Thank you Acorn for taking care of me. I will recommend your place to others.

I loved my room but sadly it was up several flights of stairs and I needed help with my suitcase. There was no breakfast which was unfortunate. They didn't advertise breakfast so I did know when I arrived that I would have to find places to eat. The staff were very pleasant, patient, and helpful. The location was perfect, close to town without being in the middle of it, and on good bus routes.

I wish I could have been on a lower floor but that's not Acorn's fault. I injured myself a little earlier in my trip and needed unexpectant assistance.

In all, we had a really nice time at the Acorn Guest House.

Cozy and comfortable. On a very nice street near many cafes & pubs. Easy bus ride to town.

The room had a low ceiling in the path to the bathroom where we bumped our heads a few times. At check- in, we had the wrong pin for our room key, and then we were assigned to the wrong room. It all got sorted out, but it took a little while to reach someone who could help us.

A long weekend in Oxford.

I loved my room. It was airy and bright. Very clean too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very convenient for all my needs.

Good location easy to walk into city centre or bus stop very close if preferred. Quiet and very clean. Response to email/ queries very prompt

Fridge in room very noisy however there was a communal fridge in the shared kitchen

Little gem.

Warm comfortable and quiet. Great bathroom. Close enough to walk in to Oxford. Excellent kitchen with everything required to make your meal.

Nice overnight stay having had an easy walk back from the theatre

parking onsite really thick blackout curtains in room 5 lovely powerful shower in good size cubicle

didn’t receive access email so needed to phone but access query answered v effectively extractor fan in bathroom needed cleaning

great location great value for money

it was in a great position for bus routes into Oxford city centre the room was spacious and comfortable and facilities were fully available considering the current pandemic, there are shops just down the road for provisions and the owner was very kind and friendly. I would stay again ☺️

Great!

Spotlessly clean room and very comfortable bed. Our room was a little noisy from the road as it was at the front of the house, but that was stated when I booked so it was expected. Very close to the town centre, we hopped on a bus and it only took 5 mins 👍 will definitely stay again if back in Oxford :)

Excellent value for money

Really clean & spacious room, located within walking distance of the city centre but electric scooters/bus were available for a quicker journey. Seemed liked a nice enough area too. Room was well kitted out with lots of useful features including a mini fridge. Didn't use any of the communal areas but they looked nice. Would definitely stay again if travelling to Oxford.

The only negative I could give is that, personally, I didn't find the bed very comfortable as it was too soft for my taste. I'm sure some others would like it though.

Good location, very peaceful. Room clean and comfortable. Didn’t see any staff hence rating but that didn’t matter as there were clear instructions for the stay.

Fridge in room didn’t get cold enough to keep milk- you have to provide yourself - cool. More choice for self service breakfast would have been nice.

The lack of parking if you cannot get a space on the front is a problem, around the surrounding area it is permits only so please be aware . Very old school room A5 but enough for what we needed - lack of Air Conway an issue on the hottest weekend of the year but was supplied a fan. Lady owner lovely .

Comfortable and good location

Nice quiet location. Just down the road from a Co-op, a bus stop, and the Magdalen Arms pub. Short bus journey into town, with lots of bookshops, museums, and restaurants, as well as bus routes to Blenheim Palace. The staff there were very quick to reply when I had a question. Collecting the keys was quick, convenient and secure. There was free wi-fi. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was surprisingly roomy. We had a lovely view of the garden. There was also a portable fan which was very useful in the hot weather.

A delightful old house, very well appointed and fitted out, in a convenient location.
