This is like Utopia, the perfect world. I appreciated especially the guest book with detailed information and the surprise dinner every night witch was exceptional, the helpful and friendly staff, the garden tour, hikes, workshops and closeness to nature. Also a highlight was yoga every morning with the sunrise. I never wanted to leave this place.

The property itself is beautiful and set amongst lush nature. The food is tasty and very fresh from the garden. The rooms are comfortable and most have lovely views.
There was little explanation of the activities and use of sauna etc arriving at 5pm as the office was already shut. No real effort was made to communicate the following day and I wasn’t met with much enthusiasm when I asked about doing a garden tour the following day. No mention of sauna so when I saw it and asked if wsn’t available for the days I was there. It was also a little annoying to be rushed to make decisions about food choices after each meal in preparation first the nectar although I do understand this was partly to ensure everything was picked fresh from the garden. More explanation would have helped guests feel more at ease with this.

The Eco Lodge is in a pretty and remote location on the slopes of Batukaru volcano. The cottages are dotted around lush gardens growing fruit and herbs. Our cottage had a shady terrace to relax on. There’s a really excellent restaurant serving local specialities, a freshwater swimming pool and some comfy places to sit. From the lodge there are excellent guided walks into the plantations, rainforest and temples.
There really wasn’t anything that we didn’t like.

The location is beautiful, but you cannot explore it without the guide. Food was mainly good but overpriced by at least 1/3 of average price.
All the services and food in hotel are overpriced and quality of the services is lower than expected because there is no competition nearby. No other restaurants, spa etc.
It was very noisy during my stay in Cozy view bungalow as I hear all the noises from the restaurant and swimming pool, especially at the evening.
The hotel charged me a higher price than original price of my booking at booking.com and they have added 5% service charge to the room rate which was not stated during my booking and is ridiculous as booking.com stated the price including taxes and charges.
The staff is unpleasant and unprofessional. Reception opens 8:15, while it’s mentioned 8:00. The receptionist was never smiling and doesn’t know how to do the card payments, so besides charging me extra she gave me additional stress by saying that my card is invalid.
when I wanted to order the transfer the hotel provided me with one rate, and next day when I wanted to order the transfer the price was already different.
Safe box and hot water didn’t work on my check-in and I had to ask them to fix it.
I didn’t like massage, do not recommend.

This is one of the peaceful place in Bali that we have seen
It is a real retreat to spend time here
The food is very very very good
They have full Eco friendly equipment
The cottages are very nice and the sightseeing incredible, there are also confortable
The swimming pool is also a unique experience that you should try
We would like to thank the several cooker who are very good and very helpful
For information the hotel respects the biodiversity and so you could find insects in the room, of course they are harmless
Everything is quite expensive compared to Bali average price
Given of the peacefulness of the place it is quite isolated and so you are fully dependant of the hotel facility and so its price

Beautiful refuge in the jungle ideal for those who like to enjoy free time in the middle of nature. Perfect for couples or families with children (ours was the case: 1 teen and 1 child). Very interesting activities, delicious food, especially breakfast, all organic, with ingredients that come from their garden especially for you. We stayed in a bungalow treehouse with stunning views, Indonesian style decor, very spacious with comfortable beds with mosquito nets... We had a cat visiting us during the night, we like animals, so that was not a problem for us, but be prepared for some insects, we are in their habitat and in a lovely Eco Resort.
The treehouse has 2 bedrooms, on different levels without internal communication between them and only the floor level has a bathroom... not very pleasant for those on the first floor if they need to go to the bathroom during the night, having to come downstairs but through the stairs outside the house, very dark, cold...
