The views were amazing! The cabin was nice and clean. The kitchen had everything that you might need. Everyone slept great! AC's worked great.
Nice hot water with good water pressure for showers.
Best to get there before dark. Driving up in the dark can be a little intense.

The home and view were absolutely amazing. The road being paved was a huge plus; these mountain roads are sketchy enough as it is. Having plenty of bed made a family of 7 with 2 kids sleep comfortably. Would definitely return in the future!

Cabin was beautiful, as was the view. This was a family trip consistent with two families ( total of 4 children 8-11yo).
We would stay at the property again. Only issue is that the outside trash cans were full upon arrival and there were bear sightings so we had to keep the trash inside. Along with the fact that there weren’t enough towels for everyone.

Cabin was perfect for our golf trip. Clean, well stocked and amazing views!

PLEASE NOTE: This rating would be higher if the air conditioning was functioning on the main level in the cabin. Unfortunately, my parents room were on the main floor. It would be difficult for them to use the stairs to access rooms on any other floors. It did get rather warm during the day and portions of the night which made that area slightly uncomfortable. I contacted guest services immediately on the day I arrived and I was informed someone would reach out. I contacted guest services again the next day b/c I never received an update. I was then informed that the local team was aware of the issue and I would receive an update. I never received any additional information and the issue was not resolved during my stay.
Outside of that one issue, the home was very beautiful with amazing views. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry room was equipped with everything we needed. There was enough space for 8 adults to sleep comfortably. Overall we had a very enjoyable time.
As mentioned in prior reviews the road leading to the cabin is very narrow and has a few sharp turns if you are not used to navigating through the mountains. I could imagine it would be very difficult to see at night so I would suggest that you plan to arrive while there is daylight.

I loved the location of the cabin. It’s gated for our peace and protection and the cabin itself was just perfect. Not to big and not to small. If we could, we would just live there. I know I kept saying it’s very peaceful up in the mountains, but to hear it from my own kids made me feel good knowing we picked a perfect spot! I hope we can be back again very soon!

Booked with Vacasa for a work trip and if I could go back in time and choose something else I would without a doubt. The cleanliness of this cabin was awful. One guest found their bedding to be unwashed and had bodily fluids on it from a past guest. There were dead bugs all over the cabin and live bugs flying around everywhere. The only thing that made this stay worth it was the view of the mountains but other than that it wasn't worth the stay.

Our stay was great, the views from the cabin were amazing. The cabin had everything our family needed. Clean and fresh sheets and towels.Did a lot of cooking and some baking.Kitchen was stocked pretty well with pots, pans, baking pans & sheets. Good supplies of spices except for salt and pepper. There were some issues with the gas grill having only one working burner and the awning didn’t not work ☹️ it would have made grilling so much easier and comfortable. Use the fire pit almost every single night we spend there We found firewood outside of Great Smoky Mountain Park for $5 a bundle😃

Great weekend with my husband and 2 other couples. Cabin had 360 views, just beautiful. Plenty of room for us to be together or apart. Cabin was so clean and had everything needed for us to cook or grill. About 15 minutes to Cherokee and 20 minutes to Bryson City

Our group of 6 stayed at this cabin last Nov for a week and loved it so much we booked another week this year. Big mistake. First off, the cabin is perfect and the views are absolutely stunning. However there were numerous issues this year. It was not stocked for 6 guests. Luckily we brought a lot of our own. The 3 tvs did not work downstairs. We called on Mon and Vacasa said they would send someone out on Tuesday. Nobody came so we called again Tues and they said someone would come out on Wed. Nobody came. Three kids in our group didn’t have tv or good wifi for the entire week. (basement rooms). No one ever came to fix them.
Cleanliness was a major issue this time.
There was a huge stain on the sheet upstairs and the white wash cloths were stained brown. We just went and bought wash cloths for the week. Dirty Q-tips on the bathroom floor. There was a dog that tore up the trash in the cans even with the cords pulled across them. We had to pick up trash in the driveway before we could leave. One of the two trash cans already had trash in it when we arrived. 6 people generate a lot of garbage and we didn’t have cans to use. We took the hoses out of the third and used it.
I really hate all the problems we had because I would book this cabin again if it was like it was the first time. The property managers are not doing their jobs. There is a hole in the basement ceiling that wasn’t there the year before.
Overall the cabin is a 10/10, the views are 10/10, the road up is steep but not too bad. We were on a ‘21 Tahoe not 4x4 and didn’t have any problems. 9/10

Spacious rooms, great beds, spectacular view, personally decorated, and well supplied with anything you could need.

This quaint cabin unfortunately had a massive hole and mold in the bottom floor. There was a hole in the ceiling which looked like a water leak and caused us to be short 2 beds because we were afraid the room would have mold growing in it. There was a black color around the leak. We reached out to Vacasa and they did not help at all. The roads leading up to the cabin are extremely winding and steep so be careful! Other than that, the cabin was fine. Good view.

I would definitely recommend and look forward to returning. Everything was clean and operational with the exception of the main floor AC unit. Vacasa had someone come out the next day to fix it. The view is stunning. As others stated, the drive to the house is steep and single lane but once you do it once it’s not that bad. There is plenty of bedding and towels. It was stocked really well. Wifi worked well, as well as the TV. Close to the casino and a lot of Cherokee Native American /Tribal land culture shopping.
Tips:
1. When entering there’s a really cute sign that cleverly request you don’t wear shoes in the house, so pack house slippers or socks and easy some easy slides/crocs if you’re going to going in and out.
2. Turn on the water when you come inside. The instructions are on the fridge at the time of this review.
3. Sound does travel very well in the house. White noise is helpful at night.
4. Traveling with kids under 2? The stairs are too wide for a standard lower priced baby gate.
5. Also, the Stairs are open under each step. Caution for tiny crawlers. Check lost toys before you leave.
6. There’s a Food Lion grocery store shopping center about 15 minutes away. This shopping center has everything you need.
7. Coming in late at night might be hard. Just remember to keep to the right, you’ll get there.
Suggestion to owner: retractable Baby gate on the stairs.

This house was great! The drive up the mountain can cause a little anxiety, but it is well worth the views once you reach the top. We did however run into a couple of issues once we got there. When we arrived the door to the cabin was wide open. Not sure if the cleaning crew forgot to close it after they left or what. The dishwasher was throwing an error so we had to was dished by hand. No big deal. We did report it to Vacasa and they said they were going to send someone out to fix it. Most of the trash cans were already full so it was a little challenging try to get all our trash in the bins. Makes sense though. I can't imagine trash being picked up every week.
None of that would stop me from going back. This house and the views are well worth it. The sunset over the mountain tops was perfect. 5 stars all day long.

It was a rough year for my family. My dad battling cancer has been a journey and we have gone through a lot together. We really needed this cabin to be a positive add to our much needed time together. It exceeded our expectations and more. Vacasa was great, but what made it all special was the owner’s personal touch into making sure this cabin felt like home. We found Christmas and hospitality in every corner! It was perfect and we are so grateful! My family and I will happily return.

My husband and I spent 3 nights with two other couples in this beautiful cabin. This cabin sits on the top of a mountain so the views on both sides are breathtaking. The home had everything we needed to relax and enjoy a relaxing and fun filled 3 nights. Wish we could of stayed longer and we will definitely return again

Pros: Great layout, very well stocked, great location to Harrah’s, amazing views, King beds are very comfortable, easy access, plenty of space, great parking, good outdoor seating, clean, very easy check in and out
Cons: Twin beds are awful. These need better mattresses and sturdy frames-Slept awful. Neighbors are very close- so we were worried about noise (check-in instructions says neighbors will complain and possibly call cops for loud noise) TV only worked in the living room.
Overall a great house and good if you plan to enjoy Harrah’s. If you are going for a mountain trip, I’d recommend one with a hot tub and a little more privacy.

Once you get past the steep mountain drive to reach the beautiful cabin, we had a wonderful family gathering with ample accommodations. We will return for other family getaways for sure.

We loved this cabin SO much! Everything was beautiful- the furnishings, the view! The drive up the mountain was a little terrifying but once you make it up it is well worth it! The house has a great layout with one bedroom upstairs, one bedroom on the main level, and two bedrooms on the bottom level.

We are a family of 6 and stayed for a week. Absolutely beautiful views and cozy cabin.
The road up is steep but not a problem. Our Tahoe made it just fine without 4 x 4.
We saw 3 bears, several elk, and turkeys during our trip around town.
5 stars all around. Stocked well and we even added a couple nights to our stay with just a phone call. Definitely will return.

This property has amazing view from all angles! The road is pretty sketchy to drive on to get to the house, but it is worth it. Be aware that the walls in the house are VERY thin. Guest upstairs can hear everything on all levels and vice versa. Also, one of the towels had dried up hair from the previous visitors. Other than these issue, the property is amazing!

Property was well maintained. Views from the house were absolutely beautiful.

We loved the view. It was well worth the climb up the mountain to be able to see it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. The cabin was beyond well-equipped with whatever you might need. Beds were comfy and all the towels you could ever need. We enjoyed the cabin and all the options for outdoor activities within a reasonable travel distance. We would definitely recommend Big Sky Cabin.

Cabin was amazing with an amazing view
The cabin was amazing and so was the view great place for family time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Well equipped with all essentials the only negative experience that we encountered was that there seemed to be a takeover of 🐞 ladybugs 🐞 we aren’t exactly city people that are intolerant to wildlife but there seemed to be an excess amount of them flying around during dinner time

Wonderful stay
Property was beautiful. The house could have used a deeper cleaning but surface was good. Need to get under couches. And need an exterminator because there were a lot of lady bugs. Need to purge the kitchen. Less is more. Decor could use some updating. But overall it was very nice.

Best setting I’ve seen.
The house was large and inviting - with a Christmas tree!!!! The kitchen was great. We had come up to do a belated Thanksgiving with my daughter & her husband. So a spacious kitchen was necessary for 5 people to cook in. Couldn’t have picked a better place for our getaway.

Amazing View
Awesome cabin perfect for multiple families as each floor (3) has its own bathroom. The view from the cabin was amazing. Probably best I have ever seen.
Drive up is pretty steep and twisted, but paved all the way. 2 wheel drive was fine as there was no ice or snow.
Only negative was there were some bugs. Lots of ladybugs especially.
Great stay and would stay again.

Mini Family Reunion
We had such a good time with our family. We loved hanging out at night by the fire. There were 2 bee nests that needed to be taken care of as they were new ones, but overall it was awesome views. The kitchen was supplied with what we needed and we didn't have any problems with the grill. We didn't want to leave.
