Friendliness of staff. Comfort of room and location.
Price is going up and up with each visit. I visit the Ferry about 3 times a year to meet up with friends. All I need is a bed for the night. No breakfast , lunch or dinner required. Would be good if they did a loyalty card.

I have stayed several times in the past and “The Fish “ is always great value for Money and the Staff could not be more helpful. Will definitely stay again. John and Penny from Northern Ireland

breakfast was fairly basic - though really good value and served with a smile.

3.5
it was exceptionally clean and comfortable and ideally located
the windows of the room we were in were covered in some sort of stuff to obscure the windows to those outside (room 3 looking over the area where bins were at back) so no direct view to the outside. due to social distancing guidelines being abolished there was no social distancing whatsoever in what became an extremely busy bar downstairs. people were literally packed in shoulder to shoulder, no masks or anything to the extent that movement became next to impossible. had a table booked for a meal but that ended up not happening as the area was packed full of drinkers and the small table offered was right next to the bandit which was surrounded by drinkers hanging over it and it was so noisy I couldn’t even hear normal speech. not a place for comfortable dining, so we left without eating. I would also question the quality of the breakfast items with the Lorne sausage not being cooked properly.
also the room had a bath with a shower over it but no handrail of any kind on either the bath or wall and you had to request a bath mat if you needed one from downstairs as it was not provided in the room.

Location is great, right beside the water, other pubs and local shops. Great atmosphere in evenings, good bar lunch and dinner. Room was comfortable and spacious. Broughty Ferry Beach is only a short and scenic walk away.
Even though the pub food is excellent, the breakfast was disappointing and not fitting rest of experience. The menu is very limited, not well executed, no options for vegetarians and only filtered coffee.
4.5
Breakfast was delicious and well presented
Location of accommodation suited us perfectly- a very short walk to the shore and the main centre
A few more tea bags for an extra cuppa!
Otherwise we were very pleased with the accommodation and food
4.0
location for access to broughty ferry
comfortable beds and tea/coffee in room
parking can be an issue and unfortunately we got a disabled room

The Fisherman's is a gem of a hotel, in the most perfect location. I wish I had discovered it sooner! I can't wait to come back.

Very nice hotel pub excellent food and extremely nice staff. Very well situated for everything in Broughty Ferry. Had several visits and enjoyed our breaks. Very clean and well kept rooms. Just a stone throw from the beach. .
Would perhaps benefit from a larger dining area for residents. But this was New Year and we were seated in the bar opposite toilet corridor entrance which was busy.

Great location we loved it and will definitely be back

Great location by the Tay estuary, very cosy, atmospheric building, brilliant staff, all friendly and helpful. Food very good and fairly priced. Live music evening a great bonus which persuaded me to stay an extra night.
Street parking only, difficult to park close to the pub. However only a short walk to additional street parking spaces.
