A peaceful and beautiful experience
Extraordinary setting with well maintained garden and pool and in particular very beautiful architecture. The owner and staff are very helpful and kind. It is obvious that they are all proud of the place and put extra love to keep it a great experience for the guests. We also had better sleep than in any other hotel on Sri Lanka thanks to nice beds, sheets and comfy temperature. We would have loved to stay longer if the place was not fully booked.

Perfect place to end our Sri Lankan adventure after volunteering for a charity for two weeks.
The property was clean and tidy and better western standards than others we stayed in.
The pool is absolutely gorgeous but is a two minute wonder from the bungalow rather than being with it. The location isn’t central to Unawatuna beach but is in a beautiful setting and easy to get there in a tuk.

Superb
Our stay at Wija house was absolutely super - such a beautiful house in the middle of the jungle! I was working remotely from there for a week and the wifi was very good! We had a cleaning lady coming in once during our stay to clean and freshen the house !
Unfortunately the host was very unresponsive - so the only way to contact him was by calling him but also this was a bit tricky due to the language barrier… Also - the pictures of this accommodation are showing the pictures of both of the properties that are there next to each other. So when we arrived we were surprised as we were picturing something else! But don’t get me wrong - the surprise was only positive as the property was absolutely amazing!!!!

Great location, superb accommodation, highly recommended
We loved the location of Wija House. Very quiet, great views from a lovely private balcony. Lovely spacious accommodation. The host was always very helpful and attentive and made every effort to make our stay comfortable. We wish could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend.
We think that Booking.com should mention that there are a number of steps to climb to reach the chalet. This could be an issue to people with limited mobility. More electrical sockets in the property would be helpful.

A lovely location for peace and quiet with a short drive to the beach. Super place to relax! 😃
The place was super comfortable and very clean! Location is perfect to have some peacefulness and is about a 10 - 15 min drive from the beach! The bathrooms are newly built clean and super water pressure! The caretaker was very accommodating and friendly. The place was above and beyond expectation.
