Location is excellent. The view from our room was mesmerizing. Food was tasty and served promptly. Mr. Vinod at the restaurant took very good care of us. 'Ganga Ji Aarti' happening every evening was a pleasant gesture and we loved it very much. Also enjoyed reading some quality content at the library. Overall a pleasant stay.
Female masseurs were not available, which was a limitation for ladies to take spa treatments.

We stayed at the Ganga cottage which was clean and spacious and came with a private sitout. The location of the property is stunning with amazing views, access to a secluded white sand beach and plenty of photo corners. Breakfast was included in the package and had a huge spread. High tea was included in the package too and had a decent spread of pakoras, sandwiches and tea time cakes. Staff and service was superb. Perfect combination of luxury and comfort.

Beautiful location and facilities. Great pool with filtrated water from the Ganges. Breath taking views. Nice and helpful staff.
Little options options during breakfast and tea time for gluten and dairy free. No hand/ face towels provided in room and not enough loo roll.

Property is about an hour from Rishikesh unlike 30 minutes mentioned on the booking.com website. So the logistics and absolutely change.

Beautiful location right by the Ganges river
Absolutely not worth the money, and most definitely not up to the standard with other 4 star hotels.
I will detail everything that went wrong chronologically to make it easier to understand why this establishement is by no means a 4-star hotel:
- I booked the Ganga Vista Cottage room because it looked nice and had a very spa vibe
- Right after booking, I sent a message to make sure we could get massages during our stay. No response for 9 days, and then finally I am told I can just book massages upon arrival.
- 2 days before check-in, I send a WhatsApp message to really make sure we could get 2 massages at the same time, and I am given the number of the person in charge of the spa who confirms this won't be an issue
- when we arrived, we are shown our room, which is I must say very clean and spacious, but has obviously not been thought through properly - if you have the curtains open, you are always visible to people outside the room because of the big windows both in the bedroom and in the bathroom. The bathtub they advertise on the photo has a direct view on a service area where employees come and go, so it's basically unusable unless you're happy having people looking at you while you bath (and that's why the angle of the photo of the bathtub is inwards).
- After a quick shower, we decide to call for a massage (mind you: this establishement is supposed to be a spa resort with around 10 rooms), and we are told that 2 out of the 3 massage rooms are being renovated, so we cannot have 2 massages at the same time (even though we had a confirmation we could a few days before from the head of the spa). Fine. Then we ask for a rather standard facial massage, and we are told the only massage available is the full body massage (out of 12 different massages offered in the brochure provided in the room).

View from the property
The overall stay in the property was very unpleasant. The lady at the reception (Anjali) and property manager were extremely stubborn and unprofessional. Initially we were offered a dingy room which had the smell of paint/chemicals and looked nothing like the mountain view room that we had booked for INR 12k per night. When we asked for the room that was promised at the time of booking, we were given a much smaller room which had dirty linen with stains all over the pillow cover, bed sheet and duvet. There was drainage issue in the bathroom as well.

Everything was exceptional. Our room, the scenery, food and -the best- the staff. They were so helpful, always smiling.
We had the best service with amazing food in a great nature! Definitely coming back. Thank you so much for everything :)

Restaurant staff in general were great and very helpful. Food was great!!
I asked them to arrange a room with easy access for my Mom without any stairs. I even called them before visiting the property to ensure they were going to do so and they assured me they will do that. My mother has bone cancer and she is prone to fractures so, we were only going to stay there if they had done so.
First of all the room wasn't ready and we had to wait for over an hour. If they had told me before hand that they had allocated a room with stairs, I would have cancelled the booking but we drove for 7 hours to find out they had allocated her a room on the second floor with stairs access and it even had stairs in the room to use the toilet. This was really disappointing to see given I had given them plenty of notice and made efforts to ensure this doesn't happen. It was such a let down. After an hour of back and forth, they did allocate her a room with easy access and our concerns were addressed but it was quite stressful for sometime. I was also somewhat disappointed with the room they had originally allocated and didn't quite give us the feel of a luxury resort.
