About this farm stay rental
Enjoy your time on this picturesque 10 Acre 5 bedroom home & gardens set on a 110 acre farm with 360 degree views of the Macedon and Cobaw Ranges. Built in the 1860's, the house still has the old charm with two wood fireplaces and modern conveniences.
The house has 5 bedrooms each with a queen or double bed, 2 bathrooms plus a powder room. There are 2 log fires plus deducted gas heating and air conditioning in the main living areas.
The property also has the historic Wattle Hill Barn that was built in 1860 and fully restored in the 1990's. The barn is listed on the historic buildings register for the Macedon Area
Enjoy the gardens and BBQ facilities including outdoor table and chairs plus the new games room located in the original shearing shed.

Great Location in Macedon Ranges
Great location 5 mins drive to Hanging Rock, Lancefield and Romsay. 15 min drive to Woodend and Mt Macedon. Easy access. The property is a working farm so the owners maybe onsite at certain times to tender the farm potentially staying in the Wattlehill Barn which is a separate building on the western side of the main property. Guests will have complete privacy of the main Hillcrest house, games room and gardens during their stay. If you would like to have any farm experience while staying at the property please feel free to reach out to us.

This property was perfect for a long weekend away with our adult children and grandchild. The house is very clean and extremely well resourced. The gardens are just gorgeous, with little pockets to enjoy as well as bigger spaces to all come together. Wayne was a terrific host, checking in a couple of times to make sure all was well.

9 adults and 3 generations came together for 4 nights. Stunning house, loads of space, amazing kitchen with all the implements and pantry basics for gourmet meals, lovely property and such a convenient location. Thanks for sharing this property.

Stayed with 9 adult family members for my daughter's birthday weekend away. Stunning property and amazing host in Wayne. Loved the games room where competition took place in table tennis and darts! Would highly recommend. Thanks for being part of a memorable weekend Wayne!

The kitchen and living space is really big so its perfect for a family or larger group to use. Great location to local wineries as well. Highly recommend a stay at this place.

Really gorgeous house, combining old and new, resulting in a house with both style and character. And a few quirky things. Overall it’s a very special place and we all enjoyed the opportunity to experience it for the weekend. Wayne was a very helpful host.

AMAZING ISN’T ENOUGH!
I stayed at this property with my bridesmaids the night before my wedding and the night following my wedding. This is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed at. What a beautiful property with so many photo opportunities! Highly recommend staying here!

Incredible place, perfect for events
Amazing house with sublime attention to detail from the linen sheets to the beautiful coffee mugs to the dried flowers. The grounds are stunning. Wake up to croaking frogs and a beautiful sunrise off the balcony. We got ready for our wedding here, then came back the next day for brunch. The place is far better than the photos make it look! The owner was flexible with our checkout time and easy to deal with. Highly recommend.

A gorgeous, spacious house with stunning views and gardens. Our guest was superb- great communication and provided a list of recommendations for activities, wineries and restaurants in the local area. Would highly recommend.

Perfect house for our group, including kids. The house is beautiful, old charm with modern amenities. There is everything you would need here. Great view of the valley, paddocks and cows. Wayne was really easy to communicate with and everything in the house was as described. We would love to come back again!

What a stunning property! We stayed her for our wedding, and got ready at the house for the big day - it was perfect to host our whole family and there were so many beautiful spots for photos. The house had everything we needed and we would love to come back. Wayne was very accommodating and great to deal with, thanks!

Beautiful property! We didn't want to leave
Hillcrest Country Estate is the most beautiful property you will never want to leave. The house was perfect for our bridal party and provided such a special and relaxing backdrop to our weekend. We felt so welcome and comfortable in the home. Information provided by the owner was so comprehensive and helpful we were thoroughly impressed! Communication was also great and certainly appreciated by an anxious bride-to-be! We hope to come back and visit again.
