unique, right in the jungle, and very nice staff.
no I’m itself a bad thing, but should be noted that from Salento, this place is 10-15 mins in cap + 20 minutes of walk in the jungle.

If you are in Salento you need to come stay here. My boyfriend and I have never done biotourism before and this was such an amazing first experience. Carlos was the best host we could ever ask for and was super accommodating during our stay. We took his tour and learned so much about the land and we got a crash course on how to be more mindful towards the environment. Overall everything was better than what we could have imagined, the rooms were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything you needed to cook a nice meal, and all the knowledge we gained was irreplaceable. We even joined Carlos in mediation in the mornings with him which was an extra special treat. Thank you so much Carlos for such a wonderful stay and all of your help. And also getting to know Luna the cat!!

we loved our stay at kasaguadua. Carlos is an exceptional host and it was a amazing experience all round. we stayed 3 nights and could have much easily stayed longer. we took part in the tour which gave us a background and purpose to the place. there is a great restaurant and also a cafe and coffee farm up the road. the kitchen and facilities are amazing. Luna 🐈 was also the best cat I have met on my travels.

The Kasaguadua Ecolodge is beautifully located in the middle of the jungle. Carlos is doing an excellent job of conservation of the forest whilst also being a great host to his guests

Staying at Kasaguadua was an absolute highlight of our trip! Carlos is the most hospitable and welcoming host and made us feel at home. He also taught us a lot about conservation, meditation, history, rtc.
The facilities were also great and really clean.

Wow what an adventure staying here! The walk to the hostel was so cool, and the common room was large and very relaxed to spend time in. The owner, Carlos, was really friendly and helped us with everything we needed including guidance about the local area. There is also a meditation building on the property and I was able to join Carlos for that. The small pods were very small but comfortable (and lots of storage under the bed) and it was great hearing the noises of the forest while falling asleep.
Nothing, just make sure to read the information like about the long walk to the property (15-20 minutes). The path is very steep and narrow, but totally doable even with big backpacks.

Absolutely gorgeous location in the forest. The sleeping units are beautifully built amd comfortable.
Carlos and Wili were exceptional hosts and made us feel like we had arrived at a home from home. Even if the weather isn't always perfect for hiking, the communal area is perfect for relaxing, reading and cooking.
Thank you!

Carlos was an absolute gem! So much energy to give us information on so many topics. We found it all fascinating and learnt a lot. His generosity in sharing his very beautiful kitchen and living room with guests.
We had a lot of rain but of course it is the cloud forest so to be expected.

To start, just read the instructions (booking e-mail) from Carlos carefully and you should be fine. You will arrive after a 20 min walk trough the jungle at a unique stay. The cabins and the shared facility’s are beautiful and carefully designed by Carlos and Willy. Both really nice and friendly people with so much to tell. We learned a lot about Colombia, nature and more. Thanks again for everything Carlos, Willy and Luna🐈.

A truly unique experience in the middle of the cloud forest outside Salento. Carlos and Wili are both very nice, and will make you feel at home. It is recommended to get the tour with Carlos, he is very knowledgeable and passionate and it will give a deeper understanding of the cloud forest and sustainability. Also, it’s located very close to some of the coffee tours around Salento.

Carlos was such an amazing host.
We enjoyed every minute of our stay, we really got away from our "Austrian thinking", as Carlos would say.😁 It basically means that we got decelerated by the surrounding nature.
The highlight was by far the house jaguar Luna!

This was one of my favourite stays in Colombia, it was so peaceful and relaxing, you are completely surrounded by jungle but only 15 minutes from town, everything was clean and maintained, the eco-huts were very cosy, the breakfast was delicious and I was catered for (I’m vegan), the host was really informative and does a great tour of the property which you can book onto.
I highly recommend this property!

According to booking.com, we’ve stayed at 54 places, and for me this was the most amazing and my absolute favourite. If you want a taste of living immersed in the jungle and supporting a worthwhile project this is definitely the place for you.
The nature reserve itself is incredible, as is what the team has achieved. The domes are so cozy, and it’s lovely to wake up to the sounds of the birds. The communal area completely surpassed my expectations- a large, fully stocked kitchen, wifi, hot water in the showers. I was so impressed by what was offered in a remote location.
Above all, the staff are amazing. Carlos was so kind and lovely company, I enjoyed all the time we spent with him.
Thank you Kasaguadua for an unforgettable stay!!

Amazing. We were leaving Salento and returned when we heard about this property. Worth every second of it.
I’ve never stayed in a place as tranquil, welcoming and inspirational. Carlos has managed to achieve symbiosis with the reserve whilst offering our most comfortable stay in Colombia.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ecolodge Kasaguadua! Perfect for the adventurer who wants a little tranquility amongst nature. Fun 20 minutes hike through the forest which added to the feeling of remoteness and overall experience. We stayed in the smaller ecopods and they were surprisingly spacious and we had no issues keeping warm or dry even in the rain. The host Carlos was eager to answer any questions we had and gave us some great information about the surrounding areas. He was even quick to answer any questions we had long after we left. Great resource and very intelligent guy! Would love to stay there again if we are ever back in the area!

EcoLodge Kasaguadua is more than just accommodation. It’s an experience. Carlos has created a unique and intuitive project which is both environmentally sustainable and comfortable. The setting in the jungle is magnificent, the breakfast is delicious and the whole experience is insightful. We stayed a few nights and loved it!

I loved my stay at Kasaguadua and only wished I had stayed for longer. Carlos was a brilliant host, making me feel very welcome, and I loved learning more about the culture and wildlife in Colombia. The pod was wonderful, the comfiest bed I have slept in for a long time! Thank you.
Nothing, all brilliant.

Never stayed at a place like this. We loved the beautiful location, the amazing host/ owner who has an amazing vision and dream for this place.. Its like living in your own beautiful cloud forest surrounded by all the beauty Salento has to offer. The daily tour about the cloud forest and its eco system is great.
The lodge is in the middle of the jungle. So the hike to the lodge is a bit of a workout. But it's a beautiful hike with amazing views.

A real pleasure to stay with Carlos who made us feel incredibly welcome and at home during our stay. The pods, just like the main house, are beautifully designed and the jungle setting make this a very special place to stay.

It's not just accommodation, it's a little adventure. If you don't like jungle, animals and insects, you are definitely wrong here. We had a great time. Carlos and William are very good hosts and great people. We are very happy to have met them. Due to the small capacity of people who can be there at the same time, it is very familiar. We will definitely come back. We can also recommend the tour that Carlos offers. It is not only an informative tour, but you also do something good.

Absolutely amazing host/ owner (Will). Very welcoming, making sure we felt comfortable, amazing and chill vibe, provided food as we didn’t have anything to eat and couldn’t get any because the place is quite isolated. Place is very cozy, inside and outside, lots of Hamacas, in the middle of nature, fantastic experience.
The fact that we couldn’t stay longer, but that’s on us…

Incredible location, lost in the jungle, awake by birds songs...
Willy has been very helpful, available for advices and an improvised Chef able to cook specialties when the wheather was so terrible that it was almost impossible to go out to grab something to eat !
I did the tour in the natural reserve with Carlos which was a real added value of the stay, with an exceptional knowledge on the nature : highly recommended.
You are at the same time far from the village - far enough to feel getting lost (which is great), and close from the village to get start visiting other areas (by feet, that takes 45min)
I'm not sure there was a way to dry clothes - but all equipments are more than enough in this natural environment.
