The hotel was almost empty (or felt that way) when we stayed. We were first given a room right next to the elevator, small and cramped. When we asked to change rooms, the staff resisted, and we had to insist on a change. The second room was larger, and we weren't tripping over each other. We had a lovely swim in the rooftop pool, and watched the sun setting over the hills. In the lobby, there is a lovely and very informative coffee-table photo book of sustainable tourism in the Philippines. Directly beside the hotel is a duty-free store, a huge outlet clothing store (many good finds here), and nearby is a local restaurant, The Gourmet Garage, with a small but good menu and wine selection. There are several spas and nail bars nearby, too.
The hotel is very dated, and the bathrooms had black mold growing along the caulking of the tub and toilet. One of our towels smelled moldy, too. There were no hand towels or face cloths in the bathroom. Breakfast was a disaster. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were the only guests there. Breakfast is a la carte, not buffet style. Once we ordered, it took 20 minutes for any food to arrive -- a plate of salad and a plate of 3 cubes of watermelon. Another 20 minutes later, one of the main plates arrived at the table, and the steak strips and eggs were cold. Not cool, like they had been sitting for 10 minutes, but ice cold, like they had been cooked hours prior, and undercooked, with watery whites. We sent it back to the kitchen and asked for hot food, properly cooked. Then the second plate arrived, and it too was ice cold! I went to the kitchen to speak with the chef, explained the problem, and asked him if he would eat the cold food. We finally got hot food to the table, poorly prepared. This is not a destination, but as a stopover between points A and B during our visit, it was sufficient.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Breakfast very good with good choices and nice location. We enjoyed the swimming pool located on roof. Parking available, big and nice smelling rooms. Room was cleaned every day. Location is in quiet area far from the crowds. We also tried the Tappaniaky restaurant. Amazing!

I like that they have all the facilities for kids and adults to enjoy. We're cyclists and it's a plus that the elevator is spacious and big enough to accommodate 3-4 bikes at a time. The rooms also had bike racks and you have enough space to move even with bikes in the room.
The air-conditioning could be better. There are times where it would not be as cold as we would have wanted and you can't change the temperature via the control box.

We were charged extra for each person in the room, even though we booked a room for four. Plus we had to pay for the extra two at breakfast. Breakfast was fair.

Location was good to the main road and places we wanted to visit, the staff were helpful and friendly
The hotel is very run down and in need of many repairs, at a guess I would say its now Chinese owned as the TV remote was all in Chinese, difficult to navigate and basically did not work. The breakfast was a shambles and the pool area is in need of a complete re fit (tiles cracked every where or missing completely, half finished toilets/changing area, no tap, no hand dryer working). The last time I visited Subic was about 6 years ago and since then the whole area seems to have suffered greatly, the Zoobic safari is so run down and looks like its almost derelict!! I am not sure many people now visit this are for a vacation.

Very dirty. We already changed room and still dirty. In the morning it looks dirtier. I was willing to pay high price to make sure that we will have a nice stay in a hotel but i was so dissapointed that i did not use the shower, bath tub and their pool. Carpet was also very dirty. If i was not tired i will leave and find a way cheaper place. I could not be angry at the receptionist bcos its not their fault. Management should teach people to clean and give them proper tools to reach the high area. Shower is full of molds , i just dont understand how they could ask a high price but does not prioritize the cleanliness. Its a common knowledge! I really regret staying. Please do a general thorough cleaning. Make sure that the shower and toilet is clean and of course everything! The only thing that was nice are the staff and the bfast. I wish i could get some of my money back.

The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. There was a problem with the hot water in my initial room, and the staff immediately responded and moved us to another room.
N/A - Great customer service

Great staff in a convenient location with very nice and spacious rooms. Even the gym had quality equipment. The location is conducive to walking to shopping as well as quick access to restaurants.
N/A - the options for the breakfast buffet could have been a little bit more elaborate to compliment the aviance of the environment.
- though I appreciate that was construction going on at the hotel, TRY NOT to start work at 8:00 a.m. in the morning.

The location is good, surrounded by trees and forest. It's cozy. The interior was spacious enough. We boarded the third floor, the common area had a playplace which my kids really loved. The staff are cordial and sweet, they even lent my toddler a rechargeable toy car for his enjoyment. The staff are also mindful of the guest needs. The breakfast is good, my Mom said so. Also it could be a lot better by adding more options like pasta, pancakes, pastries, more fruits, fruit juice. The breakfast area is good too, very relaxing. Too bad I wasnt able to experience the upper deck pool and spa, lack of time. They also provided discounts for Zoobic Safari for adults, you just need to check with the reception for endorsement.
Considering to book this property again in the next few months.
Had to pay extra for towels. For other hotels, this is free of charge. Also, there is no toothpaste. They probably forgot to include that in the welcome packet. No problem with no toothpaste it's just that this is already a standard in all hotels to have toothpaste in the guest packets. I had to pay extra for my mom, not sure why and this wasnt upfront in the booking. I believed when I booked I'm paying exactly for 5 people but yeah, had to pay that extra head upon arrival at the hotel. The room we booked was already very spacious and enough for a family of 5, so I think the extra head charge was unnecessary.

Good location on the fringe of town with shops nearby. Rooftop pool was refreshing with a nice view of the mountains. Breakfast was delicious with a decent buffet. Room was a nice size, The shower is huge with great water pressure and quick hot water, goes in my top 10 for bathrooms. Bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and accomodating.
The place could do with some new wallpaper here and there and could do with a thorough clean, its not filthy but needs a good scrub here and there but overall was pretty clean. Air con was a bit noisy, sounded like a jet engine in the background. Its only a couple of minor things but if these were rectified it would definitely be a 5 star instead of 4
