and will try to come back for longer.
Nothing, it was all perfect.
