This is the second time we have stayed at this condo. Cissi is a great host and communicates completely and is quick if there are any issues. The condo is comfortable, great pool, short walk to the beach. We always go to Katie's fish market and cook because we have a dog. . Works out great!

This was our fourth stay in the same condo. Great pool and family friendly place for kids and pets. The elevators are abysmal but overall we will be back.

Really didn’t stay in room that much just to sleep, we only stayed 2 nights. Went on a fishing trip. The pool area look really nice but didn’t to hang out.

From the time we goot there went out on rhe balcony could see the beach and the waves roll in.It was a wonderful time had our choice of pools which were both below the condo.And we had a wonderful vacation.

We got to Galveston as the first tropical storm of the season was coming, but that didn’t stop us from having fun. Our third day was spent in the condo and it was a comfortable place to sit and watch the rain and wind through the wonderful sliding door windows. The view was beautiful over the pool and then the water beyond.
We had one snag as we arrived but Cissi took care of it quickly. We frequently went from beach to pools. The shower by the pools was strong enough to get sand off so we didn’t have to change. The condo is west enough and set back enough from Seawall, you can’t hear all the crazy noise.

Are family of 4 plus a family friend spent the weekend here. The communication from the property owners was fantastic. Everything was as expected. While I wasn't thrilled with having to pay for parking, I was happy to see that the courtesy "officer" took his job seriously and walked the property to ensure safety. So, if that fee helps pays his salary, I'm good. If you plan to cook, I advise that you bring your own spices (which we did).

The condo fit our family of 8 perfectly. The heated pool was nice since the ocean water was chilly. The location was great. It was at the end of the seawall, so we did not get caught in all of the traffic that you typically find in Babe’s Beach area. This was super nice because we could easily drive to the beach and still find parking! Clean, straightforward condo. My kids can’t wait to come back!

Our stay was amazing. The property was well kept and the owner very sweet. She allowed an early check in on Friday and a late check out on Sunday. The apartment was spacious and fit the 7 of us very well. The kids took full advantage of the heated pool!

Cissi, the owner, is wonderful with hospitality and communication. We flew in from B.C., Canada and she offered extras to make our stay extra convenient. The condo itself is older and really needs a good deep cleaning and declutter. There are cleaning supplies to utilize and we did use them when we arrived. We do not have a dog any longer so we did not like dog hair on our clothes from sitting on the couch and beds. The heated pool was good and access to walk the beach was right across the street. The newer bowling alley was a highlight.

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. There were 7 of us and plenty of room. The master has a queen bed, the 2nd bedroom has 2 double beds and there are 2 bunk beds in an alcove. An added bonus was the 2 toilet rooms. The pools were a nice bonus and it is right across from Sewall Beach.
Other reviewers said to take extra toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags, which we did and were thankful for.
The host was very communicative and sent us info on festivals happening in the area.
We would stay here again.

Was unaware of ongoing renovations at the check in office, but it didn’t have any affect on our plans! Hope there are upgrades planned for the middle elevator. We weren’t too excited the a/c was off upon arrival. (Mid August 5pm). It took quite awhile to cool down. Overall enjoyed our stay. Yes would come back!

First off; Cissi was great through and through.
We had an issue with our Credit Card payment (long story short, our credit card company disputed our payment for this property, which wasn't what we wanted to do) and Cissi was patient, understanding, and worked with us to get it all sorted out. She even texted us during our stay to let us know where the extra cleaning supplies/trash bags were kept and to let us know of a Jellyfish warning on the beach.
The condo unit was great. It was just as described on the listing. Everything worked like it was suppose to. We didn't have any issues.
The condo property was nice too. They crew was out every morning cleaning the pool and grounds. They were also constantly maintaining the property; from painting to changing light bulbs and everything in between.
We would definitely stay at this condo again when we visit Galveston again.

Great place! Perfect for our family if 5. The patio was great. Communication with owner was spot on. Her recommendations for things to do and places to eat were excellent. Grounds crew/maintenance team are constantly working on improvements. And location to beach and grocery store was perfect.

Property is under construction. Outside the building is worn out. stairs and railings are in need of repair and replacement. Elevators work sometimes and need repair. Mosquitoes are terrible downstairs in pool areas and ground floor. The property is beach front with a beautiful view. The condo was clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay even throu gh we couldnt use the pool area. We were swarmed with Mosquitoes even with OFF...

Lovely property with beautifully kept grounds and three pools. Great for families with little ones who need to burn off some energy. We had a great time walking on the beach and playing in the surf, and it's just down the way (a short drive) from Gaido's and other great seafood spots. Host's recommendations for restaurants were stellar, and the place is appointed nicely. Loved the paintings in the master bedroom. Big deck with ample seating, perfect for morning coffee or drinks in the evening. I also left my backpack there and she was kind enough to make the space available to me to pick it up an entire day after checkout. Very kind and responsive host. Hope to come back sometime! Love Galveston.

I will say, the host was easy to get a hold of and very responsive, and did handle some issues we had w/ the replacement key needed, however the whole process was VERY frustrating and made in/out of the condo difficult. Then toward the end of the week the air conditioner quit working. Again she was quick to address, however after getting fixed made sure to tell me exactly how much she had to pay, etc and went on about the inconvenience of getting repaired.
The condo itself was as described, but was VERY limited in what was available in the condo. For example; there was no broom…and when eating meals w/ two small children a broom for meal clean up is ESSENTIAL. There were also no beach towels/chairs, which at minimum towels should be provided when located across street from the beach. The furniture/appliances were VERY out dated and old. The dish/cable for TV worked 20% of the time, which left Netflix as the only option for television (not a smart tv, unable to use other streaming services).
The Maravilla complex where the condo is located is run down and not kept up well at all. The gym listed is in horrendous state, dirty and w 75% of equipment not functioning. My girls loved the pools/hot tub; but they were pretty filthy as well…thankfully kids do care so much :)
All in all, this condo needs some MAJOR renovation/updating. I have stayed in ALOT of places, and this was def the worst experience :(

I really enjoy going to Maravilla. I got to see some other condos on the property and they are all set up nicely. All of our group enjoyed where they stayed including us. We really enjoyed the pools. Our Condo was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Cissi was very helpful prior to the visit and responsive upon check in. The view was good, as described. The balcony was large. The resort pool area was lovely but first appearances not so. I knew there were balcony updates occurring at others building but wow, it was intensive!
The unit itself however was a huge disappointment, in dire need of updates especially the half baths. We learned from one of the residents that the resort was built in 1985 and the unit looked it. The floors looked to be the only update with the exception of wall painting. The kitchen cabinets wouldn’t stay on tact/close, the one over the refrigerator was crookedly cut to make room for the frig. Some of the small appliances looked to be over 20 years old, there was no lid for the crockpot. The combo exhaust vent/light in the half baths were so loud that we couldn’t use them until everyone was out of bed.
Before booking I asked if the unit was wheelchair accessible since one of our group is confined to a wheelchair. I was assured that it was. Upon arrival we found that it was NOT. The bedroom and bathroom doors were way to small for a wheelchair to fit (ADA specifications are 32” door opens for wheelchairs). Luckily we had another unit with a different owner (a much nicer unit) that did work for her wheelchair. This required allot of repacking and unpacking for several of us to make the switch.
Cissi is a very nice host but I would not book this unit again.

This property is one of our favorites in Galveston. Very clean, tons of amenities, and close to everything you’d want to do in Galveston. Host was super friendly and helpful. Host was Easy to get in touch with and great at communication. Will definitely be staying here again.

We had a great time. The condo was nice and had most of what we needed to make meals. The pool was great and the beach was right across the street. We enjoyed being away from the heart of seawall area where it is so crowded. A few things need updates in terms of cook and prep ware, but would definitely come back and stay longer
