A Unique Experience and Amazing Host

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The lodge is a very unique and special place with extensive grounds and a lake. Kim was a very kind and attentive host, and we had a nice chat on the evening of our stay in the amazing 'kitchen diner' probably the largest and most well equipped facility we have ever seen. It was really interesting to learn about the history of the lodge and Kim's experience during the 2009 bushfires, and the subsequent regeneration. We enjoyed the communal breakfast and Kim kindly helped us to plan our road trip for the day. The rooms were perfect, comfortable and well equipped, with a view. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location - gorgeous scenery, very tranquil & such a vast property where you can just sit & soak up all its wonders or you can wonder on a walk if you wish to explore.

Beautiful and spacious lodge.

We had a lovely stay in Saladin Lodge. The property has stunning views and gorgeous outdoor area to enjoy nature. Breakfast is abundant and delicious prepared by amazing host Kim. Highly recommend this accommodation. We'll definitely be back.

Tranquil and Inviting Stay

The Saladin Lodge is an incredibly beautiful property sited at the edge of the Yarra Ranges. Kim, the owner and host, was so hospitable and accommodating. She made check-in easy and went out of her way to provide guidance on local hikes and attractions as well as inform us of the lodge’s history.

Really nice accommodation and host. Shame we didn’t have a room with our own bathroom

Breakfast was amazing. The property itself is really nice except for the fact that you have to share a toilet and bathroom facilities which is not everyone cup of tea and definitely not mine!

Probably advertise so people know that staying at Saladin accommodation does mean shared amenities as this did put a damper on our trip. In fact if we had driven straight to the lodge and not gone sight seeing we would have probably returned home.

The beautiful landscape surrounding the property, combined with the wildlife made for a serene experience. Kimmy went above and beyond during our stay. She made our stay memorable, as though she was family.

It was peaceful, comfortable and extremely enjoyable. I would come back to the lodge in a heartbeat.

The location is absolutely serene and the lodge itself is a nice wide open space with special tucked away areas where the rooms are. Kim lets you have quite a lot of freedoms which is nice (you’re free to use the kitchen to make coffee, etc). She puts a lot of trust in her visitors, so you then feel an increased responsibility to be respectful. The room we had was lovely and the bed was so comfy. Everything is provided (towels, T.V., breakfast, dinner), so you really feel welcome and comfortable there.

I can’t really say there was anything I didn’t like about it.

A great way to finish off our snow trip to Lake Mountain and stay the night at Saladin Lodge.

Kim was very friendly and gave some great recommendations about local attractions for our family. The kids also got to feed some fish and horses.

Superb

At just 10-15 minutes from Marysville, the lodge is nicely located to venture out to the Cathedral Ranges or Lake Mountain Resort. The central room has an open kitchen where Kim whips up scrumptious breakfasts, there are sofa's to enjoy a drink and the wood fire at both ends of the large room. The room was large and nicely warm when we arrived (it is winter!). The owner also helped us decide on the walks we wanted to do with the Snobs Falls and Eildon Lake spillway. And she was spot on with recommending the place to have lunch!

We had an amazing time at the Saladin Lodge, and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful breakfast organised by Kim in a spacious yet warm and cozy dining space. Lovely spacious rooms, and Kim was kind enough to have the room nice and warm with the heater turned on for us when we arrived. The best experience I’ve ever had at an accommodation, Kim was kind, welcoming and made us feel right at home and at ease. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

This was a memorable stay that exceeded our expectations, and they were very high. Most grateful!

Wow, wow and wow! This is a beautiful retreat in an exceptionally beautiful part of Victoria. As others have said, Kim is such a warm and hospitable host, with many entertaining stories to tell! She has created a cozy, modern and aesthetically pleasing environment for guests, and the setting is gorgeous.

Nothing to report here. It was fantastic!

Hidden gem amoung the Yarra Valley

Carlie and i loved everything and would highly recommend the Saladin lodge to anyone. It was my partners birthday and We loved everything and our host Kim who is the director and owner is just amazing at what she does and you can cleary see all the love and passion she brings! She upgraded us to a beautiful barn for a more private setting which was amazing. Breakfast and dinner were cooked by kim and they to were amazing!!

What i didnt like? I didnt know about the place sooner!!
