Gorgeous property in an exceptional location overlooking the sea with a view of Sao Vincente. A great place to catch your breath and relax while travelling in Cape Verde. The breakfast is delicious, the owners welcoming and helpful while respecting privacy and space.

Lovely relaxing position, nice pool , room and breakfast. Very well run. Unfortuantly the nearby restuarant is closed and you have to get into town for a meal. There is a very nice walk along the sea that takes about 40min. We walked back along the road in the dark with no problem. Taxi is around 4 Euros.
Port Novo is devoid of good restuarants. We had a bad experience in a couple. Luckiliy Autentico exists (near the ferry terminal). We ate there on each of our 4 days. Wonderful local, well prepared food at a good price.

Light rooms with a vast view of the ocean and São Vicente and a large balcony with multiple seating arrangements. The rooms are no-frills but really nicely furnished and very clean. The owner provides carefully selected breakfast options. If you prefer to take your breakfast alone, you can also take it back to your room and eat on the balcony, which we did and quite enjoyed.

The place was incredible, next to the sea, the sound of the waves, the stars looked beautiful at night on the terrace, tranquility, relaxation... The gentleman of the house very friendly, very rich breakfasts to gain strength... I definitely recommend it!

The room is spotless, very big and with stunning views of the beach and sea.
I’ve found the breakfast improvable; I’ve missed more fresh fruits options and variety of options from one day to the next, but it is quite acceptable.
We stayed 2 nights and there was no cleaning of the room and bathroom.

+ Great view on the beach and over to São Vicente
+ Good breakfast (bread „so so“)
+ Friendly French owner helping with hike planning
+ Nice bright rooms and bathrooms
+ Fridge provided with cold drinks to buy
Nothing really. The terraces could be designed a bit nicer (needs some paint and floor redone). But we enjoyed our stay very much :)

LOCATION: 20-30 minute beachwalk from the city centre. It is fine, but a bit far if you want to go into porto novo a couple of times a day.
BREAKFAST: was inside the house of the owners, with them on the same table. It was very basic, but fine.
ROOM: first we stayed in the family room (4p) and afterwards in #1. The family room is much more comfortable, because it is MUCH less hotter and the windows have mosquito nets (instead of above the bed), the beds were also harder in #1.
ACCOMODATION: beautifully decorated garden with view of the sea and sao vicente. The combination of the sea, black sand and rocks, pool, with different plants was gorgeous.
STAFF: only the husband spoke few words of english. However, when we asked for something they would try to help us.
OTHER: there is a beachbar 1 minute walk away from Cap azul that has amazing food!
1. They had an amazing garden with wooden sunbeds, however no cushions.. So it would get uncomfortable real quick. It really was such a shame!
2. The rooms on the front (#1 and #2) were extremely hot, I think that at least a fan would be necessary, even better an airco.
3. Not that the accomodation could do anything about it, but there really numerous annoying flies and mosquitoes around the sunbeds that bothered us a lot. We couldn't sit still and relax.
4. As I stated above, really basic breakfast.
5. No wifi around the pool area. Only in the rooms.

The view is absolutely amazing and the place has a good vibe. It's a bit further from Porto Novo but absolutely worth it. The smell of good coffee was a nice wake up call.
Fresh fruits for breakfast would be a nice to have

The view is very nice. Guillaume the host was very gracious and helpful. The room was very spacious. The breakfasts in the morning were very nice and we really liked the space that Guillaume created.
It would be helpful if there were screens on the windows. We had a lot of mosquitos in the room. One of the beds didn't have a mosquito net and I had to sew the other mosquito net to keep it closed. It was a little bit further from town than we had imagined.

Guillaume is a nice guy who have a wonderful house, nice located. On top, on the beach there a very good restaurant, the Morabeza, and the owner and his waitress are very friendly. Don't miss it!
