Introducing Ahoy Matey 102PB. This community is just outside the center of Port Aransas. It offers a fabulous slope entry pool, close to many of the restaurants, bars and shops that Port Aransas has to offer. This single story condo has two King suites, both with king size beds and full ensuite bath. The kitchen has everything you will need to cook your catch of the day. The colorful décor and exterior are a perfect compliment to a wonderful weekend or week in this condo. The condo offers 3 TV's and 3 DVD players. There is also an electronic fireplace in the living room. This unit is not pet friendly and smoking is permitted outside only. This is not a golf cart accessible property. Sorry, no pets allowed. There is parking for 3 cars max per the HOA. Any additional cars will be towed per the HOA. Come, Relax and Enjoy!!

Cute little cottage on the not so busy side of town..there were pros and cons to this .. No golf carts are allowed on this side ,therefore we were pretty disappointed that getting a cart rental would have been useless. and we were about 2 miles to most all the things to do which was nice for traffic but not so great cause we had to drive everywhere . Also BYOB!! Bring your own blankets! With sharing the place with another couple we had to turn the ac down at night and I froze every night. All they provide you with is an extremely thin cover and sheet . No extra blankets or even a throw are available. I called to see if I could get one sent to us but they said no. They had no extras . So just know if you get cold at night to bring more blankets with you. Also the bed needs a mattress pad as it’s pretty uncomfortable as well. Also , Can’t hardly use the pools. They don’t lock them up so every day we were there both were full with huge groups that came over from the hotel next door and from the adjacent beach homes in the area and they stayed at the main pool till at least midnight each night (even though they supposed to shut down by 11) ..I’m just glad we were not right by that main one as they played super loud rap music each night . Also no view of anything as the porch is in the coridoor ..Other than these things , everything else was good , updated and clean.

This condo was perfect for our quick trip to the coast. There are two bedrooms with King size beds and both had an adjoining bathroom with shower, etc. The location is just inside the complex and parking was very convenient. The pool is just a few short steps from the condo and was a nice place to hang out after a day at the beach. The location is close to the beach and next to a Valero gas station which was convenient for snacks and ice. We have no complaints! The only staff I interacted with was the maintenance guy and he was very nice and helpful! Overall great place to stay!

Family of 4 (kids 15 & 11) on a short weekend trip. We had family with an RV parked on the beach so we just needed a place to sleep. This place was roomy and clean. Short drive to beach. The only complaints we had were… tv remotes in bedrooms and plugs in master bedroom did not work and the beds were not the most comfortable .

Relaxing place in good location. Not suitable for golf carts because there are no legal places to cross highway. Glad there were multiple swimming pools, with one larger one that includes a jungle gym. I put in several maintenance requests on Hospitality app with "Don't fix until after I leave" setting selected but they came anyway almost ruining baby's nap time so I hope they get that straightened out. Had an issue with non-guests parking in our reserved spots, towing company and management could each not do anything about it alone but they had to both be present in order to tow vehicles out of our spots.

Received a text from PA Escapes the day of check in stating we'd get a text when our room was ready. Check in are at 4pm but in case the house was ready before they would notify. At 3:45pm I called to get status on the house. Lady said check in is at 4pm and to wait for their text for instructions. I called back at 4:45 & same lady said to go pick up keys & their office closed at 5pm. I told her I had been waiting for their text & said she no, this house we rented has physical keys. No code through a text. If this was the case, we could have gone to the office at 4pm to get keys and get checked in. What if I hadn't called at 4:45pm before they closed? Would they have called me and been proactive to let me know to get the keys from their night drop box? The entire check in process was a mess, unorganized, & no communications on PA Escapes part. I had to continue to call & received incorrect info each time.

I have been promising my teenage daughter we would go to the beach, but with many circumstances out of our control it didn’t seem it would happen. We finally had a break and even with Covid I found a condo that would allow us to book two nights (Thank you Port A Escapes) and off we went.
The trip over was quiet and the staff at PAEs were awesome. The condo was clean and had enough items to make us comfortable besides needing a blanket. Which I went and bought at a local store. The only problem we had was the mattresses were hard as rocks and very uncomfortable. My daughter finally moved to the couch. I would not book this condo again just for that reason.
Pools and the grounds were very well kept. Everyone we met (even at a six foot distance) were very nice. We felt very safe on the grounds. Check out was easy and again the staff especially Harry were awesome

Annual Trip
The Property was beautiful and perfect for our family. The only negative I’d say would be the clientele of people there at the property, lots of teenagers running around with bad language and inappropriate conversations had in front of our children and the community pool. The atmosphere was beautiful and very relaxing.

-Close to the town center, marina, and beach (all within driving distance but not walkable for small children).
-The pool area on the property is nice, and has a grill available to use.
-Two parking spaces, air conditioned, washer & dryer, very private.
-Wifi works well.
-Updated fixtures and decor, nice kitchen (we used it a lot), wicker furniture (not comfy), and memory foam beds (also not comfy).
Cons:
-The property was clean, but poorly. We found hair in the showers, the sheets on one of the beds had a large odd colored stain so we had to rewash those linens, and there was a roach in the dishwasher.
-If you use the washer, beware that it is LOUD, annoyingly LOUD. If you're a light sleeper do not run the washer while you nap or sleep at night.
-There were no linens provided for the sofa bed, and we were told they do not provide a blanket for the sofa bed. Still don't understand that logic. We did receive linens after calling for some.
-Also, no beach/pool towels are provided and only a limited amount of bath towels.
-The rental is very private, but so private that you get no natural light inside, and no natural air flow. That was a bummer since it was beautiful weather.
Overall, if I had to I'd rent here again, but honestly our next visit will be in a rental closer to the beach and with more natural light. I and my family understand that there is no perfect rental, but I think it's important for future renters to have the facts about what they're renting. Also, the golf cart rental company just across the main highway is highly recommended; as well as the seafood place next to it.

This is a nice condo with lots of living space. The king size beds in the bedrooms are really nice. The pull out sofa bed is not so good, but it's ok. There definitely needs to be a bigger trash can in the kitchen and trash cans at least in the bathrooms. We were constantly having to take out the trash. The main downside to this complex is that it is on 361 and you're not allowed to drive golf carts on 361. It's pretty treacherous to try to get across 361 to the roads you can drive on. Nice place, just not convenient for getting to and from the beach especially when you like to use a golf cart to do that. Nice new place, just not as close to the beach as I like to be.

Outstanding Choice!!!!
My husband, son, granddaughter and I just returned from an awesome week in Port A. This condo was part of what made ur stay so memorable and relaxing. The privacy of the individual courtyards with an outside shower and sitting area made coming in from a day at the beach extremely easy. A water hose was provided to rinse off inflatables, beach toys, etc. The condo itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay. It was immaculately clean and well-maintained. Loved the pools. Management was friendly and helpful. Location was PERFECT. Will be back!!!!!

We had an amazing time at PB102. The cottage was clean and well kept. The only concern was all the ants! When we arrived the carpet on the patio was covered with ants and they would not go away. We had to constantly spray the patio off so the kids could come outside. Also our parking spots were taken by the cleaning crew so we had to park at the hotel after a long day at the beach :(. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we will be back next year.

We usually stay at the Beachhead but they were booked the weekend that we went. This was our first time at Pirates Bay. We liked it. The only thing is that there is so much traffic on that main street that it is difficult to get in and out of the property.

We had a great stay at Ahoy Matey. The house was very clean..that is a huge deal for me! There was everything you needed kitchen-wise, all in new condition. Supplies & linens were plentiful. We rented a buggie, which made our stay very fun & having the extra parking spot for it was helpful. The only bummer was that the pools were a bit warm, but that is hard to avoid during August in South Texas! They were very nice, though..

We were very pleased with our condo for the weekend! The pool was awesome with the sloped entry(perfect for our 10month old), the room was nice, clean, and the AC worked nicely;), and the two king beds were VERY comfy which can be hard to find! Overall a wonderful spot!
