Good

No breakfast option available. No coffee or milk in the room and only one biscuit was available even though two people booked. Toilet needed to be cleaned again as soon as we got there as there were stains present from the previous occupancies.

Good value accomodation

Ease of booking, & quick at responding to requests. Nice spacious room, with tea making facilities within room and although bathroom was a shared one - it was spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds. Staff were welcoming, and friendly - would stay again :-)

Don't stay here unless you want to party all night

Chair bed for my grown up son, shared bathroom, bad language from rowdy people down stairs.not what we expected and very over priced.

Perfect location, nice comfy bed and great facilities

Central location lovely pub and beautifully decorated upstairs where the rooms are. Modern kitchen and bathroom with lounge. Really quiet and pretty.

The two days stay we’re fine other than above

Clean and spacious , bed was comfortable, minimal noise.

When we arrived the staff couldn’t find our room key. When she eventually showed us the room someone else’s things were being stored in the room which was uncomfortable because we could now see where the other key was. This was eventually resolved but one hour after commencing our stay.

Really good, had a fantastic night the staff were amazing and so friendly I felt comfortable there would be definitely c

How it had a bar downstairs, shower was amazing and room was very nice and clean.

Good in parts. Private bathroom was along corridor

No food on site!

Access via an unlit fire escape on to unlit patio. Motion activated lights that came on after you navigated the challenging parts. Treacherous in wet weather.

Staff very helpful. Location good.

Room was a good size and bed very comfortable.

Bathroom was short of a shelf to put toiletries on. Also nowhere to put damp towels to spread so they could dry.

Exceptional

Very good location for a wedding I attended in the castle, room was spotless and all of the girls who greeted us on our arrival were so helpful and polite. Really lovely stay.

The room was a lovely surprise as was the shower and bath.

Loved the location, the room and the staff.

A little disappointed there was no breakfast but I understand this will be back.

Well worth it

The room was excellent large room and bed with a bath I could swim in.

Not a lot. But one side of the bed a bit uncomfortable but I was on the otherside. No food in the pub,but that is being addressed.

The Staff were fantastic and were always on hand to help. The Premises are very clean and very up to date and fresh.

As much as we were aware the property was above a pub our room was right above the toilets and the door was banging shut all night and the hand dryer was constant off and on.

A quirky, clean and comfortable property that is a short walk from all you need.

We received a really warm welcome. It makes such a huge difference and she was marvellous. My mum loved the eccentric bath in her room which she made use of. All in all, a quirky, yet supremely comfortable stay.

Very good

The room was lovely when eventually got the room we’d booked. The location was perfect.

It appears Booking.com hasn’t been updated with 1) correct opening times 2) that this hotel is not doing breakfast at present due to COVID restrictions. We were placed in the incorrect room initially but it got sorted eventually. Quite a strange set up as there’s no one at the premises once the pub shuts. The contact number for any emergencies is the pub phone number which no one answers.
