Would recommend!

The location doesn't get any better, close to the beach and a number of cafes, restaurants, bars and so on. The staff is super nice, the garden around the pool is very pleasant as well. My partner and I had to work 2 of the 4 days we stayed (3-11pm local time to match CET) and the WiFi speed exceeded my expectations (I should say it was the very first time we work from an overseas destination and I was apprehensive, my expectations could have been low to start with, but I managed to have group calls on teams/zoom/google and load heavy-ish reports, so thumbs up!!

What could have been nicer is a higher coffee table on the balcony and a laundry rack, which all the rooms by the pool had (we stayed in the building closer to the reception). You know how booking.com suggests a room upgrades sometimes but there is no actual difference between the rooms, I think in this case the pool area rooms are worth the extra €2-3 per night.

Traveling alone.

Very good quiet location near the beach. Big room with a good bed. A good pool area and a convenient kitchen section with water, coffee and a fridge and stove. Extremely clean.

Will stay again

Location is great, unbeatable. Will definitely choose this place again if I stay in Canggu. Room is good, toilet is big. Simple and slightly dim but definitely good enough for me. Daily cleaning and changing of towels and sheets which was great On the first day my door lock was faulty, the staff were very helpful and ensured it was fixed properly for me. The rest of my 7 day stay was great. Wifi is also stable, managed to do some work/take video calls/meetings from the room.

Outdoor toilet means insects/mosquitos are inevitable, but it was fine for me.

Очень приятный отель: Уютный номер, зеленая ухоженная территория, расположение в 5 минутах пешком от моря, но в тихом переулке. Рядом полно кафе/ресторанов. Есть общая кухня, убираются каждый день. Чистый бассейн на территории. Тишина и пение птиц

В номере нет холодильника, фена (вдруг, кому нужно)дверь закрывается на обычный ключ. При заезде полы были внешне чистыми, но по факту прошлись по полу и ноги все в песке. Вайфай иногда вылетал

If you value hygiene and clean sheets then don’t stay here otherwise go for it.

Location, basic accommodation but ok

I was horrified when I checked out of my room ( I sat by the pool waiting for my friend) to watch the cleaner clean my room and my friends room and not change the linen on the bed . None of it. He remade the beds with the same sheets and pillows that I slept on and the same in her room. Not impressed as how many people have slept on the same sheets without being cleaned.

Bon emplacement mais c’est tout

Très bon emplacement sur la rue principale à 5 min à pied de la plage.

Notre chambre prenait l’eau (les murs et le sol étaient plein d’eau alors qu’il ne pleuvait pas). On nous déplace dans une autre chambre qui a le même problème et qui sent en plus la moisissure. Finalement on nous déplace dans une 3ème chambre à côté de la piscine mais juste pour une nuit, on a du à nouveau changer de chambre pour la nuit suivante alors que la chambre dans laquelle nous avions dormis n’était pas occupée la nuit suivante. Séjour de 2 nuits et nous avons eu 4 chambres différentes, aucune compensation pour le dérangement… également les chambres ne sont pas en bon état, des traces de moisissures sur les murs et plafonds. C’est le pire hôtel que nous avons eu en 3 semaines à Bali ! À savoir : les chambres économiques ne se trouvent pas au même endroit que la piscine. La piscine et les autres chambres se trouvent dans un autre bâtiment au bout de l’impasse. Préférez les chambres dans ce bâtiment bien mieux.

Second stay here. Really enjoyed it.

Very relaxing oasis next to the surf spot

Very relaxing spot at the heart of Canggu! Less than 10min walk to the surf spot (perfect for beginners and longboarders) and a myriad of great restaurants and shops. The central pool and tropical garden are a gem to relax in between activities.

Loved Putu home stay very very much. Bathroom was absolutely lovely which is something you definitely don’t take for granted in Indonesia, and in one of the busiest places in Bali, being Canggu, it was such a lovely and peaceful place to stay if that is more of what you are going for. Room and decor was lovely and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Not for families

Location

The property is suitable for couple/solo. No room facilities ( Kettle/Chiller/Hair dryer) however they have a common kitchen for all bungalows. While the location is good and quiet from main road noise; we will not return. Towels were dirty, floors not clean with chemicals rather with a brush. Pool; does not invite for swimming; hardly saw 1-2 guest in it. There are plenty of challenges for families with small kids, my child just fall from 1.5 high fracturing his arm due to not hand rail in our room balcony. So entire day in Denpasar emergency services. Did they worried? Receptionist kept playing tik tok. They replied she is not in charge of facility management. They should not allocated this rooms for families.

I visited Putu as a solo traveler. The family was warm & friendly and I felt safe & comfortable.

Putu Homestay is run by a warm, & friendly family. Their breakfasts are delicious & there is an area to make your own food if needed.

The bathroom was a little tired although that is ti be expected in a Homestay. They did their best to make it feel clean & tidy.

Would like confirmation when booking 4am airport transfer. The Homestay booked our transfer twice and we ended up getting the brunt of a very unhappy driver.

Amazing

A great homestay! The staff are so welcoming and helpful! The location is perfect, everything is in walking distance. The rooms are a decent size and clean! The pool is always clean too. Free drinking water and cooking space, however we didn’t use this as there are so many restaurants around! I cannot fault our stay here at all! I would 100% recommend.

Great experience!

Location is great, near the beach and close to many cafes, restaurants and shops. The room was on the back of the property facing the pool and a beautiful garden so no noise from the street. Room was spacious and comfortable, bedsheets clean and super smooth. The family running the place is welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend it!

Simply amazing

Very nice, clean rooms and bath. Pool is very nice and has a open kitchen nearby for everyones use. Very central in canggu, friendly and helpful staff. Would stay there again!

Putu is fab and the owners are amazing and the 'new block' are lovely rooms and are good value for the price i paid, however sadly the location of this place is let down massively from the bar Old Mans which is on batu balong beach but the noise travels right through to the new block and can sometimes go on till 1 2 am - i feel desperately sorry for the owners but its impossible to sleep and as such i could not extend my stay as it was not sustainable for me i am a light sleeper so perhaps this might not affect everyone - I do hope and pray that the owners have been able to speak to the authorities regarding the noise as this for sure could dent their business quite badly - I would def visit PUTU again as the facilites are great, pool and outdoor shared kitchen dinning area wifi is great and its the perfect place to be a digital nomad from but the new block just takes the hit from the noisy nightlife sadly I stayed in December and January this year so worth noting it may have all been addressed by now.
