Wonderful Cottage for a relaxing get away

Fabulous cottage with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Very homely and cosy. Beds were very comfy. Nice garden to sit in. In the garden is a Shepherds Hut which small occupants would really enjoy. Easy to walk to the river where we did an early evening tour on the Solar Heritage boat. Ship Pub is just down the road. We visited Weald & Downland Museum (where the Repair Shop is filmed) which was very interesting with all the houses that have been reconstructed. Stansted House also very nice with a lovely lunch at the Pavilion. Bosham is delightful with a great lunch at The Millstream.

Wi-fi a bit hit & miss but OK outside by the gate. Just need to note that stairs to the twin room upstairs (not shown on the site) are very steep. No problem for children or if you are fit.

Exceptional

Layout really good. Beds very comfortable. Very close to pub and harbour. All the basic appliances and kitchenware available. Very well organised and lovely touches 👌

Nothing we didn't like. could benefit from having a hoover or sweeper to keep on top of thins whilst in residence.

The cottage was beautiful and location fantastic. Everything was so clean and comfortable and the garden was lovely.

Exceptional

Absolutely gorgeous! Very cleverly designed, tasteful and cosy. Everything is highly functional and comfortable: starting with shower cabin ending with high quality mattresses and duvets. Children were extatic about the shepherd's hut and a vintage doll house. Loved the mini-library with some excellent books! The location is just dreamy. The maps with some stunning walks are provided. All in all an absolute gem! Book now!

Perfect little cottage in a beautiful location

The location is excellent, right by the coast. The cottage is lovely, the owners have thought of everything you might need and we’re always on hand if needed. The place is modern and comfortable and even has a cute little garden. It was perfect for our long weekend.

The cleaners didn’t clean the fridge properly and it stank of fish! Sure this is a one off as the rest of the property was spotless. We didn’t bother telling the owners but sure they would have fixed it if we did.

Location was good for our needs. Good clean, comfortable accommodation.

No freezer (or even ice box in fridge) If self catering this is needed. Mugs in cupboard very stained. WiFi not good if you depend on it.

Idyllic location

Had everything we needed, plenty of room for family of 4. Lovely building, facilities and location.

We're informed in advance that no towels would be available, which was OK but inconvenient. Numerous calls from host as part of booking. Would prefer if was cleaner.

Weekend with friends

A lovely, cosy annexe and perfect for weekend with good friends. Cathy Brian and Peter are very welcoming and helpful hosts. We had everything we needed, beds were comfortable and there was the cutest shepherds hut in the garden. The harbour is a very short walk away, where we took the ferry to Bosham to enjoy a beautiful walk and explore the pretty village. Definitely recommend.

Delightful cottage, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Shepard’s hut was a nice touch in a secluded garden. Itchenor harbour is a busy and interesting harbour only a few hundred yards down the road.

Really good. Lovely clean, well furnished and functional accomodation in an excellent location.

The access stairs to the upstairs / attic bedroom very steep. Not a problem for us personally but could be so for older people or people with mobility issues.

Very comfortable. Airy and spacious. Great location

It is advertised as a 2 bedroomed property but the 2nd Bedroom is in the loft and only accessible via extremely steep staircase. Any person wanting to use this bedroom has to sign a disclaimer. Even advised by owner to come down backwards for safety. There is no mention of this prior to booking. No photos shown.

We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The location was beautiful near to the harbour but not too busy when we were there mid week. The cottage annexe was charming and beautifully appointed and had everything which we required. The small garden was pretty and quiet with the addition of a cosy equipped shepherds hut.

Very Happy thank you

Our Hosts were charming and helpful. The cottage was just what we were looking for. There are some wonderful walks and the harbour is a few minutes walk from the property where you can sit and watch the boats, the tide and the wildlife . Excellent local pub in the village.
