Wonderful overnight stay.

We arrived early yet received a warm welcome, the room was ready. The room was clean with ensuite shower/toilet both clean. We were offered dinner which is not a menu as such but we had a wonderful relaxed meal with the other guests. The hotel is charming yet with modern facilities. The breakfast was continental but very varied. The host speaks French and good English. We would certainly stay here again when we return to that area.

Everything, location, owners, accomodation. Beatiful garden. This is bed & breakfast, type of accomodation, but owners managed to serve us a diner twice. Dinners were cooked with fresh ingredients from owners garden. Big hug for owners from Kiev and Moscow...

Perfect place to explore Cathar country

Lovely location, very pretty buildings and courtyard. Had large comfortable room, very clean. Booked dinner which was excellent 4-course meal, much of it home produced or locally sourced. Very good breakfast. Very pleasant and helpful hostess.

Great, relaxing stay

This is a true gem of hospitality. The hosts are extraordinarily welcoming and caring. Our room was immaculate, the bathroom had great products with a super comfortable shower and we felt very good here. Breakfast is also great, there is lots of parking space and a very nice courtyard to drink a coffee or water. We will definitely return when we are in the area again. Also, the hosts gave us great tips of what to do in the area.

A hidden gem in the Languedoc.

The location was excellent as a base to explore the region; particularly the Cathar castles. The proprietors, Lucy and Slav, could not have been more welcoming, hospitable and kind; ensuring we had everything we needed and explaining the best way in which to visit the area. The evening meals were a real treat as Lucy is an excellent cook and they were amongst the best dishes we have ever enjoyed in France.

A great location in the heart of the Cathar country

The owners worked very hard to give their guests, a good experience and food for the dinner and breakfast were exceptional. The room however, was a bit basic for €100 per night and while comfortable could use a makeover.

overall, this was a good experience, so I do not have any strong dislikes

A beautiful experience

The Relais de Laval is set in a restored winery, with ample rooms and a lovely atmosphere. The owners are excellent hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. The dinner and breakfast were very good.

Single night stay on a motorcycle trip. Perfect place to stay while travelling on the TransEuroTrail

Very friendly hosts. Site is very quiet and charming. Lots of choice for breakfast. Location is perfect for a stop on the TransEuroTrail.

Amazing!

The place was amazing in a small village. Room was great for us (+2 kids) and private parking. Food was delicious and Lucy made us feel at home. Be sure to try the diner and the Velotrain in Axat 😀

Fantastic stay

Such lovely owners, the place was extremely well run, the food was delicious (definitely stay for dinner) and the location is beautiful.

I liked everything, no comments on any improvements.

Exceptional

Delicious Dinner. We all agreed that we have not had such a fabulous food in a very long time. Lucy cooked for us taking into account our special wishes and food allergies. Awesome place to rest and do hiking.

Very good

Our room was very comfortable on the ground floor with an outside table and chairs in the courtyard. Location was great for visiting the Cathar castles nearby. Our host was very friendly and welcoming.

It is on a main road but it wasn’t a problem and all the rooms are inner-facing. The advantage of the road is it was easy to get there and no complex navigation at night.

A wonderful place to stay in a stunning area.

Everything! Warm and welcoming hosts, comfortable, beautifully furnished room, amazing dinner and the best homemade croissants in France for breakfast.

Very comfortable quiet place to stay with lovely hosts.

The property is in a small village in lovely countryside. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had lots of variety of shampoo, shower gel etc. It felt very homely. There is plenty of private off-road parking. Evening meal served under the trees in the courtyard was lovely, a good way to meet other travellers. Breakfast selection was good. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, practical and warm.

I am already thinking about when I should go back!

most charming refurbishing of an old farm but the “human factor” was the best with hosts that were so inviting and hospitable!

sometimes a bit of street noise from passing traffic. they’d better introduce a speed limit of 30 kph to some point beyond the builded up area

Excellent chambre d'hôte

The breakfast was excellent. The dinner was also excellent, if slightly on the pricy side for the area.

Nothing really - it was probably more than I should be budgeting for on a walking holiday in the Pyrenees as a solo traveller but would be ideal for a couple.

The hosts are very welcoming, showed the animals to our kids and let them feed them. Dinner was only with fresh local food and there is a nice selection of local wines.

The best overnight stay we have ever stayed in.

The Hosts were the best you could want. Food was so so good.

Not really problem normally but no air conditioning on a very hot evening. It was there but didn't work.
