This was the most beautiful home to stay in. I stay home because it felt like a home, they were so welcoming. It was gorgeous it was unique it was comfortable we loved everything. The room was absolutely amazing- it was HUGE and had so much cool history to share with my kids. They have deep bath tubs that were perfect for a soak after a long work day. They gave us cookies when we arrived- even texted to see what time we would be there so they could greet us. The house is amazing and the area is really clean and feels safe. My kids loved it and I can’t wait to stay there again!
The only small thing was that the pillows could’ve been a little softer! But really everything that was so great there, we loved our stay.

We had the French toast and the Italian baked eggs, we both enjoyed our choices so much that we had it the second day too. I will be making the baked eggs at home, I loved the whole dish/recipe.
Food was great, loved the afternoon wine/cheese.
House was beautiful and quaint. I don’t have any complaints.

It was charming.

So close to family we visited. The food was wonderful and the service was great. Everyone was super nice! We love just being around the corner from our loved ones!

Decent breakfast with friendly and helpful staff. Efforts to keep guest separate from one another - presumably for COVID-related reasons. Nice antiques in the common areas.
No closet in the room. Not even any sort of rack to hang a wet towel - even though the owner requests reuse of towels. Poor WiFi connectivity (my cellphone as a hotspot was much, much faster). Mattress seemed old and was not especially comfortable. Placing books in one of the two drawers in the dresser is a silly idea and discourages appropriate use of the dresser (since there is no other place to put the books).

Staying in this wonderfully restored historic home was an amazing experience.
The breakfast choices were first rate. Returning in the evening to an offer of wine and cheese was appreciated.
A reading light next to the chair would have made my room more comfortable.

I liked that the hotel was very close to the location where we had our appointment the following day. And also, the Breakfast was pretty good.
There was no parking. We got stuck in traffic coming in and came in later than expected. There was no parking at all, and nobody alerted us to this. I guess we were just supposed to know. I ended up double parking, carrying all my stuff upstairs, and then driving my car a little more than a mile away, trusting God would watch over my car, and walking back (San Francisco hills are not fun) to my room. I couldn't sleep well because I was worried about my car all night long. Also, there was no TV in the room. The no TV in the room and the no parking came as a surprise. I feel like if I was alerted to these 2 things before booking my room and then still choose the room, then that would be my fault. But, in 42 years of life, this was the first hotel room I have ever stayed at where they didn't have parking for their guest, and there was no TV in the room. The Staff was fine. Very polite and courteous.

Breakfast was good. Charm of common areas was great. Bathroom was great. We had a private bath with the Isadora Duncan room and we really liked the bathroom. Location was close to family who lives several blocks away. Wine was nice in the parlor
The bed was not at all comfortable. I knew it was only a full and was prepared for that but the mattress was saggy. It not only sloped towards our heads (we switched ends the 2nd & 3rd night with our heads at the foot of the bed) but it sagged in the middle as well. Golden Gate Ave was very noisy

Not usually drawn to the bed & breakfast set up, but very glad we did. The accommodations were comfortable and convenient. The staff were extremely hospitable (thank you Sab!) and not intrusive. Breakfast was excellent and far exceeded our expectations. The afternoon wine and cheese was definitely a bonus. We stayed in the Aimee Crocker room, and though small, did not feel cramped because of the high ceilings and extra sitting area. The architecture and decor throughout transports you to another area. All in all, a very good experience.

It fit with the city. Made me feel like I lived there. Added to the experience of being in San Francisco. The staff were sweet. The food was good. Appreciated the wine and cheese from 4-6.
Some things could be scrubbed a little cleaner.

Everything was lovely. Especially good breakfasts and the staff were accommodating with the need for gluten-free food.
Free wifi was good.
We did not like that our private bathroom was across the hall from our bedroom.

We found the staff and amenities at the Chateau very friendly and helpful but non intrusive. After 8pm you can reach the manager if needed but generally you can relax in the parlor or your comfortable room with its unique restored decor.
