Nothing as we did not stay
The booking said 2 beds as I had my baby with us and we needed more space. The owner wouldn’t honor that. She was extremely rude about it and said we have to take what she offered or nothing and told us we had cancelled the booking even though I’d corresponded with her regarding cancelling another room and that we wanted to keep one as I’d mistakenly booked 2 which she replied “ok” to. We asked for a refund as I didn’t wish to spend my money somewhere with an owner like that.

Great location close to ferry port and near the Central square.
Very hot room that didn't cool down for sleeping. Only had fan in room. We had to keep the windows open all night and there was alot of noise from outside from 2 different pubs that stayed open until 1am. Poor shower pressure.

The guy who checked me in was nice enough.
It was all pretty disgusting. The sheets looked like there was a small blood stain in the corner. The towel had similar stains in at least three places. The pillows were old and stained with black streaks running along them. There were ants all over the ground, and gnats or fruit flies crawling all over my sheets and pillow. I found a cockroach dead in the shower. This is the first time I have ever done this, but I just ate the money and left before bedtime. I tried to work up the nerve to stay there and spent a considerable time in the room before ultimately leaving, but I just couldn’t bring myself to sleep in that bed with dozens of bugs crawling on the sheets. I tried to kill them all, but they kept coming back. When I complained to the owner, he just told me to close the windows and blinds, even though the windows were open, it was too hot to close the windows, and the place was already crawling with bugs when I walked in. Suggestion: put screens on the windows, if that’s the solution.

The bed was comfortable and the location was great. The owner was very helpful too.
It was a little run down and the walls of the rooms need a bit of a scrub and a paint, but otherwise it was perfectly fine.

The owner was extremely helpful, and stored my bag overnight when I took the boat to El Castillo.
It's basically what you expect for a tropical cheap budget hostel. The wifi was good. The place was medium clean, which wouldn't be clean enough for some people. I didn't like that moisture made the floor slightly slippery.

It's what I would expect for the price. No frills but functional. Totally fine for a night in San Carlos, very close to the bus station and the lake. Would recommend.

The location is close to the malecon and river with beautiful birds. Close to bus station and port and shops.Close to ATM.
The bathroom is very small and when you sit on the toilet your knees hit the wall. Dont lean on the sink!
The last day wifi code was changed and he dident give the new password.
