Good location, cold showers every morning

Good location, easily able to walk to all the main parts of the island

There was no hot water in the morning for showers. At night time the hot water worked fine for the showers. But every morning I used to have a completely cold shower, and there were a couple of days where the water was almost turned off and just a dribble in the morning. They provided water in a bottle on the first day, but because there isn't daily room service, the bottle never gets refilled. We hate constantly having to buy plastic bottles, so we used to have to ask to refill our bottles at the end of the night - and they were always accommodating, but it would be nice if the water is refillable because we use it for everything, including brushing our teeth and cleaning our tooth brush with it

breakfast take 30-40 minutes to get food as only two persons are in the kitchen. Dirty cups and plates at breakfast, overall hygiene could be on higher level

Comfortable paradise on the island

Our favourite stay in Bali! This is a little paradise. The owners were there to welcome us which made us feel right at home. The staff were so thoughtful and friendly, they organised breakfast and scooters for us, and provided fresh drinking water everyday. The ‘villas’ are small but private and comfortable. We had the BEST sleep of our entire trip in their beds, a loved the clean and modern bathroom. Each bungalow has its own private porch, great spots to read and chill if it’s during rainy season. It’s a small hotel so always quiet and welcoming. The pool and gardens are lovely to relax. Everything is clean and beautifully maintained. Turns out his is an amazing location (especially if you have scooters), right in the middle of the island meaning far from the loud beach street but within minutes from the West, and North east and south side of the island (from which you can take the bridge to Cenigan island).

A little disapointing.

Central location on the Gili Air Island. The swimming pool was also nice.

The price is too high in comparison with other very good hotels around Lombok. The bed was very hard and we had two big geckos inside our bedroom. During the night they made very loud noises. The breakfast was not really nice, with absolutely just the mininum to call it a buffet. We were never asked from the staff if we had a good stay or if we enjoyed Gili Air.

Sometimes it could be noisy A couple of spots that need fixing i.e. chair and the shampoo dispenser when the cleaner finished his/her job, the door to the outside bathroom was open, ensuring a couple of bugs could enter the room

Do not recommend at all

Good location and bike rental available.

Generally dirty. Cutlery for breakfast, bottles for the water, table where tea and coffee was served was dirty and covered in ants most days. Breakfast was poor and very basic compared to other establishments 100m away. Pool had a smog over it and the sun beds / loungers were dirty as left out constantly. Our bathroom doors to outside didn’t lock as they were broken. room felt dirty and woke up in the night very itchy. Stains in the bed sheets. no safety deposit box. The whole place needs a good clean and management to stein in and bring the standards up as it was a terrible experience. I’m confused how their score was so high on booking .com which is why we chose it but I definitely wouldn’t go back. It is the worst place we’ve stayed in Bali over our 3 weeks.

Superb

The staff was amazing, they went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. It is a nice location and the room was very comfortable.

Considering that its was the first time the hotel opened up after 2 years, some areas needed a bit of cleaning but considering the price I was given, it was a small issue.

Great Hotel - Very Clean

Everything! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was cooked fresh and the kitchen was very clean! The rooms were comfortable and clean - I really enjoyed my stay at Samata. The location was ideal on Gili Air also.

Everything ! Good breakfast (except the coffee, a better coffee will be appreciated for sure ) friendly staff, nice pool, close to beach and restaurants on the beach.

Maybe more signs with the name of the villa, from the harbour to the accomodation. It will help a lot, because it is not that easy to get to it.

Beautiful villa

Very beautiful place! Our villa (suite) was great. Staff was super, friendly and very helpful; they organized private snorkeling trip and private fishing trip for us, with good price. Amazing pool area, clean and warm water! Rooms are spacious and comfortable and very clean. The rooms were cleaned every day. Close to the beach. Lots of restaurants nearby. Bikes for renting available at the property.

Breakfast can be improved.
