Restaurant was poor, no choice on one night!

The location of the hotel is amazing. It's in a brilliant spot.
The ladies a breakfast were very friend and welcoming.
Will definitely be going back
The only niggle I had is that the room could do with having black out curtains as its very light in the room in the morning.
It's not a complaint more a suggestion

Everything as good as always
Love the views and location.
Breakfast very good as usual
Wish they could get chairs that are a bit more comfortable in the rooms

the whole ambience of the hotel is brilliant the brekkie was exceptional. the location was superb. the rooms are massive and very comfortable. The staff go beyond the call of duty. will defenitley stay again when visiting releatives
the only fault if we wanted to eat in the evening. the evening meal was too early for us. We think the restaurent should be alacarte and we would be inclined to eat in the evening. As it was we ate out.

The staff were very friendly and helpful when we had a problem. The tea tray was great to have. Great views and beach location.
There was a bad smell about the room and drips and scuffs on the wall. Had to keep spraying a fragrance. We have stayed before in a different room and the room was great.

The views were amazing, the rooms were spacious and Jade on reception was exceptional, there was a little confusion with the rooms but she was a star!
The evening meal we booked for 14 people but when we arrived only a table of 7 had been booked so we had to sit outside in the reception area, the food wasn’t the greatest, the chips on everyone’s dinners were raw, that was a little disappointing but not a deal breaker!

breakfast was 1st class value for money location brilliant room was brilliant as well
bar prices a littemore expensive than expected

Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed very comfortable too.
Location is very quiet but still easy walking to parks, shops and fairground.
Again booking a room with a view was allocated on ground floor. View of outside tables for the bar and people walking over the grass within a foot of your window. Beyond the tables you could see the river which was better than last time, if you stood on your tiptoes you could see over the outside tables for the dining room and hedge. Other than the view no complaints. They could do with an extra staff member on breakfast service as they were all working flat out and barely keeping up with demand.

My usual hotel was closed for refurbishment so this was the next choice it was built around the Mid eighties, but its been kept up and well maintained. so its like stepping back in time to a sound track of Wham & simple minds and Phil Collins!
Receptionist was lovely and got me in to the last sitting of dinner and was very helpful.
Staff were pleasant and friendly.
The room was very clean spacious and my view was probably the best Ive had this year looking out over the Tyne Harbour
Breakfast was a canteen style half self serve and cooked breakfast doled out for you. Choice was ok but limited it is in a big glass conservatory that's seen better days. There is good parking but you need to register at reception or the fine is hefty.
Dinner was very good considering I didn't have time to check in first!
Thankfully unlike my last hotel it did have tea & coffee and Biscuits!
Its a very old fashioned hotel in its ethos it felt like stepping back in time meal times are regimented and for a limited time so if your a late traveller the restaurant closes at 7:30 not 9:30 or 10:00 like most hotels. Also last sitting for breakfast is 8:45.
The rooms are bright & clean but again stuck in a time warp but its obviously a popular location.

Couldn’t get booked in at 12 when I’d paid extra for early check in but they waive red the cost and let us leave our bags that were in our room when we got back.
Need better choice of wine

The location was fabulous. We had a sea view room. The staff were very welcoming and up for a laugh. Great choice of food and it was served promptly with a smile.
Fresh Fruit at breakfast looked jaded - could have been presented much more nicely and fresher.

vegetarian breakfast could be improved
veggie sausages were a bit hard Took a long time to cook Also when the hash browns finished I had to wait more than 15 minutes so rest of breakfast was cold

Location
We asked the kitchen to help microwave our food and they said ok but then we brought the food one of the staffs said she was instructed not to

the location , good parking facilities, on the beach
breakfasts for vegetarians could be improved, as staff was not very helpful toward making vegetarians sausages and it took long time but then other stuff became cold and we haven’t enjoyed breakfast fully ,central heating was not working properly and was control not located in the room, when asked to receptionist was not very helpful.
