Exceptional

Maria and her family were very welcoming. (Quite literally - Maria stayed up until 2.30am to welcome us!) The apartment was clean and comfortable and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. The food in the Barbagiannis Restaurant downstairs was delicious - my son told us that the Lonely Planet Guide to Greece reviewed the Restaurant as the best place on Kalymnos for authentic Greek cuisine.

There wasn't much to dislike. The Prego Restaurant next door hosted a wedding reception one night with the music and dancing going on until 3am, but the musicians were so good, (traditional Kalymnian folk music), that I sat out on the balcony until the end of the celebrations.

pleasant stay

the rooms are clean with a sea view. there is a shared kitchenette but we didnt use it as there are several restaurants nearby. the host was very friendly

plumbing seems to be an issue...we had a leacking tap to sleep with

The host Maria is very nice and helpful, there’s restaurant downstairs that serves good meal. cats are cute~~~

hot water is not 24 hours supply, but you can ask the host to extend the supply time

Cozy and clean place. Attentive and nice owner. Good food. Poor WIFI and low pressure in the shower.

Location was great. The owner was very nice and attentive. The room and bathroom were clean, although the cutlery was in the room was dirty. The bed was comfortable enough. The food they serve in the restaurant is very tasty.

The WIFI only works in the morning, when not too many people is using it. There was hot water in the shower, but it takes a while until the water gets warm and the pressure is low. The kitchen could have a microwave.

A perfect stay

Not only was the room really clean, well located within the city and spacious given the price, but the owners had thought of many little details to make life even easier : a mosquito net on the balcony door, there was a comforter for me as the nights were still a bit cold, some basic cutlery and coffee machine inside the room in addition to a bigger, shared kitchen. The restaurant downstairs was also excellent.

very nice and lovely staff, in the center of town. clean and quiet rooms. nice balcony to sit on as well. great place to stay for 2 climbers. as a bonus the restaurant was also delicious!

Great stay, would defintely recommend.

Small but clean & cozy room with fridge and some dinnerware. Small shared kitchen available. Great host & good restaurant downstairs. Perfect location for climbing trips with loads of crags in walking distance.

Warm welcoming family who will make you feel at home during your stay!

Maria and her family were wonderful hosts who went out of their way to accommodate me and my friend. They were especially flexible with us around our check out when our climbing group went a little bit later than expected. Also, we enjoyed a few meals in their restaurant and everything was so delicious, especially the lamb kleftiko with fasolada and salad. Truly beautiful people and the perfect spot to crash during a week of climbing in Kalymnos.

The water in the shower had salt water vibes to it but considering we’re on a small island and how economical the price of the hotel is, we got used to it and didn’t really mind it in the end.

The hosts are very friendly, helpful, which gives this place a unique family atmosphere. Rooms are comfortable, with everything you may need, cleaned every day. Delicious food in restaurant. We will definitely be back :)
