Happy Galway family

Everything we needed was in the apt even tea & coffee. Central location very handy for pubs & Aldi. Kids had their own bed happy kids.

Lovely place for a short stay

Excellent location, comfy living area and well stocked kitchen. Lots of toys available for kids

Great place to stay in Donegal Town

Esker house is very comfortable, quiet, clean and just a couple of minutes walk to town, perfect location!

Esker House and Donegal lived up to all our expectations!

Our host, Edel, had provided me with very clear instructions ahead, and promptly answered my call with how to access the lock box for keys. She arrived on site soon after, went through how to use appliances and shower, and came back with a bag of sugar. This apartment is a quick walk away from central Donegal town, which is packed with shops, restaurants, and pubs - some with live traditional music. You pass the Donegal Castle, open for self guided tours. There's also a nice playground just around the corner. There are a couple of bigger grocery stores within a 20 minute walk. And although so close to the action, it is a very quiet small neighborhood. Edel suggested the Donegal Waterbus tour of the harbor which we enjoyed.

Being American, there is a steep learning curve for appliances and showers! After some trial and error we got the hang of turning on the power to the outlets and pulling the cord to turn on the shower control. Labels on the major outlets would be nice. We accidentally turned the power off to the refrigerator overnight! Speaking of, it is a small hotel room size fridge. Although plenty of dishes and eating utensils for our group of 6, cooking utensils were limited.Be aware, this is an upstairs apartment, over Edel's optometry office, and there are steep staircases to access the living area.

Had booked for a 2 night stay but left after 1 night.

Mobile phone numbers provided by host did not connect. Stress levels increased due to this. Tried continually to establish contact without success. not a great start to our stay. Explanation offered by host was poor connectivity.

Photos on site did not match actual furnishings. Mis match bedding made apartment feel more like a hostel.

Superb

It was big enough for 3 of us. We each had our own room. Comfortable beds warm,cosy We likeed everything .about it The price was brilliant.. Everything was on our doorstep . Great restaurants etc. We highly recommend Esker House.

Everything in the house was perfect. The house is spacious with modern equipments. The landlords were so nice and supportive. We had a great time in Donegal and will surely rent this house again for our next visit

The location as perfect

We where not able to use the main shower and the En Suite shower at the same time, and there was no mirrors in the the 2 bedrooms on the first floor for the ladies to dry there hair.

This is an ideal place for a family or group of friends to stay.

The accommodation is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. It was extremely comfortable and spacious. The hosts were very welcoming and obliging. Everything we needed was supplied. I highly recommend this as a place to stay.

The only small issue was that the beds are a bit too soft. Everything else was great.

Great location house comfortable

More new kitchen stuff like saucepans and pans for cooking because of covid we ate in so things like that would be helpful at the present situation Showers could do with being sorted and a non slip mat put into both showers Maybe a few new additions to seated area in kitchen as we could not get rte stations on it New towels and more of them six people need a lot of towels Our stay was good and we would come back definitely Hopefully you will take our comments on board
