We loved the location ,beautiful countryside. Couldn't fault the accommodation, staff very professional, would have a laugh with you. Food was great, took friends for evening meal, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Will certainly go back.
There was nothing we didn't like except maybe ,as I use 2 crutches a lift would have been nice, it didn't stop us having a lovely time.

Lovely little country village b&b
Mattress a little too springy for me

Everything was wonderful lovely friendly staff x food was to die for
This was a lovely place to stay the only one nit pick would be the shower was freezing in the morning but everything else made the stay amazing so it was a minor

Brian was a fantastic host and very knowledgeable about the area. Gave us all a great welcome! Passionate about his local ales and ciders - kindly gave tasters to help decide which pint to go for. Room was very comfortable and very clean. Had everything in our room which we needed. Dinner was good - portions could be slightly bigger though. Breakfast was really good - lots of cereals/pastries to choose from. The hot Full English was beautifully cooked and the sausages & bacon were fantastic.
The only criticism I have is that the carpet in our room had a lot of dog hair/fluff which transferred to our clothes. It's not detectable just by looking - it was only when changing into clothes that we noticed a lot of hair had transferred on to them.

On arrival the host was most welcoming carrying our luggage, pointing out where breakfast would be also general and historical information regarding the premises and village. Breakfast was excellent the choices were as good as a 5 star hotel including which type of eggs were available. I had duck eggs and at 75 years old was a first experience for me. My husband and I travel frequently and I usually have to remake the bed as I do not like creases in the sheets and the bed was made immaculately and I took great pleasure in not to have to remake the bed.
THE WEATHER being in the countryside the lanes had a lot of large puddles.

What a wonderful Inn, a great part of the community run by lovely and well informed people. It was an absolute pleasure to stay. Great food and drinks. Highly recommended as a base for day trips when in the area.

The location is great , really quiet. The room was good for a overnight stay , the meals were excellent, the slow roasted belly pork at dinner was really tasty & the breakfast was good , lots of choice.

The staff were lovely, dinner menu had a very good selection and good value for money. The wine by the glass was lovely. We stayed in the family room which was spacious and very clean and had very good beds. Breakfast had many choices and was cooked perfectly. Free parking outside. Would definitely stay there again if we were in the area

All good.
We were very much younger than the other customers so didn't feel like we fitted in. But loved the place and the host.

A wonderful welcome from the hosts, excellent room - clean with all facilities, needs catered for. Breakfast and dinner were pub food at good value for money. Great rural location but close to major towns and attractions.
All good

Every aspect met our requirements.
It is a typical, friendly country pub without any pretensions. The staff were welcoming and very helpful.
The room was spotless, the bed was exactly what we wanted and the bathroom was great, especially the spa bath.
Dinner was great and value for money, especially the wine.
Only one small gripe which I forgot to mention when I was there. The toilet seat didn't remain upright which made using it a bit of a challenge for my husband.

Exceptional hosts

the bedroom was very modern, clean and tidy, the pub area is cosey and snug and the resturant area is very clean and posh
the only thing I can comment on is where it’s situated, it’s a off road trek on country lanes and a few pot holes on the roads but that isn’t the pub/hotels fault

Staff were lovely and friendly, great food and nice quite location. Room was small and cosy big enough for the two of us. We had an evening meal which was delicious and breakfast was lovely - great chef.
Maybe needed a little refurbishment here and there but overall perfect, nothing we didn't like.

The welcome ...our first visit since COVID. The room, the food and all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We were treated royally! (as usual) We will be back before too long.
Nothing to declare! Just the one downside.....we were only able to stay one night on this occasion.

It's a great location with a good mix of guests and locals. Checkin was incredibly easy, followed by some food and a couple of the excellent local ales.
There's a great selection for breakfast, the full english is highly recommended.
I can't recall staying anywhere else and feeling so welcome.
Nothing!

The beds were so comfortable and shower was great

Very friendly staff, fantastic breakfast and dinner. The staff is very knowledgeable about the history of the area and gave us many valuable tips on what to visit. A few beers in the pub in the evening rounded off the day perfectly. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay here again. Hamstall Ridware is only accessible via narrow paths but that is exactly what makes the charm of this location.

Friendly staff - comfortable bed - wide range of choice for breakfast
Nothing - all good
