Superb breakfast, amazing rooms and location, fantastic host who could not have been more charming , friendly and a wonderful host! Best b&b we have all ever stayed in by a long shot!

Our stay here was quite exceptional. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome by Genevieve. The location is stunning in a lovely village. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was excellent specially prepared by Genevieve. The best breakfast I have had in any hotel.

Wonderful place, wonderful host. Highly recommended.

A brilliant place to stay. Stylish and comfortable with imaginative interior design features. Genevieve is an excellent host. She provides a varied and deliciously tasty breakfast. Freshly made cakes and apricot crumble during our visit. Highly recommended and somewhere that we would very much wish to stay at again. Tres Bien.

The loveliest place I've ever stayed where every detail was perfect.

The loveliest place I've ever stayed. The design of the rooms, the attention to detail, the beautiful overlook over the village square, and the owner who was incredibly kind and friendly (and made a delicious breakfast, too) were all wonderful. I can't recommend this special gem enough.

There are very few places I would describe as perfect - but Genevieve's attention to detail in the interiors, exteriors and presentation and delicious breakfast make it a special stay that we will all (ourselves and two daughters, staying in the spacious top suite) remember forever. The small village setting is also beautiful with several gorgeous restaurants and amazing views, which all feels off the beaten track. I would recommend to anyone!

Excellent!

Superior accommodation - more like a boutique hotel than a B&B. Clean, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing, the owner’s design work sets this gem apart. The breakfast is a work of art. The location in the lovely village can’t be topped. Our only complaint? We could only stay one night. Superb!

La Maison does it again - boutique perfection!

WOW - this is our second visit to La Maison and we could not wait to come back and meet the wonderful, elegant host Genevieve again. Nowhere we have ever stayed (and we travel a lot) compares to the uniqueness of La Maison. The soothing and curious interiors that keep you double looking to discover new things in your room, the most delicious and epic breakfast spread you've ever had, the fairy tale setting in the village and the utter kindness and professionalism of your host. La Maison rivals the best boutique hotels in the world, see for yourself, it's no exaggeration. Oh, and just when you thought it couldn't get any better, car parking is really easy right out the front and the surrounding restaurants are walkable and superb.

Wow wow wow!! What a find!

Just WOW!! What a fabulous place. The interior design and architecture is just stunning. We had a huge room, with absolutely impeccable decor and cleanliness. Genevieve the host was absolutely wonderful. So welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. She helped book us restaurants on both nights and served the most outstanding breakfast in the morning. It was a work of art and utterly delicious! The hotel is also in a beautiful village perche with the most stunning basilica on top of it. So thrilled to have found both the village and the hotel. Thank you for such a fabulous few days.

Perfect in every way and we hope to return one day. Totally recommend it to other travelers.

The host Genevieve was very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and she helped us in so many ways. Our room was stunning and had all of the facilities that you would need. Very spacious too. The breakfast was the best I've ever had in accommodation like this. Lots of home made elements and we sat in beautiful surroundings. We left very early the next day and didn't want to miss out on the breakfast, so Genevieve made us a picnic to take with us - so kind of her, it even included some home made cake!

There was nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect.

For a short break this hotel, its facilities and wonderful hostess was an absolute rare treat.

Great location, fabulous hostess, and above expectations room and all this with a first class service from our hostess. Staying here was just a lovely experience.

Elegant sophistication with a wonderful hostess

Having worked all my life with 5-star hotels and luxury brands, to say that this property was exceptional is an understatement! We so enjoyed our visit to Penne D’Agenais and we were warmly welcomed by the wonderful owner. The room we stayed in was so elegant; contemporary French styling but with beautiful touches of the owner’s personality too. We also enjoyed the fantastic breakfast(home-made and elegantly presented).Everything was truly 5-star and we loved, loved, loved it!

There are some places more magical then others. maison sur la place is one of them. From the first moment I entered the house I was immediately amazed by the beauty of the interior and by the nicest hostess Geneviève. She welcomed us with open arms we immediately felt at ease and at home. The rooms were very quiet, cozy and clean! With respect for the authenticity of the building and the environment. I had all the creature comforts we needed!
