Loved the vibe at this hostel, the location and the friendly people working there. There is a lot of common space with a garden and roof terrace at the back.
The kitchen is used a lot and could be a bit cleaner. The double bed mattress needs replacement.

Breakfast and dinner were beyond great, and the staff super friendly! It was perfect to meet other travelers and locals
Bathrooms were too little.

Nice atmosphere in the Hostel. Breakfast was included, possibilities to work
Rooftop was really nice for breakfast and sunset. Rooms cosy decorated
They sold it with moskito nets, which was one of the reasons for chosing the place as after some rain these were quite penetrant.
There was a net on the Windows, but open at the side. The excuse was, they were being washed, while the next day we discovered, they just got rid of them. They did provide a chemical solution, but being allergic to the chemicals, that was no option.
They did offer free cancellation, which we did appreciate, nevertheless decided to stay. It is not professional though, insisting in sending us to a different place, if we didn't want to do so. That was the most unpleasant situation.

Breakfast, location and staff
2.5
The location is good in theory. Close to the beach and to many restaurants / bars. Showers / common areas are clean. I believe breakfast is offered but we didn’t take it. Nice hammock in the garden. Two nice cats and a few dogs. My friend is Uruguayan and had good conversation with the staff, me as an English speaker less so.
It’s likely not the hostels fault because a) it’s peak season so busy and b) the noise was largely from outside; but the noise levels are unbearable. Four nights of hell (which we had to pay upfront so could not move after the first night, we were trapped). Now, full disclosure, my friend and I are in our late 30s and leaning towards retirement from hostels haha so I am sure that for younger people who are there to party, it will be great. However, I’ve travelled for around 15 years and never known noise levels this bad from hundreds of other hostel stays. The hostel has a “quiet time” from 1am (poorly enforced) and then from 1am until 6am a party thumps and vibrates outside the bedroom windows. But, it’s January so maybe this is normal. I would say the least the hostel could do is offer earplugs to guests. Six bed dorm, very small and few charging points. No curtains on beds or individual lights. Cannot really move in the room when all occupants are present. I was also keen to amend my original booking from 4 nights to 3, as I wanted to spend some time away from the coast in the countryside. I was denied this and advised they have a 4 night minimum stay which, to be honest, is excessive. I also received multiple WhatsApps between when I booked to when we arrived, it felt a bit annoying because they were constantly asking if the reservation was still confirmed and were we coming. Once or twice, OK. But I think I got about 4 or 5 messages and it was a bit much.

Very good breakfast!
In the night the streets around the hostel can be so noisy.

the staff was really friendly, overall the hostel vibe was really nice, the bathroom was very good, the room size also good. Besides, there was an event on the hostel with live music and food which was nice, the outdoor space is cute.
the room was very very noisy, which kind of sucked, but honestly we couldnt sleep anyways because there were endless mosquitoes there, so if you ever go take some bug spray with you. but all the rest was nice.

Nice hostel vibe, great location and helpful staff.
The private room was super noisy on the corner of the street and there was some light early in the morning because I could not totally close out the windows.
