Beautiful decor and furnishings. Lovingly restored mansion house. Lovely confirmable bath and modern shower. Nice view of the estuary. Slept like a log. Lovely breakfast.

Absolutely beautiful location with a superb view! The room was very comfortable and spacious and the bathroom with huge walk in shower was enormous! Our hostess Miraine took excellent care of us!

The property is furnished and finished to and extremely high standard. Considering it’s a Grade 2 listed building, every aspect of the property was immaculate.
It’s not technically en suite. But, it’s over 150 years old, which is understandable. You’ve got your own dedicated bathroom which is just outside your door.

The breakfast was amazing, there was a wide range of choice to cater for every need and I would recommend the three main dishes I had (one of them twice). The location was as advertised, close enough for easy access to most of North Wales.
Cannot think of anything.

Breakfast OK - Nice home made jams, fresh fruit and delicious Welsh tea
The cooked full Welsh was dry. Duvet cover a bit discoloured. But bedding lovely fresh & clean.

Friendly. Mirain was really accommodating. The views were excellent and definitely worth the money to stay in taldraeth. We had our own key to come and go as we pleased. The variety of breakfast facilities was exceptional.
The bed was a bit short. Anyone over 5'10 would have trouble getting comfy in all honesty.

Our very warm and congenial hostess. She gave every attention to her very high standards.
Not really about our venue - but more about the town of Penrhyndedreath: the town council needs to encourage some good entrepreneurial restaurateurs to open some good dining in the town

Very warm welcome. Delicious breakfast with homemade jams.
Beds are very comfortable

Very cosy room, comfortable bed and excellent bathroom.
Minor point that you have to come out of your room onto the landing to go into your bathroom. However there is only one other room so it really wasn’t a problem.

What an amazing place! This is a fabulous house that's crammed with fascinating antiques and traditional Welsh furniture. Our room was large with a brass bed with a canopied head, a seating area, flat screen tv, wardrobe, dressing table with drawers and a side table with tea and coffee-making facilities. There were home-made Welsh cakes too! The ensuite shower room was clean and there were lots of toiletries and many other useful bathroom items available. The lighting in the bathroom was great and the shower was spacious with both a monsoon and a hand-held shower head. Towels, face cloths and bathrobes were nice quality. Our host, Mirain, offered us tea/coffee and home-made cakes when we arrived and this was in the charming dining room where we also had breakfast. This room was available to guests if we wanted to get takeaways from local restaurants. We let Mirain know what we'd like for breakfast from the menu the night before and both mornings, we weren't disappointed! The Welsh breakfast was tasty with bacon and sausage that was beautifully cooked and not greasy! The Welsh rarebit with sage and onion was delicious as was the porridge on our second morning. Mirain has lived in the area all her life and as such is very knowledgeable and able to advise on local amenities and history. It was a real pleasure to meet her and to stay in her home. I would highly recommend this wonderful guest house.
Can't think of anything!

Taldraeth has wonderful views and were an inspiration for me as a landscape painter.
The bed was super-comfy and my breakfast at Taldaeth was picture-perfect and tasted even better!
Mirain made me the most delicious porridge that I have ever tasted.
It is the first time that I have ever seen taps with the Welsh for hot and cold on them, I want some!(Great attention to detail).
I had such a lovely time, I will definitely book again when I am in the area.

4.7
Excellent breakfast with good portions

Quirky and old fashioned - quiet with secure parking.
Mirian the host was very welcoming and the breakfasts were very good.
We’ll located for Portmeirion and other local attractions.
4.7
Location, quality of accommodation generally and attention to detail during our stay.
Although the bedroom chair was aesthetically pleasing and in keeping with the period feel, it was not comfortable to sit and read on and the only other chair was a hard upright one which again served a purpose but lacked comfort. Only a small suggestion for an otherwise excellent stay.

Lovely host. Really well located for beaches, mountains and lakes. Easy to get to sights like Port Merion. Tasty breakfast. Very warm welcome with tea and cakes. On site parking. Good management of Covid 19 requirements in a seamless way that didn’t interfere with our stay.
4.7
There was a lovely welcome from the owner Mirain on arrival with a home made cream tea. The room was exquisite, large and decorated beautifully with the most comfortable bed and a large bathroom. The views over the estuary and the mountains were fabulous and were the finishing touches to a lovely stay. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.

Beautiful place with wonderful owners.
