Good hosts.
Ideal location for exploring Exmoor.
Comfortable room.
Room would benefit from king size bed.
Breakfast would benefit from the addition of fresh fruit and yoghurt.
4.5
I didn't have chance to stay for breakfast but the room was excellent and the hotel was close to everywhere.

The couple who owned Town Mills were wonderful! Allison & Charles were very helpful with ideas on touring Exmoor and the surrounding area. We would highly recommend Town Mills and we loved the town of Dulverton.

Almost everything was perfect. Charlie gave us the best recommendation for dinner. The Woods.
Breakfast prepared by Allison extra yummy.
Disappointed with the shower

Alison was an exceptional host. She gave us lots of great suggestions for local walks, meals out, and cooked a superb breakfast each morning. Town Mills is perfectly located to explore Dulverton and Exmoor either on foot or further afield by car. We would stay there again.

Alison and Charles were very welcoming (and Rufus) and the breakfast was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, although the decor may not be to everyone's taste. I would have no problem staying at Town Mills again
The only issue was the water pressure in the shower, but that is not uncommon in older properties

We loved our stay at Exmoor. Peaceful location, friendly hosts and perfect breakfast.
4.5
Excellent and freshly cooked.
Everything was very good

Fresh cooked breakfast, ideal position of B+B for the town. Private parking place.
None, but my Wife laughed, im am longer than the bed, so my feet stuck out

Alison and Charles were utterly charming hosts. We warmed to them immediately and they were very welcoming. We are looking forward to revisiting. The property was clean and bright and with a few homely touches. We loved it and we were sad to be leaving after only a 2 night trip. Our trip to Dulverton was to meet up with our friends on the nearby motor home/caravan site which was also very well run. The noticeable thing for us was the quietness in the night time. The location of Town Mills was perfect. Eateries and pubs all within easy walking distance. The breakfast choice was great and cooked to perfection. We especially liked the ambience, charm and tranquility about the place. Charles was interesting and very helpful and we liked him instantly.
It’s difficult to find any dislikes but I guess one thing perhaps the shower in our room could have been bigger but for 2 nights it was no deal breaker.

Bed a trifle hard

Fab location. Charles and Alison (and Rufus) were great hosts and so friendly.

Fantastic hosts who really went the extra mile and seem to actually enjoy being in the business

Great location

The smoked salmon and scrambled egg was excellent but would have liked fresh fruits and natural yogurt to have been on offer. We particularly liked the port in our room. Excellent location for country walks and access to the town. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful.
We thought we had booked a room with a bath but unfortunately this was not the case.
4.5
All very good, freshly cooked breakfast, our rooms were very comfortable, it was lovely to have a lounge and bedroom, with our own ‘front door’. Easy access into the village centre. Friendly helpful hosts.
Nothing to do with the B&B, but finding somewhere for evening meals wasn’t easy. The only places serving regularly were over subscribed . Others not open when they indicated they would be.
4.5
Accommodation was extremely comfortable and very quaint! Breakfast excellent and hosts were very charming and extremely friendly

Breakfast was a bit weird, felt like unwelcome guests - the door is open to the kitchen and when the orders were relayed you could hear the conversations and it felt like we were massively imposing asking for slight changes to the breakfast eg eggs not too runny ‘SHE ASKED FOR WHAT?!’ - despite paying £120 a night! My girlfriend found a hair in her food and didn’t finish it, and got scolded for not finishing the food having asked for changes - we just didn’t want to have the conversation about.
Wouldn’t stay again, very pricey for what it was, accommodation was average, the breakfast environment was really poor. Stayed in a holiday inn the following night for £35, felt the staff were friendlier and room was better.
If you can stay somewhere else, I’d recommend it.

A fabulous place with harming and friendly owners.
Nothing.

Friendly hosts. Breakfast excellent. Light and airy. Easy access to local shops and restaurants.
Parking spaces too small and congested.

Lovely guest house in a converted old mill in a great location. Owners were so friendly and welcoming, even letting me use the dining room in the day to do some work as wifi was better there and I needed to do some video calls. Extra bonus is there is a fast EV charger just next door, great for quick charging our electric car.
Wasn't particularly cheap but you get what you pay for and was worth it.
4.5
Excellent breakfast. Interesting host. Clear arrangements.
Decor a bit lack-lustre generally ( according to my wife).
4.5
Town Mills is located in a convenient, central location of Dulverton and in a peaceful area.
Overall, we had an excellent stay. Breakfast was most delicious and cooked to perfection.
Charles and Alison were very welcoming and helpful with giving good recommendations with places to visit and eat.
Thoroughly recommended.
4.5
Everything was excellent - warm welcome and facilities better than expected. Very hot weather but we were able to open all the windows and were supplied with bottles of cold water and access to a guests fridge.
4.5
Good location and comfortable faciilities. Beautiful garden too. Parking adequate.
