Dutch Courage is a super Pawleys Island home that is just steps away from having sand between your toes! Newly renovated with a brand new state-of-the-art kitchen equipped with stainless steel appliances perfect for the avid cook. Enjoy your family meals at the awesome dining room table fit with a lazy Susan. New beds throughout the house gives plenty of room for the whole family. Right across the street from the nearest beach access in the "Bird's Nest" of the South end of Pawleys, this house is hard to miss - it's Bright blue with a colorful "Dutch Courage" sign out front! The porches on the house (both screened and unscreened) are great for those sunny beach days and warm nights relaxing from a full day in the sand.
The first floor features one bedroom with a king bed and the 2nd bedroom features a queen. Upstairs there are two rooms that feature a queen in each and one room with 2 twins. The last area is a lofted area upstairs in the hall with a twin bed with trundle. This home is sure to become a family favorite! The carpet is very dirty. The queen bed downstairs iis not comfortable. The mattress must be old as it is lumpy. The wicker bed upstairs shakes when you bump into it. The bagroom ceiling leaks over the shower. The toilet stops up on a regular basis. This could be a grea hoose but repairs need to be made.

Great location just steps from the beach. The house was spacious and clean with new paint and remodeled kitchen. My family loved Pawleys and already wanting to plan a return. The folks at Tidelife couldn’t have been nicer and the whole experience was easy and friendly.

The house was as described by Tidelife Vacation Rentals. Good communication and easy key pick up. The kitchen was well stocked and laid out. We loved the huge round table for our 9...now we all want to install a lazy Susan at home, perfect! Lots of comfy chairs. I really liked that the main TV was in a nook off of the living room so TV watchers weren’t in the center of the living space. The grandkids had a blast under the house on rainy days. There are tons of board games and paperbacks. Big side entry porch to leave sandy shoes. Plenty of parking, we had 3 cars. The right side stairs are split with a landing so easier to navigate with beach bags and groceries. I did like the open plastic shelf unit at the end of the kitchen, it let us have all the food and drinks visible to grab and go. Plenty of Corelle dishes and non breakable cups! But...the full front of the house screen porch was terrific for soaking up the beach breezes, listening to the waves and hanging out at night just rocking away... Hopefully we will be back next year! We all loved BisQit, Moes, Quigleys, La Famiglia, DeRomas, Rosie’s and of course Gilbert’s for Ice Cream!

Everything was very nice from a location standpoint. The rental company was very responsive and easy to work with. We did have some issues with ants and the door knobs downstairs came off for no reason. Everything was addressed promptly and the ants were finally gone. Overall a great experience.

TideLife was great to work with. The credit we received to rent beach chairs etc was awesome! The house was comfortable and well equipped! The towels and linens provided by TideLife were good quality. Screen in Front Porch was great to relax in. A new grill is needed on the property, steak knives and lobster crackers.

Best vacation EVER!!
Mini family reunion from 3 states. We all had such a great time. Dutch Courage was perfect. We all decided the pictures don’t do it justice! So nice to run back from the beach to grab food or drinks. Hide under the house made rinsing sandy feet a breeze. We rented chairs and a cabana tent which was set up and dismantled for us each day. When it rained we still got to enjoy the beach from under our tent. Kitchen had everything and anything we needed to prepare meals. We all enjoyed the remarkable lazy Susan as we sat around the large table together. We would cone back here in a heartbeat!!

The house was very clean and well maintained. We especially enjoyed the large round table with a lazy Susan for meals with family and friends. This is our third year renting with Tidelife and they are very easy to work with . We will definitely us them again and have recommended them to friends.

Great place for a quiet getaway
Rental and check-in experience were fantastic and location couldn't be better for a quiet getaway and beach access. House was updated in most areas that matter and only minor things kept this from 5 stars across-the-board. Thanks for the stay...we definitely enjoyed our stay and will consider in the future when looking in the area! 4.5 stars!

we come to Pawleys Island every year and rent a beach house. This was the worst one we have ever rented. there were roaches all over the house that came out every night some as large as our big toe. The house was outdated which would have been ok but it was also very dirty. the bathroom smelled, the shower tracks were so gross. we paid almost $4000 for a week and it was not worth it. we have stayed in much nicer houses on Pawleys for the same amount.

We’ve stayed at this property when it was “Dinkins”, and managed by a different company. The extensive renovations that have been done by the new owners are wonderful, and the location makes it a great place to celebrate the 4th of July. Adding access to the porch from outside, and extending the deck around the side of the house is a huge improvement. The interior is clean and bright; a welcome change from the wood paneling. We really appreciated the new kitchen layout, new appliances, and especially the changeover to gas cooking. Our 2 week stay, overall, was enjoyable, but would have been better if more space had been made in the kitchen to accommodate our food (most things had to sit out on the limited counter space); if there had been room in the bedroom closets to hang clothes/store luggage (the bedroom closets were large enough, but they were full of stuff); and if there had been a few small tables inside and on the porch to accommodate a drink/book. There was also a vehicle parked in the only space that was under the house which made it inconvenient when bringing groceries in when it was raining. Tidelife staff are a pleasure to work with, and we especially appreciated having linens provided with the rental rather than having to rent separately or bring our own.

Overall it was a great stay at this property and the area was perfect for our trip.
Our experience with this property was really good. This property gets an A+ for the beach access. The access is right across the street and toes could be in the sand in less than a minute walk. This was perfect for little ones. The kitchen was just remodeled with all new appliances. Really nice kitchen. Really nice round table that easily sat 9 people. The screened in front porch was awesome. Especially in the early morning or late evening. The 2 TVs in the bedrooms downstairs didn’t have any power cords and property management said they were on order. They did deliver one for us that we were able to use the last 2 nights. The 2 bedrooms upstairs did not have TVs in them. TVs would have been nice in these. Overall our experience at this property was really good. It fit our needs well. Property manager was quick to respond as well. Great working with them.

Close enough to hear the waves crash and see the ocean while enjoying morning coffee or an evening cocktail in a rocking chair on the front porch. The house is large with 5 spacious bedrooms and a day bed in the the loft. Love the huge round table with lazy susan for family meals. It was nice to find a reasonably priced home that allowed our whole family, including our two dogs, to enjoy a comfortable beach vacation. Pictures don't do the home justice.
