Highly recommend this hotel for perfect stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our rooms were extremely comfortable, clean and spacious. All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food great too.

Lovely and refreshing

The location was absolutely fab. The beds were so comfy. We enjoyed our evening meal and breakfst too. The children loved it and couldn't wait to go to the play area.

Food very good and great value. Staff very helpful, and polite.

I was allocated room 5, a small double, which is fine for a single traveller. The main problem was noise. The central heating system is very noisy and was on all night. Bathroom extraction fans (in adjacent rooms), which cut in when bathroom lights are turned on, were also very noisy and would run for several minutes. I had less than three hours of sleep. Another minor problem was the TV. The audio description was turned on, and despite my best efforts to turn it off, it would not. Also, there is no remote control.

Very welcoming very clean

I stayed Christmas Eve although it was very busy the staff was very helpful and very welcoming , my room was ready nice and warm and very clean.. my family joined me for a meal 11 of us!! Nothing was too much trouble and the meal was spot on …I would highly recommend cubly hall ..The lady who served breakfast was so nice and breakfast also delicious…

Very good location but accommodation disappointing

The location was excellent for the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Hepworth Galleries in Wakefield. The staff were all very friendly and helpful

Our room was not cleaned after our first night so the shower gel had not been replenished. The room had not been checked before our stay as the toilet seat needed mending and the on/off switch on the kettle didn’t work. The evening meals and breakfast were good but no choice of teas

A wonderful place to have a short relaxing break.

The staff were immediately very welcoming and helpful The room was exceptionally clean. Food in the bar was excellent, as in well presented, good value and delicious. The bed was comfortable, and seemed independently sprung, so we did not disturb each other much when moving. The shower was brilliant in a very clean bathroom. Breakfast was very very good, and the overall feel of the hotel was relaxed and a nice place to be, with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.

There was nothing to dislike. Anything we might point out would be purely subjective and therefore not fair to share.

Lovely place to stay

Lovely staff and the food was excellent. The rooms are lovely. We stayed in room 4 and it has the best views. Fantastic breakfast and relaxed atmosphere.

Unfortunately the radiator was broken and I couldn't turn it down. Thankfully there is a fan provided in the room which solved the problem. 😀

Great spot to stay in the Pennines

Really quirky old building that's been modernised. Rooms were a good size and beds were really comfy. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable and breakfast was really good, as was the dinner -portions are huge!

The only thing I would change is the breakfast selection, there seemed to be a gap between full on full English breakfast and small croissant. Some sort of eggs on toast type thing would plug the gap

Good for one night but wouldn't want to stay there for relaxation purposes if it was really busy

I'm 6ft tall and couldn't stand under the shower without crouching and it had nowhere to adjust Heard every little noise from room next door, especially toilet flush, but expected in older places like this

A lovely place, great location, wonderful staff at all levels and we look forward to returning.

All the staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. We were very well catered for at the wake that we were attending there. The facilities were very clean and warm. The manager ,Oliver, was very hands on and did everything possible to cater for our needs individually and as a large group for the wake and for the party of guests in the evening. The full English breakfast that we had was good quality, well cooked and presented. In short, a lovely place, great location, wonderful staff at all levels and we look forward to returning.

Beautiful setting with fantastic views over the countryside. Good breakfast and staff very friendly. Plenty of parking and local walks available. Plenty of outside seating although the weather was too cold for us to use. We liked having an adjustable heater in our room

Not advised that you needed to order at the bar . We were shown to our table, given menus and we sat waiting for quite some time before we saw people coming in and ordering at the bar.

Excellent value

Our stay was just an overnight one, en route to another destination. I wanted a low budget hotel because it was just somewhere to sleep for the night and as long as it is clean, comfortable and quiet I am happy, and Cubley Hall delivered on all of these. Whilst I would not choose to stay here for any length of time it was excellent value.

One of the cleanest bedrooms I have ever stay in! Gorgeous hall, lovely staff and magnificent full English breakfast the next morning

Room 7 overlooks an office, a minor inconvenience, just kept that curtain drawn
