An oasis in the middle of the city with very spacious rooms and nice pool area. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

Location was excellent with a wonderful dining room and rooftop bar. Staff in the dining room and front desk were friendly and responsive.

Loved Palace Gate Hotel and Resort and will stay again when back in Phnom Penh

Our suite room was spacious and beautiful. Perfect location for exploring the city. Amazing pool area and great food options to relax after exploring out in the heat.

Fabulous

Beautiful hotel. A hidden gem in the city centre. Pool area is like a tropical paradise.Had breakfast on the terrace of the old Colonial French building. staff service was superb.

Great location, great pool, great service!

Very close to the Imperial Palace, beautiful view from the room and great swimming pool. Do not miss the Sky Bar! Thank you especially to Ms Pisey Khuon for her help during our stay!

Perfectly located hotel next door to the royal palace. Very well appointed.

The hotel was lovely. Our room was ample sized, had everything we needed and very well appointed. Loved the shower and bathroom set-up was very functional. The pool and surrounds were lovely. We enjoyed an evening meal at the restaurant.

There was not anything negative to say about this hotel. The amenities were lovely and the staff were friendly. We only stayed one night as we were in transit.

Perfecto hotel en Phnom Penh! Repetiría sin dudarlo!!

Todo!! Hotel bonito, muy buen situado, habitaciones amplias, muy cómodas y limpias. La zona de la piscina y los tratamientos del spa muy buenos!! Calidad y cantidad de la oferta de desayuno muy buena también. Todo el personal es muy atento y eficiente!! Es un oasis en la caótica Phnom Penh.

No es culpa del hotel que algunos niños de los huéspedes no tengan educación, pero si debería de intervenir algún manager de área antes de que lo tenga que hacer otro huésped cuando hay niños en la piscina a las 9 de la mañana como si estuvieran en un parque infantil, chillando y corriendo por toda la piscina cuando la gente está desayunando o intentando relajarse. Es un hotel de 5 estrellas y obvio es para todo el mundo pero por eso mismo hay que cuidar y priorizar que se cumplan unas normas de sentido común. Igual que si hubiera una persona adulta chillando o en actitud inadecuada se le diría, a un padre de familia también. Tampoco nos gustó tener que irnos :)

Lovely base for exploring Phnom Penh

Spacious rooms with lovely views Lovely property in super location Generous breakfast, super-helpful staff

(Based on my three visits) gym lacks a/c — unacceptable when daily highs are hittong 92-93 degrees (33C). Also was unattended and messy. Room key is needed for lights and a/c, yet inable to issue us two keys upon arrival. (So preventing me from leaving room in a.m. while spouse sleeping.)

De ligging van het hotel

Dit is eigenlijk een hotel wat enkel voor volwassenen zou moeten zijn. De looks en de sfeer van het hotel wordt volledig teniet gedaan door de vele aanwezigheid van kinderen die er in grote getallen aanwezig zijn. Verder zijn ze naast het hotel aan het werken en aangezien we kamer aan deze zijde hadden hoorde je ook veel lawaai hiervan. Dit had ook vermeld mogen worden.

Très bon hotel parfaitement placé mais pas vraiment un 5*.

Globalement très bon hôtel dans lequel on se sent bien et dont les principaux atours sont l’emplacement parfait (en face du Palais Royal) et la très belle piscine située dans un jardin luxuriant et calme. Roof top bar très agréable et personnel de service souriant et gentil.

Le personnes niveau management est vraiment peu efficace et meme assez désagréable. Service de concierge nul voir inexistant. A part essayer de vous vendre des services payants et clés en main, ils ne connaissent rien. Des petits détails de finition pas dignes d'un vrai 5* et service en général pas au top. Chambres assez impersonnels bien que très propres et grandes.

an amazing hotel

it was an oasis tucked into a big city. the rooms were spacious , the breakfast was fantastic and the staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. the roof top bar overlooking the palace was breathtaking. it was the highlight of our stay in Cambodia.

the staff who can ruin an experience

Definitely, the staff. Our flight was delayed few hours and we arrived in the middle of night, being received by an unfriendly receptionist. He charged our card, answering that all expenses are included (the transportation from the airport), but 30 min later, at 3 am, he called our room telling that he actually forgot the charge the transportation!! in the middle of the night! the staff from breakfast restaurant was also inattentive!

Good stay.

Pool was very nice. Sky bar has an excellent view of the palace; was very windy so it could get a bit uncomfortable while you're eating around 8pm. Nice happy hour cocktails by the pool All staff was very nice & helpful. Front office staff helped to get some engineering tape to repair my main luggage: ripped from my transport from Kampot in a mini van

Nothing that we don't like. Just some improvements in some areas. We requested for a room with a view. Was given a room that was facing the roof & top floor of the restaurant. Our balcony overlook the breakfast spread. Some parts of the hotel areas looks tired & needed some refurbishment. We went for a couple's massage. My partner had a good & experience therapist whilst I did not. I needed my masseur to work on certain areas but I felt like she wasn't quite sure what she was doing. While settling our bill, we found out that my therapist was very new.

Great location and facilities. Understaffed in spots dampers the overall experience

Location excellent. Facilities wonderful. Restaurant food was excellent.

Front desk staff, security, Tuk Tuk drivers were excellent and on par with the service level we’ve experienced so far in Cambodia. The Sky Bar view great but the poor service spoiled the moment. I brushed off as a one time incident. But also had to chase down a person to order at the pool since the pool bar was also understaffed. Then there was a mix up about paying the pool tab. We paid at the restaurant but front desk thought we didn’t pay. All was quickly sorted and luckily I had the receipt. It was all just a bit off and possibly due to new staff and still being short staffed. We stayed at cheaper hotels on this trip and the service was beyond excellent. I would have expected the same or better at this luxury hotel. Would I stay again? Maybe. Can’t beat the location and facilities. But I would shop around first based on the service received. Hopefully this experience is temporary as staffing gets back to normal after the pandemic.
