Fantastic

Exceptional location by the coastline and very atmospheric and peaceful and histirically interesting property. Ruth was lovely.

Very pleasant and an interesting old house full of history

We had a very comfortable room, our bathroom wasn’t the best as in no shower but a very clean and roomy bathroom, the breakfast was very good and the proprietor very friendly and welcoming

The only thing we didn’t like was the lack of a shower, there was a hand held shower in the bath but no shower curtain which made it hard to use as we didn’t want to get water all over the floor

We had a very enjoyable stay and would return in the future.

The location, property and history was amazing, the hosts tried really hard to make us welcome and comfortable which we greatly appreciated. The choice and quality of the breakfasts were great. Great coastal walks and places to eat.

The internet was inconveniently only available in the main public area.

Like staying in a National Trust property.

The house is absolutely stunning, the hosts are lovely, the breakfasts are enough to keep you going all day, and the sea views are beautiful.

Great weekend in a beautiful old house

Wonderful house with lots of history. The owners are incredibly helpful and determined to make sure that your stay is perfect. This is a must for people with interest in history and literature.

Wi-Fi is only available in the communal areas.

Outstanding experience

Location, garden, view all excellent. The staff were wonderful so friendly and helpful. I'm so going to miss breakfast tomorrow.

Wi-Fi wasn't great in the bedroom but honestly I didn't care. They told you where it was good and that's where I used it.

Our stay in this comfortable, relaxing, country house retreat so close to the sea was a real treat

Country house, coastal location. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Large room with sea view. Nearby coves, botanical gardens and park. Breakfast selection, freshly prepared. Hospitality of the hosts. We would recommend Lisle Combe to family and friends.

The age and original character of this property brings a lot of charm and some limitations. The hosts make guests aware of these in their accommodation overview, so no surprises.

A traditional home with a perfect location.

Lovely location with extensive grounds. Very welcoming hosts. A proper historic house with lots of books to read, and the history of author and poet Alfred Noyes was very interesting. Very good breakfasts served, and Ruth was really helpful about places to visit on the island.

Nothing really. It's an old house so don't expect super-modern facilities. We had no problems staying in a home of real character, although the red squirrels absented thesmselves during out 6 day visit!

Made our Isle of Whight challenge a truly memorable and enjoyable weekend.

The owners were so helpful and the breakfast was lovely. The view from our window was fabulous and the history of the place was a joy.

I really like a feather pillow however realise most bnbs don’t have these so, as much as I would have liked one,this did not spoil my stay 😃

Short stay in the Isle of Wight

This was an interesting place to stay in the Isle of Wight rather than your bulk standard accommodation. The host Ruth was friendly and welcoming. It was a good base for our travels around the island.
