This was one of our favorite places we stayed in TAS. It really felt like we were out in the middle of the bush, and I loved relaxing on the sunny back porch watching the birds and pademelons. We were happy to see pardalote nest boxes on the property, even though we didn't see any forty-spotted pardalotes on this trip. The cabin itself was comfortable and cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the wood-burning stove and plug-in heater in the bedroom kept things warm. Wifi was an unexpected bonus.
The coffee machine is very fancy, but takes whole beans and I wasn't a fan of its coffee. I recommend bringing your own instant coffee, especially if you are a coffee snob like us. The water in the bird bath was very dirty, so we cleaned and refilled it, which the wildlife seemed to appreciate.

Beautiful location on small acreage. Fun to watch birds and pademelons. Well-equipped kitchen.
Pretty rustic.

absolutely beautiful bushland, plenty of wildlife and great birding!
nothing negative to say about it really - loved the experience. some walking trails on the property would be a cool addition, but there are plenty of places to bushwalk nearby.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights in the well equiped cottage in a beautiful bush location. A great place to get away from people & to enjoy the peace & quiet surrounded by nature. Visiting wallabies & birds were delightful. The wood fire made the cottage cozy.
We didn’t stay longer than 2 nights

The property is located in beautiful bush land with a river a short walk away. It is quiet & isolated, perfect for reading and enjoying solitude. It is also not far from the delights of Bruny Island.
The images of the property showed kayaks which appealed to us; however they are no longer available. Basic pantry items were minimal which made self catering a little difficult and showed a lack of welcome to the traveller. The coffee machine was not easy to use and l couldn’t find the manual. No other coffee options were available. A wifi login was provided but there was no internet and phone coverage. That amused us. It did look like little care had been taken in the appearance of the property’s furnishings.

The secluded location was wonderful, perfect for disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of life. I loved the furry and feathered visitors and the warmth of the fire.
They could do with some rugs on the stone floor during the winter months as one pair of socks did not keep feet warm.

Secluded location, nice spot to sit outdoors. Rustic but comfortable. Fun to have the little creek nearby and see lots of birds and hoppers. The history of the place was very interesting.
Wi-Fi was not working but i think it usually does. Would be great if house had kayaks for the creek. Probably cost a bit more than i would expect for the facilities. The fire place kept things warm but we could not find a fireplace screen

The peace, serenity and wildlife
Would have liked an axe or block buster to cut the wood and the cabin needed a good dusting to remove cobwebs

Being out in the nature
The lack of windows furnishings

the electric jug should be replaced - it does not stay 'on' until the water is boiling.
A reading lamp in the lounge would be useful.

This cottage was fantastic! Great facilities and right in the heart of the bush. Wildlife came right up to the door - amazing.
The instructions from the company were good, but the signage was easy to miss. Luckily they warned us no reception prior to arriving so we were fine -would definitely recommend downloading directions/ instructions prior to arrival.
