About this house rental
'Maison Sept' is a spacious early 17th century French townhouse, located in the historic centre of Uzès. It is approximately 100 steps to the Place aux Herbes, the lively central hub of Uzès – a beautiful large square filled with plane trees, a fountain and wonderful shops and outdoor cafes. It is also the location of the twice weekly morning market where you can stock up on local produce, cheeses, meats, flowers, spices, and regional crafts.
Maison Sept is located on a narrow, cobbled medieval street, lined with town houses on both sides. There is an art gallery right across the street, and just a few doors down, a bakery - essential for those morning croissants. Two doors down on our side is a lovely inn with a wonderful restaurant.
You can enter Maison Sept through two doorways, one directly into the kitchen, a typical south of France entrance, and the other into a foyer at the side of the house. The house dates from the very beginning of the 17th century. Over the years it has been an inn twice, and has housed amongst its various occupants, a notary, a doctor and a maker of stockings. It has been expanded over the centuries and has been meticulously restored, combining ancient details with all the modern conveniences. It is an extremely comfortable and easy house to live in.
The kitchen is well stocked and modern, and contains all the requirements, whether you like to just make coffee, or cook elaborate gourmet meals. There is a gas cook top, electric wall oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave oven, blender and food processor, nice stainless steel All Clad cookware and several types of coffee makers (we know what’s important!).
At the back of the house, the living room opens onto a private walled terrace. It is cool and shady in the heat of summer, a private oasis where you can have breakfast or a lovely al fresco dinner.
An ancient stone spiral staircase winds its way through the 4 stories of the house. There are four bedrooms, two with queen beds, one with a double bed, and one with a pair of twin beds. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the rooms are furnished with French antiques and antique tribal carpets. Two of the bedrooms have balconies that open onto the courtyard below. There are two full bathrooms and a powder room.
On the third floor you can unwind in the family room, equipped with internet TV and DVD player. Off this room is a mezzanine that serves as an office and is set up with wireless Internet. You have use of the full laundry room, with both a washer and dryer. You are welcome to use the unlimited long distance telephone service to many countries worldwide.
Uzes is a beautiful, magical town to explore and enjoy. It is also a wonderful base from which to explore the region. There are many wonderful Languedoc and Provence destinations within a short day trip drive. We would strongly encourage you to plan your stay to start on Friday or earlier in the week, if possible, so that you can be here to experience the market on Saturday morning. It is one of the most extensive markets in the south of France, and a lovely experience.

Comfortable, lovely home in a beautiful town. We loved exploring Uzes and going to the markets, as well as traveling the area in all directions. This region of France is beautiful and interesting historically, geologically, culturally, and agriculturally. We spent two weeks and every day was unique and wonderful.

The house was immaculate, very tastefully decorated and in an excellent location just a minutes walk to Place aux Herbes (the city centre) where many people gather and where many restaurants are located. The owners of the property did everything to facilitate our unique requirements. Uzès is a fabulous place to visit and this property is ideal for a family. Highly recommended. Daniel Mayer

Loved this home and town!
As the title suggests, we loved this property and the town of Uzes itself. Natalka's home is centrally located in Uzes just outside of the town center and, most importantly, is located just across from the best boulangerie and around the corner from the best patisserie in town. The home itself is well furnished and the beds were all comfortable. Our stay was during a sweltering late June but you wouldn't have been able to tell because the stone walls kept everything cool and the AC worked great.
The town of Uzes itself is a gem. We visited with our four children and were able to find so much to do with them during the stay. The town has great restaurants (including the one Michelin star La Table d'Uzes) and is near to many great places to visit such as Avignon or Pont du Gard (where the kids could swim and go looking for nature). Our pictures of the kids running through lavender fields are some of my favorite of all time!
Finally, Natalka and Annick were super helpful during the stay and were also very responsive whenever we had questions. All in all, this was an amazing stay and we cannot wait to visit Uzes again!

The perfect house in Uzès
This delightful house is located on a quiet pedestrian street just a short walk from shops, and restaurants and the twice-weekly market in Place aux Herbes. We were five people and found plenty of space in the sitting rooms and bedrooms. All went exceptionally well. Cooking was easy in the well-equipped kitchen and each morning we would go to the bakery just up the street for the best croissants and a baguette.
The house is well heated, wired and plumbed. It is thoughtfully furnished and decorated. Many detailed guidebooks and instructions left us with no questions about what to do or how to do it!
For our March visit free street parking was available a short walk from the house. There are many ‘payable’ spaces nearby as well.
We cannot recommend this house strongly enough and we would definitely go back.

Lovely stay in Uzes
This is a beautiful home, very close to the center of town on a quiet street off the main boulevard. The living area on the first level is warm and welcoming, and the kitchen is well equipped. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The Owner and the House Manager were wonderful and extremely responsive. We enjoyed our stay at Maison Sept very much, and we would definitely like to stay here again ....perhaps for more than one week next time!

Wonderful week in Provence
We absolutely fell in love with this townhouse and this town. The townhouse is perfectly situated walking distance to all of the local sights and restaurants. It is very comfortable and well appointed. It has been very tastefully decorated with a modern kitchen and bathroom. We found the owner as well as the property manager to be helpful and accessible before and during our trip. We would highly recommend this rental without hesitation.

Beautiful home in Uzes
This was the perfect space for our South of experience. The home was everything we expected and more and comfortably accommodated 6 adults. There was so much to do in Uzes (or nothing) and we enjoyed the walks to other small nearby towns. Annalise was great to deal with and provided us with local information. Will definitely stay again when next time in France!!

Delightful
It was wonderful to return to this delightful house in the charming Roman city of Uzes. Going to my favorite bakeries and restaurants was like visiting old friends. A house well cared for and a kitchen that practically begs you to cook some of the fantastic market offerings. A true french experience!

Wonderful property in great location.
We have stayed in this property before and loved it. Great location and very well maintained.
Our only issue this time was US! Our knees have reached a point where the circular staircase and four floors was a bit more that we could comfortablly deal with, so if you have these old people issues, think twice.

Elegant, welcoming and conveniently situated
From the terrace off the living room which offers outdoor dining, to the cozy reading room above the second floor lounge, this lovely, 17th century house will charm you! There were three of us here for one week. We loved our rooms with comfortable beds and luxurious bedding, large bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, even a little video library! With a wonderful bakery just across the street, I was in heaven.

Beautiful house, fabulous location.
We stayed at le Sept for two weeks in April (four adults, one nine-year-old), and enjoyed it tremendously. The entire house is decorate with great charm, and is very comfortable. The kitchen is exceptionally well-stocked with high quality pans, knives and small appliances, which was highly appreciated when we cooked at home. For two families, the separation between the first living room and a separate large living area on the top floor was super.
The is no parking at the house, but we had no problems finding spots nearby.
This is truly one of the nicest streets in a beautiful town, and is only a few steps to the Place Aux Herbes and the primary shopping areas within Uzes.
Many thanks to Annick and Olivier, who made everything very easy for us.
We would not hesitate to recommend this location for anyone interested in staying in the Uzege area.

Bliss in Uzes
This home was perfection in a beautiful town in Provence. Full of character and appointed with love. We were a family of three adult couples and were well catered for with two bathrooms, two lounges and a well supplied kitchen/dining room. An historic building, it is filled with light and warmth. Very tastefully decorated, very French and very comfortable. The street is quiet and private, and joins the main road that encircles the town, full of cafes, boulangeries and boutiques. Just steps away are restaurants and a lovely bakery just on the corner. We could not have been happier and will remember our time there with real affection.

Beautifully finished stone town house. Very responsive owner and also the charming manager Annick
The house is beautiful, with thick original stone ,slightly scary spiral stairs in raw stone- but I would wish for much sturdier handrails ! The very top handrail was broken , and that was a safety concern. The fourth bed room was tiny for two beds, and ventilation from the window risked banging your head if you sat up in bed on one side.
However- the other three bedrooms, plus two lounges were lovely, and very beautifully decorated with furniture that befitted the style of the house. There is a modern kitchen( though we only used the microwave and fridge) and lots of pots and dishes. It is right in the charming town of Uzes, but down a side street so it is not noisy. Wonderful house to stay in for 6-8 people. The owner is very responsive to emails, and the manageress Annick is charming and helpful. We loved it!

Very happy traveler!
This is a fabulous home in a peaceful location and yet just minutes away from probably the prettiest square of any town in France we have ever been in. Uzes is a delight and so is this house. It is beautifully furnished, very comfortable and well equipped. The owners are extremely helpful and we spent many wonderful days on their recommended trips. Go, enjoy and be inspired by this gorgeous house in a perfect location.

Quiet in the middle of the action!
This home is set up perfectly for those who want to stay put or take day trips into the area. We were 2 couples who love to travel together but love our privacy. This home and location worked quite well! We took some day trips (Pont du Garde and Nimes) and also just wandered in the town and sketched and painted. Or napped. The house is very well equipped. We were talking about returning long before we left!
